Coulomb collisional relaxation process of ion beams in magnetized plasmas
An orbit following code is developed to calculate ion beam trajectories in
magnetized plasmas. The equation of motion (the Newton's equation) is solved
including the Lorentz force term and Coulomb collisional relaxation term.
Furthermore, a new algorithm is introduced by applying perturbation method
regarding the collision term as a small term. The reduction of computation time
is suggested.Comment: Submitted on November 30, 200
Local Symmetries in the AdS_7/CFT_6 Correspondence
It is shown that local symmetry transformations of the maximal AdS
supergravity in seven-dimensional anti de Sitter space induce those of the
N=(2,0) conformal supergravity on the six-dimensional boundary at infinity.
Boundary values of the AdS supergravity fields form a supermultiplet of the
conformal supergravity.Comment: 13 pages, LaTe
N=6 conformal supergravity in three dimensions
N=6 conformal supergravity in three dimensions is studied in an off-shell
component field formulation. We obtain local symmetry transformation laws and a
Lagrangian of the conformal supergravity multiplet. We then couple it to the
ABJM theory and obtain local transformation laws and a Lagrangian of the
coupled theory.Comment: 20 page
PSU(2,2|4) transformations of IIB superstring in AdS_5 x S^5
The PSU(2,2|4) transformation laws of the IIB superstring theory in the AdS_5
x S^5 background are explicitly obtained for the light-cone gauge in the
Green-Schwarz formalism.Comment: LaTeX, 14 pages, a reference adde
Snowmelt Runoff Model in Japan
The preliminary Japanese snowmelt runoff model was modified so that all the input variables arc of the antecedent days and the inflow of the previous day is taken into account. A few LANDSAT images obtained in the past were effectively used to verify and modify the depletion curve induced from the snow water equivalent distribution at maximum stage and the accumulated degree days at one representative point selected in the basin. Together with the depletion curve, the relationship between the basin ide daily snowmelt amount and the air temperature at the point above are exhibited homograph form for the convenience of the model user. The runoff forecasting procedure is summarized
(2,0) Chern-Simons Supergravity Plus Matter Near the Boundary of AdS_3
We examine the boundary behaviour of the gauged N=(2,0) supergravity in D=3
coupled to an arbitrary number of scalar supermultiplets which parametrize a
Kahler manifold. In addition to the gravitational coupling constant, the model
depends on two parameters, namely the cosmological constant and the size of the
Kahler manifold. It is shown that regular and irregular boundary conditions can
be imposed on the matter fields depending on the size of the sigma model
manifold. It is also shown that the super AdS transformations in the bulk
produce the transformations of the N=(2,0) conformal supergravity and scalar
multiplets on the boundary, containing fields with nonvanishing Weyl weights
determined by the ratio of the sigma model and the gravitational coupling
constants. Various types of (2,0) superconformal multiplets are found on the
boundary and in one case the superconformal symmetry is shown to be realized in
an unconventional way.Comment: 28 pages, latex, references adde
