The Rise Time of Type Ia Supernovae from the Supernova Legacy Survey
We compare the rise times of nearby and distant Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia)
as a test for evolution using 73 high-redshift spectroscopically-confirmed SNe
Ia from the first two years of the five year Supernova Legacy Survey (SNLS) and
published observations of nearby SN. Because of the ``rolling'' search nature
of the SNLS, our measurement is approximately 6 times more precise than
previous studies, allowing for a more sensitive test of evolution between
nearby and distant supernovae. Adopting a simple early-time model (as in
previous studies), we find that the rest-frame rise times for a fiducial SN
Ia at high and low redshift are consistent, with values
and
days, respectively; the statistical significance of this difference is only 1.4
\sg . The errors represent the uncertainty in the mean rather than any
variation between individual SN. We also compare subsets of our high-redshift
data set based on decline rate, host galaxy star formation rate, and redshift,
finding no substantive evidence for any subsample dependence.Comment: Accepted for publication in AJ; minor changes (spelling and

Multi-channel phase-equivalent transformation and supersymmetry
Phase-equivalent transformation of local interaction is generalized to the
multi-channel case. Generally, the transformation does not change the number of
the bound states in the system and their energies. However, with a special
choice of the parameters, the transformation removes one of the bound states
and is equivalent to the multi-channel supersymmetry transformation recently
suggested by Sparenberg and Baye. Using the transformation, it is also possible
to add a bound state to the discrete spectrum of the system at a given energy
if the angular momentum at least in one of the coupled channels .Comment: 9 pages, revtex; to be published in Phys. At. Nucl. (Oct. 2000
Исследование фармакокинетики и биоэквивалентности препарата Телзап® по сравнению с препаратом Микардис® у здоровых добровольцев после однократного приёма
Introduction. Telmisartan is widely used in clinical practice during hypertension treatment. It is a specific angiotensin II receptor antagonist (type AT1), effective at oral intake, A bioequivalence study of Telzap® and Mikardis® was conducted with 60 volunteers.Aim. The purpose of the bioequivalence trial was a comparative study of the pharmacokinetics and evidence of the bioequivalence of Mikardis® (telmisartan, tablets 80 mg, Boehringer Ingelheim International GmbH, Germany) and Telzap® (telmisartan, tablets 80 mg, Zentiva KS company, Czech Republic) in healthy volunteers after a single administration under fasting.Materials and methods. To prove bioequivalence, an open label, comparative, randomized, crossover four-period replicate single-center clinical trial was conducted. The concentrations of telmisartan in plasma samples were determined by a validated HPLC-MS/MS method. A pharmacokinetic and statistical analysis was performed and confidence intervals for the pharmacokinetic parameters Cmax and AUC0-72 were calculated. Results and discussion. It can be concluded that the studied formulations are bioequivalent in terms of pharmacokinetic parameters of test and reference drug. All 90 % confidence intervals of were within the bioequivalence range of 80–125 % for AUC0-72 and 73,07–136,85 % for Cmax.Conclusion. Thus, according to the criteria used in the study, the formulations are proved to be bioequivalent.

Introduction. A fixed dose combination of telmisartan and hydrochlorothiazide is indicated for treatment of in the treatment of arterial hypertension. The combination of these substances causes an additive effect that helps to reduce blood pressure. A bioequivalence study of Telzap® Plus compared with MikardisPlus® was conducted with 63 volunteers.Aim. The purpose of the bioequivalence trial was a comparative study of the pharmacokinetics and evidence of the bioequivalence of the fixed dose combination drug product Telzap® Plus (tablets 80 mg + 12,5 mg, Zentiva KS company, Czech Republic) compared with drug products MikardisPlus® (telmisartan+hydrochlorothiazide, tablets 80 mg + 12,5 mg, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma GmbH & Co. An observation of the meson in the system in the Pion- Interaction at Momentum of 29 GeV
The charge-exchange reaction ,
, is studied with
the upgraded VES facility (U-70, Protvino) in the interaction of a 29 GeV pion
beam with a beryllium target. The distribution over the invariant mass of the
system shows a near-threshold signal. A partial wave analysis
reveals that the scalar state () dominates in this mass region.
The observed signal can be described with a contribution of the known
resonance . Using OPE approximation for the reaction the product of branching fractions is found to be:
Thermonuclear Burning Regimes and the Use of SNe Ia in Cosmology
The calculations of the light curves of thermonuclear supernovae are carried
out by a method of multi-group radiation hydrodynamics. The effects of spectral
lines and expansion opacity are taken into account. The predictions for UBVI
fluxes are given. The values of rise time for B and V bands found in our
calculations are in good agreement with the observed values. We explain why our
results for the rise time have more solid physical justification than those
obtained by other authors. It is shown that small variations in the chemical
composition of the ejecta, produced in the explosions with different regimes of
nuclear burning, can influence drastically the light curve decline in the B
band and, to a lesser extent, in the V band. We argue that recent results on
positive cosmological constant Lambda, found from the high redshift supernova
observations, could be wrong in the case of possible variations of the
preferred mode of nuclear burning in the earlier Universe.Comment: 20 pages, 5 figures, presented at the conference "Astronomy at the
