Money Market Rates and Implied CCAPM Rates: Some International Evidence

New Neoclassical Synthesis models equate the instrument of monetary policy to the implied CCAPM rate arising from an Euler equation. This paper identifies monetary policy shocks within six of the G7 countries and examines the movement of money market and implied CCAPM rates. The key result is that an increase in the nominal interest rate leads to a fall in the implied CCAPM rate. Incorporating habit still yields the same result. The findings suggest that the movement of these two rates implied by the transmission mechanism of monetary policy in NNS models cannot be reconciled through the consumption Euler equation.Consumption Euler equation, Monetary Policy Shocks, Transmission Mechanism.

Voltage uprating of existing 275kV overhead transmission line tower for increasing the power transfer capability

This project presents a methodological approach, suggestions and information in uprating the existing 275kV transmission overhead line. The work also calculate and analyses the effect of conductor swing angle on L3 tower top geometrics and keep the probability of flashover at low state. In this project, the insulator length and clearances of swing conductor to tower body, top cross-arm, bottom cross-arm and conductor to conductor are considered. The purpose of this work is to determine the clearances necessary to insulator withstand for 400kV line. In addition, it is also important to make sure that conductors have to maintain the clearances under TOV (temporary over-voltage), switching and lightning overvoltages. The work in this project have used Excel and Smart Draw to analyze the results and plot the clearance distances of swing conductor, also the phase to phase rms voltage and redrawing the existing overhead tower. Therefore, voltages rating for the L3 tower can be determined through the available clearances. Firstly, the voltage rating is determined with standard 400kV specification of insulator length. Then, the insulator is being shorted to do the analysis to the voltage rating and lastly, the overall cross-arm is changed to fully insulate such as composite cross-arm. As the result, by using standard insulator length, the tower only carried 351kV rather than composite cross-arm that carry 450kV. The standard L3 tower will be increase the power transfer capacity to 400kV in term of voltage by changing the steel cross-arm to composite cross-arm

Research-Based Pocket Book as Fungi Learning Media

Fungi endophytic is microscopic so that the results of the documentation of the research can be documented in the form of a pocket. The book pocket is a media of learning that are practical and easy to carry anywhere. In this pocket-book, outlined that the fungi endophytic obtained on the organs of Ciplukan plants namely roots, stems and leaves. Fungi endophytic obtained four isolate suspected of having a substance compound antimicrobials against pathogenic bacteria. Test the feasibility of a pocket book to be used as a source of learning has been validated by experts learning media and material experts. Validation results show an average of 84.31% resulting in valid criteria. The validators statement based on validation states pocketbooks can be used as a source of learning

Entropy of continuous maps on quasi-metric spaces

The category of metric spaces is a subcategory of quasi-metric spaces. In this paper the notion of entropy for the continuous maps of a quasi-metric space is extended via spanning and separated sets. Moreover, two metric spaces that are associated to a given quasi-metric space are introduced and the entropy of a map of a given quasi-metric space and the maps of its associated metric spaces are compared. It is shown that the entropy of a map when symmetric properties is included is grater or equal to the entropy in the case that the symmetric property of the space is not considered

KONSEP EPISTEMOLOGI DALAM PEMIKIRAN IBNU RUSYD

This study aims to analyze the dimensions of epistemology or philosophy of knowledge in the thought of Ibnu Rusyd, who lived in 520H/1126 AD. There are two theories used to study Ibnu Rushd's epistemological thinking. First, the epistemological classification consisting of 4 forms, namely bayânî, burhâni, irfânî and tajrîbî. Second, Abd Jabbar's theory of plurality of text meanings. Each text contains the possibility of other meanings that are not the same as those explicitly stated. These meanings are always born and differ according to the different approaches and methods used. However, this does not mean that there is an exclusivity of understanding but that the text (al-Qur'an) provides a large space for various understandings according to the level of reasoning.Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dimensi epistemologi atau filsafat pengetahuan dalam pemikiran Ibnu Rusyd, yang hidup pada tahun 520H/1126 M. Ada dua teori yang digunakan untuk mengkaji pemikiran epistemologi Ibnu Rusyd. Pertama, klasifikasi epistemologi yang terdiri atas 4 bentuk, yaitu bayânî, burhâni, irfânî dan tajrîbî. Kedua, teori pluralitas makna teks dari Abd Jabbar. Setiap teks mengandung kemungkinan adanya makna lain yang tidak sama dengan yang tersurat secara eksplisit. Makna tersebut senantiasa lahir dan berbeda sesuai dengan perbedaan pendekatan dan metode yang digunakan. Meski demikian, hal itu bukan berarti terjadi eksklusivitas pemahaman melainkan benar-benar bahwa teks (al-Qur’an) memberikan ruang yang besar bagi adanya beragam pemahaman sesuai dengan tingkat penalaran
