    Abstrak: Pembelajaran dengan metode diskusi kelompok belum membantu siswa untuk memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan rasa ingin tahu sehingga kemampuan mengontrol pengetahuan kognitifnya kurang maksimal. Oleh karena itu, peneliti menghadirkan model pembelajaran RTE. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menggambarkan pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) dalam pembelajaran biologi terhadap kemampuan metakognitif siswa SMA Negeri 13 Bone, (2) membuktikan pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) dalam pembelajaran biologi terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri 13 Bone.  Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Pre-Experimental Design. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar angket MAI, Tes hasil belajar dan dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI MIPA 4 berjumlah 34 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis statatistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Adapun hasil penelitian yaitu: (1) Rata-rata keseluruhan indikator kemampuan metakognitif siswa berada pada kategori baik dengan skor 78,42, (2) Nilai rata-rata pre-test siswa sebesar 49 sedangkan nilai rata-rata post-test siswa sebesar 85 dengan hasil uji t didapatkan signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga ada pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan model pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa.Abstract:  Learning using group discussion method hasn’t helped students have problem solving abilities and curiosity so their ability to control cognitive knowledge is less than optimal. Therefore, researchers present the RTE learning model. This study aims to: (1) describe effect of applying Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) cooperative learning model in biology learning on the metacognitive abilities students of SMA Negeri 13 Bone, (2) prove the effect of applying Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) cooperative learning model in learning biology on student learning outcomes SMA Negeri 13 Bone. The research used quantitative research with the type research Pre-Experimental Design. The research instrument used a questionnaire sheet MAI, learning achievement tests and documentation. The research sample class XI MIPA 4 of 34 students. Sampling was using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques. The research results is: (1) The overall average students' metacognitive ability indicators was in the good category with a score 78.42, (2) The average score students' pre-test was 49 while the average value of students' post-test 85 with the results t test obtained a significance of 0.000 <0.05 so that there’s a significant influence application of the learning model on student learning outcomes

    Students' thinking style is influential in learning outcomes, but teachers have not yet focused on the teaching and learning process, resulting in students having difficulties in receiving the material, especially in the study of analyzing physical concepts through graphs on the concept of kinematics. Therefore, knowing the student's thinking style especially for the physics teacher is a very important effort to achieve teaching success. This study aims to determine the students' thinking style in analyzing physical concepts through graphs on kinematics concepts. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a type of descriptive research. Subjects in this study were students of class X Mipa1 and X Mipa2. Data collection instruments in this study were questionnaire, observation and documentation. The questionnaire used was in the form of a closed questionnaire adapted from the Quantum Learning book written by Bobbi DePorter and Mike Hernacki,&nbsp; The results of this study indicated that the concrete sequential thinking style (S1) was 27 %, abstract sequential thinking style (S2) was 14%, random abstract (A1) was 34%, concrete random thinking style (A2) was 25%

    Exploring English Majors’ Experience in Taking IELTS Speaking Practices: A Qualitative Study

    This study sought to explore the experience of students majoring in an English Department in taking the IELTS speaking practices, and whether or not they had challenges during the learning process. A qualitative approach was employed, and for collecting data a WhatsApp voice note application was utilized. Three students studying at a university in Gorontalo, Indonesia, agreed to participate voluntarily. The findings revealed that the students experienced different challenges during the IELTS speaking practices, which were grouped into five themes: (1) students prepared themselves in different ways, (2) students viewed IELTS differently, (3) students encountered some problems during the IELTS speaking practices, (4) students had issues in adjusting their answers to the test duration, and (5) students agreed that the IELTS test is important for their future. It was also found that the students still had challenges in practicing the IELTS speaking tests. For instance, they felt nervous, lacked English academic vocabulary, and even worried about using correct English grammar. The study recommends that students need to do more readings and spend a sufficient amount of time practicing with peers, so they could expand their knowledge and structure their responses well. In addition, lecturers can help students by giving authentic IELTS materials and visualizing the example of IELTS speaking tests in the classrooms

    Identifikasi Keanekaragaman Bivalvia Hasil Tangkapan Nelayan di Desa Pematang Cengal, Tanjung Pura, Sumatera Utara

    Desa Pematang Cengal mempunyai sebagian besar wilayah pesisir dengan keanekaragaman bivalvia yang dimanfaatkan sebagai makanan. Akan tetapi belum ada catatan tentang keanekaragaman bivalvia di Desa Pematang Cengal. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Mei-Juni 2023 yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis keanekaragaman bivalvia dari hasil tangkapan nelayan di Desa Pematang Cengal, Tanjung Pura, Sumatera Utara. Metode pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara observasi dan survei langsung pada 3 stasiun berbeda, yaitu stasiun I Alur Kapal, stasiun II Pangkalan Garip, dan stasiun III Paluh Nipah. Data juga diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan nelayan terkait spesies bivalvia yang ditemukan serta alat tangkap yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 10 spesies bivalvia dari 5 famili yang ditemuka pada ketiga stasiun. Spesies yang ditemukan yaitu, Atrina pectinata, Anadara antiquata, Meretrix meretrix, Modiolus modulaides, Perna viridis, Anadara granosa, Barbatia foliate, Tellina timotensis, Pinctada albina, dan Pitar tumens. Spesies yang dominan adalah Meretrix meretrix dari famili Veneridae. Indeks keanekaragaman (H') di tiga stasiun tersebut berkisar antara 0-1.19. Indeks keanekaragaman tertinggi terdapat pada stasiun I sebesar 1.19, kedua terdapat pada stasiun III sebesar 0,97, dan indeks keanekaragaman terendah terdapat pada stasiun II sebesar 0

    Abstract :Online Learning is a learning activity carried out from home which is one of the policies of the government to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus that is currently happening in Indonesia. However, online learning is inseparable from the problems that hinder its implementation so that researchers conduct research on online learning problems using qualitative methods. The implementation of Online learning for students at MA NW Penendem is not optimal due to several factors, namely lack of facilities, the role of parents, teachers and schools that are not optimal and low student motivation in implementing online learning.
