SportsTrack: An Innovative Method for Tracking Athletes in Sports Scenes

The SportsMOT dataset aims to solve multiple object tracking of athletes in different sports scenes such as basketball or soccer. The dataset is challenging because of the unstable camera view, athletes' complex trajectory, and complicated background. Previous MOT methods can not match enough high-quality tracks of athletes. To pursue higher performance of MOT in sports scenes, we introduce an innovative tracker named SportsTrack, we utilize tracking by detection as our detection paradigm. Then we will introduce a three-stage matching process to solve the motion blur and body overlapping in sports scenes. Meanwhile, we present another innovation point: one-to-many correspondence between detection bboxes and crowded tracks to handle the overlap of athletes' bodies during sports competitions. Compared to other trackers such as BOT-SORT and ByteTrack, We carefully restored edge-lost tracks that were ignored by other trackers. Finally, we reached the SOTA result in the SportsMOT dataset.Comment: 7 pages,9 figure

The measurement and modeling of a P2P streaming video service

Most of the work on grid technology in the video area has been generally restricted to aspects of resource scheduling and replica management. The traffic of such a service has a lot of characteristics in common with that of the traditional video service. However the architecture and user behavior in grid networks are quite different from those of the traditional Internet. Considering the potential of grid networks and video sharing services, measuring and analyzing P2P IPTV traffic are important and fundamental works in the field of grid networks. This paper investigates the features of PPLive, the most popular streaming service in China and based on P2P technology. Through monitoring and analyzing PPLive traffic streams, the characteristics of P2P streaming services have been studied. The analyses are carried out in respect of bearing protocols, geographical distribution and the self-similarity properties of the traffic. A streaming service traffic model has been created and verified with the simulation. The simulation results indicate that the proposed streaming service traffic model complies well with the real IPTV streaming service. It can also function as a step towards studying video-sharing services on grids

GsAPK, an ABA-Activated and Calcium-Independent SnRK2-Type Kinase from G. soja, Mediates the Regulation of Plant Tolerance to Salinity and ABA Stress

Plant Snf1 (sucrose non-fermenting-1) related protein kinase (SnRK), a subfamily of serine/threonine kinases, has been implicated as a crucial upstream regulator of ABA and osmotic signaling as in many other signaling cascades. In this paper, we have isolated a novel plant specific ABA activated calcium independent protein kinase (GsAPK) from a highly salt tolerant plant, Glycine soja (50109), which is a member of the SnRK2 family. Subcellular localization studies using GFP fusion protein indicated that GsAPK is localized in the plasma membrane. We found that autophosphorylation and Myelin Basis Protein phosphorylation activity of GsAPK is only activated by ABA and the kinase activity also was observed when calcium was replaced by EGTA, suggesting its independence of calcium in enzyme activity. We also found that cold, salinity, drought, and ABA stress alter GsAPK gene transcripts and heterogonous overexpression of GsAPK in Arabidopsis alters plant tolerance to high salinity and ABA stress. In summary, we demonstrated that GsAPK is a Glycine soja ABA activated calcium independent SnRK-type kinase presumably involved in ABA mediated stress signal transduction

FeSiO4H2 stabilized at subducting slab conditions: A geologically viable water carrier into the Earth's lower mantle

Hydrous minerals hold the key to unlocking the enduring mystery of the water cycle deep inside the Earth. Tremendous efforts have been devoted to identifying geologically viable minerals meeting stringent pressure-temperature-density stability requirements for descent into deep Earth, and such pursuits remain active. Here, we identify two hydrous iron silicates, α- and β−FeSiO4H2, formed by a reaction of Earth-abundant FeSiO3 and H2O and stabilized at the pressure-temperature conditions in cold subducting slabs. These phases have a sufficiently high density for a stable descent into the Earth's lower mantle, and then decompose to release water after reaching equilibrium with the mantle geotherm. Moreover, Mg(Fe)SiO4H2 solutions are found to be more stable than the pure substances and can serve as effective carriers to transport substantial amounts of water to lower-mantle regions via the cold subduction zones. These findings establish a viable and robust material basis for the deep-Earth water cycle, with major implications for elucidation of many prominent geological processes

A Semi-supervised Graph Attentive Network for Financial Fraud Detection

With the rapid growth of financial services, fraud detection has been a very important problem to guarantee a healthy environment for both users and providers. Conventional solutions for fraud detection mainly use some rule-based methods or distract some features manually to perform prediction. However, in financial services, users have rich interactions and they themselves always show multifaceted information. These data form a large multiview network, which is not fully exploited by conventional methods. Additionally, among the network, only very few of the users are labelled, which also poses a great challenge for only utilizing labeled data to achieve a satisfied performance on fraud detection. To address the problem, we expand the labeled data through their social relations to get the unlabeled data and propose a semi-supervised attentive graph neural network, namedSemiGNN to utilize the multi-view labeled and unlabeled data for fraud detection. Moreover, we propose a hierarchical attention mechanism to better correlate different neighbors and different views. Simultaneously, the attention mechanism can make the model interpretable and tell what are the important factors for the fraud and why the users are predicted as fraud. Experimentally, we conduct the prediction task on the users of Alipay, one of the largest third-party online and offline cashless payment platform serving more than 4 hundreds of million users in China. By utilizing the social relations and the user attributes, our method can achieve a better accuracy compared with the state-of-the-art methods on two tasks. Moreover, the interpretable results also give interesting intuitions regarding the tasks.Comment: icd

High-pressure Phase Stability and Superconductivity of Pnictogen Hydrides and Chemical Trends for Compressed Hydrides

The recent breakthrough discovery of unprecedentedly high temperature superconductivity of 203 K in compressed sulfur hydrides has stimulated significant interest in finding new hydrogen-containing superconductors and elucidating the physical and chemical principles that govern these materials and their superconductivity. Here we report the prediction of high temperature superconductivity in the family of pnictogen hydrides using first principles calculations in combination with global optimization structure searching methods. The hitherto unknown high-pressure phase diagrams of binary hydrides formed by the pnictogens of phosphorus, arsenic and antimony are explored, stable structures are identified and their electronic, vibrational and superconducting properties are investigated. We predict that SbH_4 and AsH_8 are high-temperature superconductors at megabar pressures, with critical temperatures in excess of 100 K. The highly symmetrical hexagonal SbH_4 phase is predicted to be stabilized above about 150 GPa, which is readily achievable in diamond anvil cell experiments. We find that all phosphorus hydrides are metastable with respect to decomposition into the elements within the pressure range studied. Trends based on our results and data in the literature reveal a connection between the high-pressure behaviors and ambient-pressure chemical quantities which provides insight into understanding which elements may form hydrogen-rich high-temperature superconducting phases at high pressures. The authors thank Eva Zurek for sharing structure data for iodine hydride.
