A Synergetic Pattern Matching Method Based-on DHT Structure for Intrusion Detection in Large-scale Network
AbstractResearch in network security, with the attacks becoming more frequent, increasing complexity means, for the large-scale network intrusion detection, this paper presents a warning by analyzing the behavior of the log, the contents of the relevant association, through the DHT(Distributed Hash Table) distributed architecture, the Collabarative matching, fusion, and ultimately determine the method of attack paths. First, by improving the classical Apriori algorithm, greatly improving the efficiency of the association. At the same time, through the behavior pattern matching algorithms to extract information about the behavior of the alert and the behavior sequence elements to match the template, and through the right path to finally determine the value of the threat of the network path. After the design of a DHT network, the distributed collaborative match the path used to find complex network attacks. Finally, the overall algorithm flow, proposed a complete threat detection system architecture
Is I-Voting I-Llegal?
The Voting Rights Act was passed to prevent racial discrimination in all voting booths. Does the existence of a racial digital divide make Internet elections for public office merely a computer geek\u27s pipe dream? Or can i-voting withstand scrutiny under the current state of the law? This i-Brief will consider the current state of the law, and whether disproportionate benefits will be enough to stop this extension of technology dead in its tracks
Bio-inspired functional surface fabricated by electrically assisted micro-embossing of AZ31 magnesium alloy
Developing bio-inspired functional surfaces on engineering metals is of extreme importance,
involving different industrial sectors, like automotive or aeronautics. In particular, micro-embossing
is one of the efficient and large-scale processes for manufacturing bio-inspired textures on metallic
surfaces. However, this process faces some problems, such as filling defects and die breakage due tocsize effect, which restrict this technology for some components. Electrically assisted micro-forming has demonstrated the ability of reducing size effects, improving formability and decreasing flow stress, making it a promising hybrid process to control the filling quality of micro-scale features. This research focuses on the use of different current densities to perform embossed micro-channels of 7 um and sharklet patterns of 10 um in textured bulk metallic glass dies. These dies are prepared by thermoplastic forming based on the compression of photolithographic silicon molds. The results show that large areas of bio-inspired textures could be fabricated on magnesium alloy when current densities higher than 6 A/mm2 (threshold) are used. The optimal surface quality scenario is obtained for a current density of 13 A/mm2. Additionally, filling depth and depth–width ratio nonlinearly increases when higher current densities are used, where the temperature is a key parameter to control, keeping it below the temperature of the glass transition to avoid melting or an early breakage of the die.Peer ReviewedPostprint (published version
A Crowdsourcing Mode of Tourism Customization Based on Sharing Economy
China’s latest innovations of Internet Economy are partly reflected in video living broadcast, shared bicycles etc. In recent years, tourism industry in China obtains rapid development by utilizing Internet. However, it is still difficult to meet the growing tourist demands. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, we put forward a Tourism Crowdsourcing Model (TCM), which utilizes the public creativity to meet the increasing demands for personalized tourism. Firstly, the main problems of the tourism industry are analyzed. Secondly, the pattern of TCM is elaborated, and a matching algorithm between the tourist requirements and the workers’ abilities is well designed to find the qualified service providers efficiently and accurately. Finally, an example is given to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the TCM based on shared economy. The results shows that TCM has some significant advantages to satisfy the tourism personalized needs by motivating the public to participate in the tourism industry initiatively
Collaborative Authentication for 6G Networks: An Edge Intelligence based Autonomous Approach
The conventional device authentication of wireless networks usually relies on
a security server and centralized process, leading to long latency and risk of
single-point of failure. While these challenges might be mitigated by
collaborative authentication schemes, their performance remains limited by the
rigidity of data collection and aggregated result. They also tend to ignore
attacker localization in the collaborative authentication process. To overcome
these challenges, a novel collaborative authentication scheme is proposed,
where multiple edge devices act as cooperative peers to assist the service
provider in distributively authenticating its users by estimating their
received signal strength indicator (RSSI) and mobility trajectory (TRA). More
explicitly, a distributed learning-based collaborative authentication algorithm
is conceived, where the cooperative peers update their authentication models
locally, thus the network congestion and response time remain low. Moreover, a
situation-aware secure group update algorithm is proposed for autonomously
refreshing the set of cooperative peers in the dynamic environment. We also
develop an algorithm for localizing a malicious user by the cooperative peers
once it is identified. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed
scheme is eminently suitable for both indoor and outdoor communication
scenarios, and outperforms some existing benchmark schemes
SD-MVS: Segmentation-Driven Deformation Multi-View Stereo with Spherical Refinement and EM optimization
In this paper, we introduce Segmentation-Driven Deformation Multi-View Stereo
(SD-MVS), a method that can effectively tackle challenges in 3D reconstruction
of textureless areas. We are the first to adopt the Segment Anything Model
(SAM) to distinguish semantic instances in scenes and further leverage these
constraints for pixelwise patch deformation on both matching cost and
propagation. Concurrently, we propose a unique refinement strategy that
combines spherical coordinates and gradient descent on normals and pixelwise
search interval on depths, significantly improving the completeness of
reconstructed 3D model. Furthermore, we adopt the Expectation-Maximization (EM)
algorithm to alternately optimize the aggregate matching cost and
hyperparameters, effectively mitigating the problem of parameters being
excessively dependent on empirical tuning. Evaluations on the ETH3D
high-resolution multi-view stereo benchmark and the Tanks and Temples dataset
demonstrate that our method can achieve state-of-the-art results with less time
consumption.Comment: 10 pages, 9 figures, published to AAAI202
Melatonin enhances the anti-tumor effect of fisetin by inhibiting COX-2/iNOS and NF-κB/p300 signaling pathways.
Melatonin is a hormone identified in plants and pineal glands of mammals and possesses diverse physiological functions. Fisetin is a bio-flavonoid widely found in plants and exerts antitumor activity in several types of human cancers. However, the combinational effect of melatonin and fisetin on antitumor activity, especially in melanoma treatment, remains unclear. Here, we tested the hypothesis that melatonin could enhance the antitumor activity of fisetin in melanoma cells and identified the underlying molecular mechanisms. The combinational treatment of melanoma cells with fisetin and melatonin significantly enhanced the inhibitions of cell viability, cell migration and clone formation, and the induction of apoptosis when compared with the treatment of fisetin alone. Moreover, such enhancement of antitumor effect by melatonin was found to be mediated through the modulation of the multiply signaling pathways in melanoma cells. The combinational treatment of fisetin with melatonin increased the cleavage of PARP proteins, triggered more release of cytochrome-c from the mitochondrial inter-membrane, enhanced the inhibition of COX-2 and iNOS expression, repressed the nuclear localization of p300 and NF-κB proteins, and abrogated the binding of NF-κB on COX-2 promoter. Thus, these results demonstrated that melatonin potentiated the anti-tumor effect of fisetin in melanoma cells by activating cytochrome-c-dependent apoptotic pathway and inhibiting COX-2/iNOS and NF-κB/p300 signaling pathways, and our study suggests the potential of such a combinational treatment of natural products in melanoma therapy
