Population Demography and Impact of Terrorism in State of Jammu & Kashmir
Population demography in the All-Time violence and terrorism suffered but naturally extremely beautiful most northern region of India, the state of Jammu and Kashmir, has always been of interest for researchers in the fields of geography, political science, and sociology. This paper studies the persistence of the effects of terrorist attacks on the population demographics in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. The results reveal that the terrorism had a negative and transitory impact on population growth. This is further captured that the incidents of deaths implied more adverse effects on population demography and made it even more uneven in the state
Growing Human Population and Sustainable Development
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. No Poverty, Zero hunger, Health & Wellness, Gender Equality, Clean Water, and many others have been kept on priority for development across world. But what plays a critical role in planning, execution, and success of these goals is “Resource Estimation & Planning” and that in turn is dominated by the ‘Human Population Trends’ of different regions on globe. Growing Human Population has been a challenge for all future-plans for sustainable development across globe and their success. The current paper highlights the close correlation between trends of growing human population and sustainable developmen
Barrett’s Esophagus: An update
Barrett’s esophagus is premalignant condition in which the stratified squamous epithelium is replaced by metaplastic intestinal epithelium. The cause is usually long-standing gastro-esophageal reflux. Infection with Helicobacter pylori is also believed to play a role in this. The most significant complication is development of dysplasia with an increase in relative risk for development of adenocarcinoma 40–120 times
Indian Traffic Signboard Recognition and Driver Alert System Using Machine Learning
Sign board recognition and driver alert system which has a number of important application areas that include advance driver assistance systems, road surveying and autonomous vehicles. This system uses image processing technique to isolate relevant data which is captured from the real time streaming video. The proposed method is broadly divided in five part data collection, data processing, data classification, training and testing. System uses variety of image processing techniques to enhance the image quality and to remove non-informational pixel, and detecting edges. Feature extracter are used to find the features of image. Machine learning algorithm Support Vector Machine(SVM) is used to classify the images based on their features. If features of sign that are captured from the video matches with the trained traffic signs then it will generate the voice signal to alert the driver. In India there are different traffic sign board and they are classified into three categories: Regulatory sign, Cautionary sign, informational sign. These Indian signs have four different shapes and eight different colors. The proposed system is trained for ten different types of sign . In each category more than a thousand sample images are used to train the network
Disruptive Technologies in Smart Farming: An Expanded View with Sentiment Analysis
Smart Farming (SF) is an emerging technology in the current agricultural landscape. The aim of Smart Farming is to provide tools for various agricultural and farming operations to improve yield by reducing cost, waste, and required manpower. SF is a data-driven approach that can mitigate losses that occur due to extreme weather conditions and calamities. The influx of data from various sensors, and the introduction of information communication technologies (ICTs) in the field of farming has accelerated the implementation of disruptive technologies (DTs) such as machine learning and big data. Application of these predictive and innovative tools in agriculture is crucial for handling unprecedented conditions such as climate change and the increasing global population. In this study, we review the recent advancements in the field of Smart Farming, which include novel use cases and projects around the globe. An overview of the challenges associated with the adoption of such technologies in their respective regions is also provided. A brief analysis of the general sentiment towards Smart Farming technologies is also performed by manually annotating YouTube comments and making use of the pattern library. Preliminary findings of our study indicate that, though there are several barriers to the implementation of SF tools, further research and innovation can alleviate such risks and ensure sustainability of the food supply. The exploratory sentiment analysis also suggests that most digital users are not well-informed about such technologies
Sugarcane trash ash: A low cost adsorbent for atrazine and fipronil removal from water
319-325The sugarcane trash ash (STA) has been explored as low cost adsorbent for atrazine and fipronil removal from water. Kinetics study suggested that the pseudo second order model best explain the adsorption of both pesticides. The STA show higher adsorption of fipronil (Kd - 1267.5-3321.1) than atrazine (Kd - 137.0-1445.3) while desorption followed reverse trend with 0-2.27 and 4.83-9.32% fipronil and atrazine desorption, respectively. Isotherm model optimization suggested that the Freundlich isotherm best predict the adsorption-desoprtion behaviour of pesticides. Adsorption is highly nonlinear as 1/n values were 0.23 and 0.407 for atrazine and fipronil respectively. Adsorption decreased with increase in initial concentration of pesticide in solution. The sugarcane trash, a waste, can be used as energy source in boilers and the ash obtained can be utilized as low-cost adsorbent for pesticide removal from contaminated water
Porous Pavement
Porous concrete is a special type of cementitious
material consisting of a slit-graded aggregate coveredwith a
thin layer of cement paste and held together by a layer of
cement paste which is partially touching. Porousconcrete is
concrete with an unbroken cavity that is deliberately
inserted into the concrete. Permit stones are madeof asphalt,
open pore foams or concrete, below which the rock deposits
are present. It allows grip of rainwater and surface runoff,
and store in storage and allow it to slowly penetrate into the
soil below or be removed by stream tile. Fully permeable
floors are installed in which all layers are permeable, and
floor makers use water to collect water and minimize the
adverse effects of storm water. The basic surface of both
sections is open-air information that allows storm water to
enter the sub-grade soil for storage. Due to the open-layer
nature of the surface layer and the base layer, storm water
enters the groundwater layers through layers of floor to
recharge andeliminates the need for floodwater
construction. When compared to conventional concrete,
Porous concrete was found to have high absorptivity and
was fabricated of cement, water, and coarse aggregates and
is known to havethe advantages for bringing down the
discharge and change the quality of water in ground for
better.
Other benefits of PC include improved road safety,
better off road noise, and less "heat island" effects. Low
durability, maintenance due to clogging, relative weakness
is some of the downsides of the porous concrete which
retards its probable use in the large scale projects. Its use
has been limited to parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, and
roads with low traffic.
Even when space is available, collecting and treating
large volumes of polluted runoff from impermeable urban
highways is usu ally prohibitively costly.
As a result, traditional storm water runoff
management in cities will be rendered obsolete.
Furthermore, if environmental restrictions become
more rigorous in the future, many municipalities in
metropolitan regions may be required or encouraged to
transition from impermeable paved surfaces to permeable
paved surfaces, resulting in a greener ur ban surface

A case of mucoid hypertrophic degeneration of anterior cruciate ligament with ganglion cyst causing extension block treated with arthroscopic debridement of the cyst and partial debulking surgery
Mucoid degeneration of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is an uncommon cause of knee pain and restriction of movements. It uncommonly presents with a coexisting ACL ganglion cyst. Typically present between ages of 40-60 years, however, the true incidence and symptoms are variable. We present our experience with one such case with loss of knee extension treated with arthroscopic debulking. The patient regained both full range of motion and resolution of symptoms after the treatment
