To Alleviate the Ebola Virus Epidemic Diffusion

    Get PDF
The emergence of new drug can stop Ebola and cure patients whose disease is not advanced. It optimizes the eradication of Ebola, or at least its current strain. For the sake of dealing with this problem, there are three models being developed. Firstly, this paper establishes the model 1 on the basis of the classical model of SIR and diffusion characteristic of Ebola virus. It verifies the reduction of the spread of the virus, the improvement of the patient’s cure rate and the effectiveness of three preventive measures which are significant in the formation of herd immunity. At the same time, we use linear programming to control the cost of drug delivery. Model 2, namely, the model of SIR with pulse vaccination, provides a pulse vaccination therapy on the basis of model 1. Model 2 considers many factors comprehensively, such as the cycle of inoculation, vaccination rate, the birth rate, death rate and so on. We use differential equation models to get the critical condition of the number of susceptible people, vaccination rate, and the development of predicated estimate with the change of time. Next, based on the model 2, we establish model 3 which not only considers many factors comprehensively, such as the amount of supply, the location of supply and so on, but also introduce 0-1 variable to combine the general linear programming with another linear programming which is not fixed but multi objectives so that we get the drug delivery network. Meanwhile, this paper obtains the best drug delivery program which has to spend the minimum cost on the condition of effectively controlling the epidemic. Also the result can alleviate serious situation of the Ebola virus epidemic diffusion through the drug delivery network. This paper puts forward the improvement of the model by using the Self-Organizing Map neural network and cluster analysis to get the urgent degree of different epidemic areas and divide these areas into different priorities. We get a goal programming model based on different priority. Furthermore, we use the drug delivery model and Lingo to get a more reliable drug delivery program on the basis of the objective function of priority

CdS Quantum Dots as Fluorescent Probes for Detection of Naphthalene

A novel sensing system has been designed for naphthalene detection based on the quenched fluorescence signal of CdS quantum dots. The fluorescence intensity of the system reduced significantly after adding CdS quantum dots to the water pollution model because of the fluorescent static quenching f mechanism. Herein, we have demonstrated the facile methodology can offer a convenient and low analysis cost with the recovery rate as 97.43%-103.2%, which has potential application prospect

With the development of Chinese economic rapidly, the internationalization of RMB is on the top agenda. As for the glorious pattern of foreign trade in modern China, the One Belt and One Road is becoming the best stage for RMB shining. This passage use the statistics of RMB cross-border payments from 12/2013 to 03/2015 to forecast the total amount of RMB cross-border payments based on the grey prediction model and judge which detailed items have more effect on the RMB internationalization in OBAOR based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model. Finally, we give some advices to the government based on our results of model. Key words: The RMB internationalization; One belt and one road; The grey predictio

Effect of salt stress on growth and physiological parameters of sorghum genotypes at an early growth stage

404-411Physiological regulation affects plant salinity tolerance. The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of salt stress on the physiological regulation in sorghum at early growth stage. Two sorghum genotypes (GT), Bayeqi (salt-tolerant) and PL212 (salt-sensitive), were grown in an artificial climate chamber with a nutrition solution containing 0,80, 160, and 240 mM NaCl. Results showed that salt-tolerant sorghum had enhanced activities of antioxidant enzymes including catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POD), and superoxide dismutase (SOD), and increased stress-related osmolytes including free amino acids, and reducing and soluble sugars. Furthermore, ion regulation plays an important role in the osmotic adjustment. Results also suggest that K+/Na+ and Ca2+/Na+ ratios are associated with tolerance under salt-stressed environments and higher Na+ and lower K+ and Ca2+ concentrations are deleterious to sorghum growth. As a result, under salt-stressed environments, the salt-tolerant sorghum GT had better growth performance than salt-sensitive sorghum GT, which was evidenced by a greater plant high, leaf area, leaf fresh weight, and root fresh weight. Overall, under salt-stressed environments, the salt-tolerant sorghum GT had better growth performance including yield than salt-sensitive sorghum GT, which was evidenced by a greater plant high, leaf area, leaf fresh weight, and root fresh weight

Metal–Organic Framework MIL-101(Fe) Nanoparticles Decorated with Ag Nanoparticles for Regulating the Photocatalytic Phenol Oxidation Pathway for Cr(VI) Reduction

    Get PDF
Photocatalysis is a promising technology to treat dilute phenol–Cr(VI) mixture, where photoinduced electrons are commonly thought of as the main active species for Cr(VI) reduction. However, it generally depends on the surface adsorption to achieve efficient electron transfer. Meanwhile, the possible contribution of reductive quinone derivatives oxidized from phenol to Cr(VI) reduction has been rarely explored. The key is to explicitly understand the relation between the phenol oxidation pathway and Cr(VI) reduction. Herein, Ag/AgCl/MIL-101(Fe) prepared by directly loading Ag nanoparticles on MIL-101(Fe) was applied to the joint treatment of phenol and Cr(VI). The role of quinone derivatives in reducing Cr(VI) was revealed by excluding the surface adsorption. During the phenol oxidation, •OH radicals were more consumed in the initial stage for the ring opening of phenol. Meanwhile, 1O2 evolved from •O2– gradually caused the accumulation of reductive quinone intermediates, which dramatically accelerated the Cr(VI) reduction afterward. This study demonstrates the significance of controlling the evolution process of active oxygen species for the joint photocatalytic treatment of phenol–Cr(VI) mixture

Spectral interference of terahertz pulses from two laser filaments in air

    Get PDF
Spectral interference is experimentally demonstrated by two terahertz pulses emitting from filaments induced by two successive femtosecond laser pulses in air. Here, a leading pulse is set to be weaker than a trailing pulse and their temporal separation is larger than the pulse duration of the terahertz pulses. When the leading pulse is stronger than the trailing pulse, the frequency modulation within the whole terahertz envelope is greatly deteriorated due to nonlinear effects applying on the trailing pulse through the plasmas generated by the leading pulses. Such unique terahertz spectrum may find applications in terahertz spectroscopy
