    Formation of discursive competence in EFL class

    The educational system of the present day in Russia puts forward new and new challenges: searching for novel ways of forming various competences of university students, with discursive competence dominating. In this paper, the authors make an attempt to prove that teaching students to write with argumentation in EFL class can become the basis for the formation of their discursive competence. Materials and instruments as well as teaching techniques of forming discursive competence in EFL class are investigated. The leading research method implemented in this study is an experiment conducted by the authors with the aim in view to assess the level of discursive competence that students can reach in EFL class. Drawing on methodical literature and personal teaching experience, the authors offer an authentic model of forming discursive competence in EFL class. The findings of the research can serve as general recommendations for university faculty and can be used in EFL class

    The paper is devoted to the study of the impact of art pedagogy on the development of educational motivation of students. Art pedagogy is an innovative direction, the purpose of which is to create a new cognitive methodology, to overcome psychological barriers of thinking, to build the interaction between a teacher and a student on the basis of reflection, educational and creative self-organization for intellectual and creative development. This technology is especially relevant in the capacity of an integration of art into the educational context for solving professional and pedagogical tasks of the modern educational practice. The purpose of the paper is to study the influence of art pedagogy techniques on the development of educational motivation of students - future teachers. The paper discusses the role and data of a comparative analysis of thematic planning for studying the course “History of Pedagogy and Education” in combination with the techniques of art pedagogy. It also describes the course and results of the experiment on the development of educational motivation of students using these techniques. The research methods were: theoretical analysis of scientific literature, generalization, survey, and pedagogical experiment. The findings of the research can be recommended for university and college faculty in training students - future teachers.El artículo está dedicado al estudio del impacto de la pedagogía del arte en el desarrollo de la motivación educativa de los estudiantes. La pedagogía del arte es una dirección innovadora, cuyo propósito es crear una nueva metodología cognitiva, superar las barreras psicológicas del pensamiento, construir la interacción entre un docente y un alumno sobre la base de la reflexión, la autoorganización educativa y creativa para la intelectualidad. y desarrollo creativo. Esta tecnología es especialmente relevante en la capacidad de una integración del arte en el contexto educativo para resolver tareas profesionales y pedagógicas de la práctica educativa moderna. El propósito del artículo es estudiar la influencia de las técnicas de la pedagogía del arte en el desarrollo de la motivación educativa de los estudiantes - futuros profesores. El artículo discute el papel y los datos de un análisis comparativo de la planificación temática para el estudio de la asignatura “Historia de la Pedagogía y la Educación” en combinación con las técnicas de la pedagogía del arte. También describe el curso y los resultados del experimento sobre el desarrollo de la motivación educativa de los estudiantes utilizando estas técnicas. Los métodos de investigación fueron: análisis teórico de la literatura científica, generalización, encuesta y experimento pedagógico. Los resultados de la investigación se pueden recomendar a los profesores universitarios y universitarios en la formación de estudiantes, futuros profesores.O documento é dedicado ao estudo do impacto da pedagogia da arte no desenvolvimento da motivação educacional dos estudantes.     A Comprehensive Model of Neuropsychological and Speech Assessment for Children with ASD

    Modern scientific projects connected with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) study the difficulties in differential diagnosis of ASD and other types of developmental dysphasia, issues of cognitive and physical development of children with ASD, formation of trajectories for their individual and group education and training, their social integration. The relevance of the study is explained by the necessity to work out a system of medical, psychological, linguistic and educational support for children with ASD corresponding to the modern requirements of society and global practices. The aim of the research is to develop a comprehensive model of neuropsychological assessment and study of speech development for preschool children with ASD. This model assumes the implementation of a) the Russian-language version of the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP), b) the Russian-language version of the BVL battery for speech assessment (BVL_RU), c) traditional for Russia approaches to the diagnosis of developmental disorders and speech impairment. The platform for the project is the kindergarten of Kazan Federal University "We are together". The comprehensive model includes a new methodological framework, which implements the achievements of cognitive sciences, neuropsychology and neurolinguistics in interdisciplinary fields. The results of the research can be implemented into the practice of teaching preschool children with ASD and become the basis for the further development of this comprehensive model for schoolchildren with ASD.1227-123

    International cooperation affects all spheres of human life. The medical field is no exception in this regard. In recent years, there has been an increase in interest in traditional Chinese and modern Chinese medicine in the global medical community. In this connection, there is an increasing need for specialists who speak Chinese as a foreign language. Specific of training such specialists for work in the health sector is the need to teach them a large number of medical terms and also to acquaint with the peculiarities of the Chinese mentality. This will make it possible to build a dialogue with Chinese colleagues more effectively. Because "the knowledge of behavioral patterns can progress students’ ability to model a dialogue and at large their speaking skills in the foreign language.". In addition, understanding the Chinese mentality through learning Chinese as a foreign language can solve the "problem of formation of ethno-cultural competence of students - future teachers.". As traditional medicine and modern medicine co-exist in the PRC, each of them has its own research vocabulary. The peculiarity of the terms pertaining to traditional Chinese medicine is that they are formed from polysemantic hieroglyphs and have a metaphorical character, which is due to the close relationship between traditional Chinese medicine and ancient Chinese philosophy. Therefore, the most effective approach to explain the meaning of the terms of traditional Chinese medicine is the use of the method of morphemic analysis in combination with an explaining philosophical and cultural concepts behind these terms. Most of these terms represent phonetic and semantic borrowings. The method of morphemic analysis is effective for explaining the meanings of semantic borrowings which occupy an important part in the terminological system of the Chinese language.La cooperación internacional afecta a todas las esferas de la vida humana. El campo de la medicina no es una excepción en este sentido. En los últimos años, ha habido un aumento en el interés por la medicina china tradicional y china moderna en la comunidad médica mundial. En este sentido, existe una creciente necesidad de especialistas que hablen chino como lengua extranjera. Específico de la formación de tales especialistas para el trabajo en el sector de la salud es la necesidad de enseñarles una gran cantidad de términos médicos y también familiarizarse con las peculiaridades de la mentalidad china. Esto permitirá construir un diálogo con los colegas chinos de manera más efectiva. Porque "el conocimiento de los patrones de comportamiento puede mejorar la capacidad de los estudiantes para modelar un diálogo y, en general, sus habilidades para hablar en el idioma extranjero". Además, la comprensión de la mentalidad china a través del aprendizaje del chino como lengua extranjera puede resolver el "problema de la formación de la competencia etnocultural de los estudiantes - futuros maestros". Como la medicina tradicional y la medicina moderna coexisten en la República Popular China, cada una de ellas tiene su propio vocabulario de investigación. La peculiaridad de los términos pertenecientes a la medicina tradicional china es que se forman a partir de jeroglíficos polisemánticos y tienen un carácter metafórico, lo que se debe a la estrecha relación entre la medicina tradicional china y la antigua filosofía china. Por lo tanto, el enfoque más efectivo para explicar el significado de los términos de la medicina tradicional china es el uso del método de análisis morfémico en combinación con una explicación de los conceptos filosóficos y culturales detrás de estos términos. La mayoría de estos términos representan préstamos fonéticos y semánticos.     Computing Russian Morphological distribution patterns using RusAC Online Server

    The article presents findings of distribution patterns of Russian grammatical categories computed with the help of MyStem.3 tagger and a proprietary Russian language processor, ETAP-3. The corpus of over 1.1 mln tokens compiled for the study comprises two types of academic texts used in Russian schools: Science textbooks and Humanities textbooks. We computed descriptive metrics of each textbooks with the help of the text analyzer RusAC (http://tykau.pythonanywhere.com/) and pursued the contrastive analysis of Science and Humanities classroom textbook features. Significant differences of two types of the texts were found in distribution patterns of noun cases and verbs tenses, while morphological patterns of nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs demonstrate similarities. The specifics of grammatical patterns defined for classroom textbooks can be used in further studies on distribution of morphological patterns and text complexity of Russian academic texts393-39
