Synthesis of Fused Heterocyclic Derivatives from 5-Ethyl-3-Hydrazino-5H-1,2,4-Triazino[5,6-b]Indole
5-Ethyl-3-hydrazino-5H-1,2,4-triazino[5,6-b ]indole II was used for the synthesis of various heterocyclic derivatives. This was performed by reaction of its 3-hydrazino group with different reagents such as acid anhydrides, ethylacetate, diethyl oxalate, thioglycolic acid, aroyl esters and acid chlorides. The structure of the products was confirmed by different spectroscopic and analytical methods
Should We Learn Probabilistic Models for Model Checking? A New Approach and An Empirical Study
Many automated system analysis techniques (e.g., model checking, model-based
testing) rely on first obtaining a model of the system under analysis. System
modeling is often done manually, which is often considered as a hindrance to
adopt model-based system analysis and development techniques. To overcome this
problem, researchers have proposed to automatically "learn" models based on
sample system executions and shown that the learned models can be useful
sometimes. There are however many questions to be answered. For instance, how
much shall we generalize from the observed samples and how fast would learning
converge? Or, would the analysis result based on the learned model be more
accurate than the estimation we could have obtained by sampling many system
executions within the same amount of time? In this work, we investigate
existing algorithms for learning probabilistic models for model checking,
propose an evolution-based approach for better controlling the degree of
generalization and conduct an empirical study in order to answer the questions.
One of our findings is that the effectiveness of learning may sometimes be

Lymphomes malins non-hodgkiniens primitifs des amygdales palatines
Introduction: The most predominant localization for extranodal non-hodgkinien lymphoma (NHL) in the head and neck region is the tonsil. The vast majority of NHL at this site is B-cell lymphomas.Materials and methods: The authors presented three cases of primary Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma of the tonsil, treated between 1995 and 2007Results: we report the cases of three men aged respectively 15, 42 and 72 years. They complained of a persistent odynophagia during three months ago. Clinical examination detected unilateral enlarged tonsil with ulcerated surface. All of them have bilateral tonsillectomy. The histopathologic examination concluded at a NHL with a B phenotype. The treatment consisted on chemotherapy for two patients and on radio and chemotherapy for the third patient. We have noted one death for our three patients.Conclusion: Primary NHL of the tonsil is rare. An advanced diagnosis is often difficult. Both histopathologic identification of the tumor and evaluation of the patient are essentiel for the therapeutic decision. Locally recurrent subcutaneous and muscular hydatid cysts of the leg: an unusual case report
We report a rare case of 50-year-old Moroccan woman with local recurrence of a subcutaneous hydatid cyst in proximity to the medial surface of the tibia and another cyst at the tibialis posterior muscle in the absence of liver, lung und spleen involvement. The first surgery was done in another hospital three years ago; no adjuvant treatment was performed after surgery. Recurrence was diagnosed according to the MRI appearance, serological and pathological findings. The patient underwent complete excision of the subcutaneous cyst with two centimeters of the medial gastrocnemius muscle; the tibialis posterior muscle cyst was intraoperatively drained and irrigated with scolicidal agent as it was next to the posterior tibial pedicle. A periopertive anthelmintic chemotherapy was administered. Two years after the patient showed no recurrence. This case report and literature review describe an approach to the diagnosis and management of this pathological entity

Regional subcortical shape analysis in premanifest Huntingtonâs disease
Huntingtonâs disease (HD) involves preferential and progressive degeneration of striatum and other subcortical regions as well as regional cortical atrophy. It is caused by a CAG repeat expansion in the Huntingtin gene, and the longer the expansion the earlier the age of onset. Atrophy begins prior to manifest clinical signs and symptoms, and brain atrophy in premanifest expansion carriers can be studied. We employed a diffeomorphometric pipeline to contrast subcortical structuresâ morphological properties in a control group with three disease groups representing different phases of premanifest HD (far, intermediate, and near to onset) as defined by the length of the CAG expansion and the participantâs age (CAGâAgeâProduct). A total of 1,428 magnetic resonance image scans from 694 participants from the PREDICTâHD cohort were used. We found significant regionâspecific atrophies in all subcortical structures studied, with the estimated abnormality onset time varying from structure to structure. Heterogeneous shape abnormalities of caudate nuclei were present in premanifest HD participants estimated furthest from onset and putaminal shape abnormalities were present in participants intermediate to onset. Thalamic, hippocampal, and amygdalar shape abnormalities were present in participants nearest to onset. We assessed whether the estimated progression of subcortical pathology in premanifest HD tracked specific pathways. This is plausible for changes in basal ganglia circuits but probably not for changes in hippocampus and amygdala. Paraneoplastic cerebellar degeneration is part of a rare spectrum of neurological syndromes whereby gynaecological, lung or breast cancers present primarily with neurological manifestations. The presence of onconeural antibodies and PET scanning help in the challenging diagnosis of these conditions but despite the treatment of the primary cancer, the prognosis for the neurological symptoms is poor
Histone deacetylase inhibitors in Hodgkin lymphoma
Although Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) is considered one of the most curable human cancers, the treatment of patients with relapsed and refractory disease, especially those who relapse after autologous stem cell transplantation, remains challenging. Furthermore, because of the young age of these patients, the impact of early mortality on the number of years lost from productive life is remarkable. Patients with relapsed HL post stem cell transplantation currently have no curative therapy, and are in need for new drugs and novel treatment strategies. While no new drugs have been approved for the treatment of patients with HL in more than three decades, several new agents are demonstrating promising results in early clinical trials. This review will focus on the emerging role of histone deacetylase inhibitors in patients with relapsed HL
Synârift sediment gravity flow deposition on a Late Jurassic faultâterraced slope, northern North Sea
Structurally controlled bathymetry in rifts has a significant influence on sediment routing pathways and depositional architecture of sediment gravity flow deposits. In contrast to rift segments characterized by crustal-scale half-grabens, the tectono-stratigraphic evolution of deep-water rift domains characterised by distributed faulting on narrow fault terraces has received little attention. We use 3D broadband seismic data, calibrated by boreholes, from the Lomre and Uer terraces in the northern North Sea rift to investigate Late Jurassic syn-rift sediment gravity flow systems on fault-terraced slopes. The sediment gravity flow fairways were sourced from hinterland drainages via basin margin deltaic systems on the Horda Platform to the southeast. The deep-water sedimentary systems evolve from initial, widespread submarine channelized lobe complexes, through submarine channels, to incised submarine canyons. This progressive confinement of the sediment gravity flow system was concomitant with progressive localization of strain onto the main terrace-bounding faults. Although the normal fault network on the terraces has local impact on deep-water sediment transport and the architecture of gravity flow deposits, it is the regional basin margin to rift axis gradient that dominantly controls deep-water sediment routing. Furthermore, the gravity flow deposits on the Lomre and Uer terraces were predominantly sourced by rift margin deltaic systems, not from erosion of local uplifted footwall crests, emphasising the significance of hinterland catchments in the development of volumetrically significant deep-water syn-rift depositional systems
