Next, seven proposed action plans are suggested to cover the issues. Lastly, the structure of Selangor Muamalat is analyses by focusing on the management structure, financial and operational framework and the Shariah consideration towards Selangor Muamalat structure

    SOLAR COOLING SYSTEM IN CAR

    Get PDF
The purpose of this project is to design cooling system by implementing thermoelectric cooler (Peltier) to be applied in a car. This report consists of 3 major chapters which are Introduction, Literature review and Methodology. In average, people park their car at open parking space which exposed directly to sun. This situation will yield an uncomfortable situation and damage certain device in a car. Also, the readily available air conditioning system nowadays uses fuel which is frequently exposed to price hike. These lead to high maintenance cost of the car itself. These problems can be solved by developing a reliable Cooling System. As Malaysia adapts a sunny climate, it is very convenient to utilize Solar Power for Cooling System in Car. The main objective of the project is to design a system which implements a thermoelectric cooler, and eventually to construct prototype of Cooling System in a car. In order to accomplish that, many stodies on Solar Cell, Thermal Cooling System, Thermoelectric Cooler and Battery Storage is done. To ensure the smoothness of this project. Methods, tools and software that are going to be used are determined in Methodology. Due to time constrain, the project will be implemented by stages where by stage I( first semester) is Literature review , research , data gathering and calculations and stage 2 ( second semester) is Design ,testing , prototype , installation and analysis

Performance Evaluation of Mobile U-Navigation based on GPS/WLAN Hybridization

This paper present our mobile u-navigation system. This approach utilizes hybridization of wireless local area network and Global Positioning System internal sensor which to receive signal strength from access point and the same time retrieve Global Navigation System Satellite signal. This positioning information will be switched based on type of environment in order to ensure the ubiquity of positioning system. Finally we present our results to illustrate the performance of the localization system for an indoor/ outdoor environment set-up.Comment: Journal of Convergence Information Technology(JCIT

Effect of perforations on cold-formed steel built-up i-section

    Get PDF
Cold-formed steel comes with various type of section based on their function and purpose in construction work. There are three main types of sections which are single open section, open built-up section and closed built-up section. This research will be concentrating on open built-up section or I-section. Structural members of cold-formed steel usually come with the presence of perforations. Perforations are a hole or opening that are made on the cold-formed steel to ease construction work. It usually provided with different shapes and size based on its function such as to accommodate electrical, plumbing and air conditioner or heating services. However, the presence of perforations may cause a reduction in strength of individual component elements and the overall strength of the member depending on the position, size and orientation of the opening. This research will focus on the effect of position and shape of the perforations on the structural strength of the axially loaded cold-formed steel column. An experimental investigation of cold-formed steel subjected to compression loading to study the effect of perforations on the load capacity of column members of built-up I-section is held. A total of 6 samples that have different position of perforations were tested in this experiment. Each member has nominal thickness of 1.2 mm, column length of 600 mm and was compressed between a simply supported ends at both end. The result of this experiment shows that the ultimate load of each sample varies greatly on the perforation position. The result is presented in three sections which are load vs vertical displacement, load vs horizontal displacement and buckling behavior

Technical and economic effectiveness of weeding spraying method in oil palm plantation / Wan Mohamad Firdaus Wan Khalid

Now days, weeding is a common problem at oil palm plantation and giving crisis to the production of oil palm when not controlled. Usually, the common weeding spraying method will be divide into two methods such as circle spraying and selective spraying. In this study, the comparison of the technical efficiency and economic spraying method in oil palm plantation will be done to find the best process from two different companies. This study was conducted in Felcra Berhad Kawasan Sg Sepuluh and Kulim (M) Berhad Ladang Rengam at Kluang Johor. The data collection method for this study was by using secondary data type and interview consist of costing operation, map of field, type of herbicide used and no of workers data. The data will be analyses by using descriptive analysis, t-test and partial budget by using the software SPSS and Microsoft Excel. In the end of study, the results shows the cost implication and different spraying method from two different companies. From the result, it was shown all the plantation companies need to choose the best spraying method based on their capacity to increase the profit of the organization

The influence of work related factors on work life balance among employee at Perbadanan Putrajaya

In this recent years, work life ba1ance issues and employee's satisfaction have become a prominent concern in the society and emphasis on work-life balance has emerged due to the change in demographic requirement of workforce. The main objective of this study is to examine the relationship between work related factors towards the work life balance at Perbadanan Putrajaya. Data was collected from 204 of respondents with several of departments in this organisation. The findings indicated that work life balance have been implemented well in this organisation. The work related factors such as work overload, role of conflict showed significant support for employee's work life balance while role of ambiguity and work to family conflict showed and inverse relationship with the employee ' s work life balance. This study has contributed theoretically and methodologically. especially in identifying the relationship between work domains towards work life balance that have a greater impact on employee's satisfaction. This research could be used as a guide for an organisations to develop and implement work life balance in their organisations

Influence Of Mechanical Process On The Stress Corrosion Cracking Of 316L Stainless Steel For Implant Application

316L stainless steel (SS) is very synonym as a metal implant in medical application. This 316L grade is widely used at various implant divisions and makes it beneficial to the medical treatment of several injuries and diseases. However, their usage is slightly limited by the corrosion problems during implantation in the body. In this study, experiments are aimed to evaluate the stress corrosion cracking (SCC) of 316L SS in the simulated body environment. The 2.0 mm thick of 316L SS test specimens was undergone two steps mechanical processes; rolling and bending. The specimens were cold-rolled to 10%, 30% and 50% reduction in thickness and bent up to the U-bend shape using special bending equipment. The processing properties like plastic strain and springback after both processes were measured. The mechanical properties and structural modifications of cold worked specimens were assessed using tensile, hardness, bending and metallurgical tests. The corrosion tests were done in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solution at temperature and pH of 37 oC and 7.4. The XRD and EDS methods were used to identify the corrosion products. Whereas, the morphology of SCC failed specimens was observed under microscopic method. From the results, the occurence of SCC has been evaluated as follows. The 316L SS was strain hardened after two steps mechanical processes. The strain hardening effect was clearly seen from the resulted processing properties and structural modification. It was indicated by a higher plastic strain and springback. The structural modification from coarse to dislocated and dense grain structures also makes the steel harder and stronger. Then, the bending process produced transversal cracks in the outer U-bend surface. The crack, which formed at the existing grain boundaries, was identified as the initial stage of SCC. Consequently, the chloride ions penetrate the crack during the corrosion process and facilitate the crack growth. The crack was propagated along with the previous rolled marks, under transgranular mode. In this work, SCC was clearly found on the U-bend 316L SS with 10% reduction in thickness. However, the steel with higher thickness reduction produced a greater strain hardening which then prevented the occurrence of transversal cracks. From the finding, this work shows the mechanical process greatly influenced the SCC rather than the corrosion process. The steel must be strain hardened by two steps mechanical processes to initiate the SCC failure
