Internacionalización y gestión de calidad en la educación superior

La internacionalización ha alcanzado una gran importancia en la educación superior, impulsada tanto por la filosofía educativa como por los imperativos comerciales. En este trabajo, se analiza la internacionalización como una variable que afecta la gestión de la calidad en la educación superior y que garantiza la visibilidad de la misma. Igualmente, se analizan las políticas públicas y las intenciones institucionales particulares que se han enfocado en ella como una estrategia para el reconocimiento en sus funciones de calidad y pertinencia. A través de una revisión de la literatura, como metodología, se logra analizar y discernir la teoría relacionada con los enfoques y retos de la educación superior globalizada, cada vez más competitiva y comprometida con la garantía de calidad en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, así como necesitada de reconocimiento y posicionamiento internacional. Se destacan los reconocimientos, la cooperación y los rankings, como mediadores del proceso de internacionalización en la educación superior

Aporte del enfoque sistémico del modelo de gestión de la calidad NTC-ISO 9001 al modelo de acreditación institucional en instituciones privadas de educación superior

La educación ha sido el eje conductor de la consolidación de la sociedad, y las actuales dinámicas y tendencias del desarrollo exigen a las organizaciones e instituciones del mundo eficacia y competitividad, lo que a su vez plantea a la educación el reto de asumir procesos de formación de alta calidad, para favorecer el desarrollo de competencias básicas, personales y profesionales a quienes acceden al sistema educativo. Esta investigación propone un modelo para la acreditación de alta calidad de las instituciones privadas de educación superior que complemente, en doble vía, los elementos del sistema de acreditación institucional del Consejo Nacional de Acreditación de Colombia, con el enfoque sistémico del Sistema de Gestión de la Calidad de la NTC-ISO 9001. Para su desarrollo se utilizó la investigación evaluativa y el modelo CIPP como metodología, la cual implicó el uso de encuestas con preguntas abiertas en cuatro instituciones de educación superior del sector privado, que se encuentran acreditadas institucionalmente y que han adelantado procesos de implantación y certificación con ISO 9001. También participaron en la investigación el CNA, como institución que entrega el reconocimiento a la acreditación institucional, y el ICONTEC, como organismo normalizador y de certificación de Colombia. De esta manera se identificaron los beneficios y dificultades de la complementariedad de modelos

Measurement of work engagement and its relationship with communication, leadership and TIC's in a mexican editorial company

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the importance of Work Engagement (called from now on Work Commitment) and its relationship with communication, leadership and the information and communication technologies’ use, variables that influence the workers behavior. These variables require statistical analysis validated by the analysis of the Cronbach's alpha coefficient, subsequently the variables rank correlation concerning the commitment at work within a Spearman's rho correlation coefficient, finally the range identification and its checking general measurement. The mixed research method was used because of its characteristics, since the qualitative and quantitative approach helps to explain clearly the executed phenomenon. The results obtained shows that two of the variables analyzed have significant influence on the commitment at work, which gives a guideline to the Publishing Company to perform corrective actions looking to improve the workers commitment

Methodological proposal for the integration of the quality management system based on the NTC ISO 9001: 2008 and the processes of accreditation of high quality of the CNA

This article is the result of methodological reflection on the relationship that could be established between the quality assurance system, according to ISO 9001: 2008 and the high quality accreditation process for undergraduate higher education programs of the Consejo Nacional de Acreditación in Colombia. The bibliographic review carried out in ScienceDirect, ebrary, Emerald, EBSCO, Eric and Redalyc with a search range between 2002 and 2016 allowed the consolidation of 11 dimensions that integrate 5 variables that influence the measurement of university quality management

Correlation of requirements for management integration in Colombian public entities

In Colombia, public management requires a managerial transformation that facilitates the State to implement policies focused on improving the quality of life of citizens. The lack of techniques for management integration in public entities drives the research that leads to the design of a methodology for integration management. With a mixed approach and a sequential exploratory scope, the existing correlation between the requirements of the technical standards ISO 9001: 2015 (QMS), ISO 14001: 2015 (EMS) and the normative models Decree 1072 of 2015 (OHSMS), MECI: 2014 (Internal Control Standard Model) and MIPG: 2012 (Planning and Management Integrated Model), obtaining as a result the correlation matrix, product of the bibliographic review and the critical reading of the technical standards and the normative models of the State. From this correlation matrix, descriptive contents were developed, taken as a basis for the construction of perception surveys, applying statistical methods that support the degree of correlation of the requirements through Spearman´s correlation coefficient and the reliability of the data through Cronbach’s alpha, thus validating the content of the matrix, which is a guiding reference for the integration of management systems in public entities

La creciente importancia de la internacionalización en la educación superior ha propiciado que las Instituciones de Educación Superior establezcan prioridades y estrategias que les permitan alcanzar mayor presencia y visibilidad internacional en un mundo cada vez más globalizado, esto contrasta con los resultados de algunos estudios que confirman el mal estado de la gestión de las administraciones universitarias y la existencia de inconvenientes inherentes de la administración en la educación superior. Internacionalización y gestión de calidad en la educación superior

Internationalization has assumed a major role in higher education, driven both by the educational philosophy as by commercial imperatives. In this research, internationalization is analyzed as a variable that affects the quality management in higher education and ensuring the visibility of it, public policy and private institutional intentions that have focused on it as a strategy for recognition in its functions of quality and relevance. Through a review of the literature, as a methodology, it is possible to analyze and discern the theory related to approaches and challenges of the globalized higher education, increasingly competitive and committed to quality assurance in the process of teaching and learning, and it needed international recognition and positioning. Aporte del enfoque sistémico del modelo de gestión de la calidad NTC-ISO 9001 al modelo de acreditación institucional en instituciones privadas de educación superior

Education has been the driving consolidation force of society, and the current dynamics and trends of development call for organizations’ and institutions' worldwide efficiency and competitiveness, which in turn raises the challenge for education to offer processes of high quality to encourage the development of basic skills, personal and professional, to those entering the education system. This research proposes a model for high quality accreditation of private higher education institutions to supplement in a two-way relation, the elements of the institutional accreditation of the National Council for Accreditation of Colombia with the systemic approach of the System of Quality Management NTC-ISO 9001. For its development, evaluation research was used and so was the CIPP model as a methodology, which involved the use of surveys with open questions in four institutions of higher education in the private sector. These are accredited institutions who have advanced implementation processes and ISO certification 9001. Also participating in the research is the ANC, an institution that provides recognition of institutional accreditation, and ICONTEC, organism responsible of certification and standards in Colombia.
