    Impact of Problem-Based Learning on Student Achievement in Economics Course

    The purpose of this study investigated and understand impact of Problem-Based Learning on students’ achievement in the economic course through lesson study. This kind a classroom action research in the subject of money and bank in order to participate in solving problems related materials. The Subject of this study is Grade 9 student in academic year 2016/2017. The implementation classroom action research conducted in two cycles comprising Planning, Implementation, observing, and reflection stages. The result of this study that Problem-Based Learning through lessons has been well implemented including the completeness of the learning tools and preparing the Lesson Plans before teaching on each teaching material. Based on the results of the implementation of lesson study using Problem-Based Learning model can be concluded that Problem-Based Learning through on the learning can improve student achievement.Keywords: Problem-Based Learning, Student Achievement, Classroom Research DOI: 10.17977/um013v1i12017p00

    PERBEDAAN JENIS PEKERJAAN IBU DENGAN KUANTITAS PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF ( Studi Kasus di Kecamatan Semarang Utara )

    Latar Belakang: Air susu ibu bermanfaat bagi kesehatan bayi karena mengandung gizi tinggi serta dapat melindungi bayi dari penyakit infeksi. Data Dinas Kesehatan Kota Semarang menyatakan cakupan pemberian ASI eksklusif tahun 2014 adalah 64,7% , hal ini belum mencapai target nasional yaitu 80 %. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan jenis pekerjaan ibu dengan kuantitas pemberian ASI eksklusif. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah studi cross sectional yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling dan didapatkan 40 orang, yaitu ibu yang bekerja sebagai buruh pabrik dan PNS yang memiliki balita di Kecamatan Semarang Utara yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan metode wawancara dengan intrumen berupa kuesioner. Hasil: Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis univariat dan analisis bivariat ( uji chi square dan uji Fisher). Penelitian ini menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan ibu yang bekerja sebagai buruh pabrik dan PNS dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif ( p=0,197 ), frekuensi pemberian ASI dalam sehari (p=0,327) dan lamanya pemberia ASI (p=0,322) . Hal yang menjadi faktor lain yaitu pendidikan,pengetahuan,perilaku, dukungan suami, pendapatan juga tidak terdapat perbedaan dengan kuantitas pemberian ASI eksklusif. Simpulan: Jenis pekerjaan ibu antara buruh pabrik dan PNS tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dengan kuantitas pemberian ASI eksklusif
