Nuclear component of primary cosmic rays aboard Proton II satellite studied with aid of Cherenkov spectromete

On the retention of high-energy protons and nuclei with charges Z or equal to 2 in large solar flares after the process of their acceleration

Data which suggest that the protons with energies of up to several GeV should be retained on the Sun after the process of their acceleration are presented. The protons are on the average retained for 15 min, irrespectively of the solar flare heliolatitude and of the accelerated particle energy ranging from 100 MeV to several GeV. It is suggested that the particles are retained in a magnetic trap formed in a solar active region. No Z or = 2 nuclei of solar origin during large solar flares. The absence of the 500 MeV/nucleon nuclei with Z or = 2 may be due to their retention in the magnetic trap which also retains the high-energy protons. During the trapping time the approx. 500 MeV/nucleon nuclei with Z or = 2 may escape due to nuclear interactions and ionization loss

A man at the age of 78 years was brought to a reception room with symptoms of paraphimosis, which lasted 1 hour and needed urgent circumscissia. Concomitant pathology was presented by chronic ischemic heart disease, post-infarction (04.09.2009) cardiosclerosis, chronic heart failure (CHF) II B, FC II and established 6 years ago by cardioverter defibrillator (due to the presence of episodes of paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia with low rates AT) Data from anamnesis, heart rate 64 beats/min, AT 100/60 mmHg, permanent reception by Rivoroxiban patient at a dose of 20 mg/day per os and the need for emergency assistance determined the blockade of the dorsal nerve of the penis as a method of choice for this patient.Мужчина в возрасте 78 лет был доставлен в приемную с симптомами парафимоза, который длился 1 ч и нуждался в срочной обскуссии. Сопутствующая патология была представлена хронической ишемической болезнью сердца, постинфарктом (04.09.2009), кардиосклерозом, хронической сердечной недостаточностью II Б, ФК II и установленным 6 лет назад кардиовертерным дефибриллятором (из-за наличия эпизодов пароксизмальной желудочковой тахикардии с низкими показателями AД). Данные анамнеза, частота сердечных сокращений 64 уд./мин, AД 100/60 мм рт. ст., постоянный прием пациентом Ривороксибана в дозе 20 мг/сут и потребность в экстренной помощи определяли блокаду спинного нерва пениса как метода выбора для этого пациента

Early Precambrian Eclogites of the Belomorian Province, Fennoscandian Shield

Early Precambrian eclogites are widespread in the Belomorian Province of the Fennoscandian shield. There are three points of view on the their age: 1) Archean and Paleoproterozoic; 2) solely Mesoarchean; 3) solely Paleoproterozoic. The goal of this field trip is to show all these types of eclogites including Archean and Paleoproterozoic (from the authors' point of view) eclogites, eclogitized Paleoproterozoic coronitic gabbroids, Archean zoisitites and their structural position in the Gridino, Salma (Uzkaya Salma and Shirokaya Salma) and Kuru-Vaara areas of the Belomorian Province. The geological excursions provide a good opportunity for the participants and the reader to exanimate these contradicting points of view immediately at beautiful outcrops on islands of the White Sea, on the benches of the Kuru-Vaara quarry and in the walls of road pits in the Salma area. This Field Guidebook is of interest for geologists, petrologists and geochronologists who study the early evolution of the Earth and HP-UHP metamorphic processes

Сравнение инструментальных методов исследования гемостаза

It is known that thrombosis of deep veins of the lower extremities and pulmonary embolism of the pulmonary artery occupy an important place in the structure of the surgical incidence and mortality, and these complications are characteristic for patients of different profiles. Taking into account all the above, it is actual introduction of new diagnostic methods into the clinical practice that would be effective, credible and allow for real-time research. Goal. Comparison of methods of instrumental study of coagulating properties of blood, and evaluation of the possibilities of the method of low-frequency piezoelectric and thromboelastography in clinical practice. Method. The use of various methods of instrumental study of coagulating properties of blood during the study of the functional state of the hemostasis system in a group of 60 healthy volunteers, as well as 74 patients with postthrombofibrotic syndrome. Correlation analysis of agroindustrial complex APP-01M “Mednord” with these reproducible TEG® 5000 apparatus. To assess the reproducibility of the technique, a series of measurements of hemostasis parameters in each healthy volunteer was performed. Conclusion. APK APP-01M “Mednord” is a compact, convenient and safe coagulogical analyzer that meets all medical equipment requirements. Due to these qualities, it can be successfully used not only in the conditions of clinical laboratories, but also at the bed of the patient, in the operating room, under conditions of the ambulance.Известно, что тромбоз глубоких вен нижних конечностей и тромбоэмболия легочной артерии занимают важное место в структуре послеоперационной заболеваемости и смертности, причем эти осложнения характерны для больных разных профилей. Учитывая вышесказанное, актуальным считаем внедрение в клиническую практику новых методов диагностики, которые были бы эффективны, достоверны и позволяли проводить исследования в режиме реального времени. Цель. Сравнение методов инструментального исследования свертывающих свойств крови и оценка возможностей метода низкочастотной пьезоэлектрической тромбоэластографии в клинической практике. Материалы и методы. Использовали различныее методы инструментального исследования свертывающих свойств крови при изучении функционального состояния системы гемостаза в группе 60 здоровых добровольцев, а также 74 больных посттромбофлебитическим синдромом. Корреляционный анализ показателей АПК АРП-01М «Меднорд» проводили с данными, воспроизводимыми аппаратом TEG® 5000. Для оценки воспроизводимости методики выполнялась серия измерений параметров гемостаза у здоровых добровольцев. Вывод. АПК АРП-01М «Меднорд» является компактным, удобным и безопасным в работе коагулологическим анализатором, отвечающим всем требованиям медицинского оборудования. Благодаря этим качествам, он может быть успешно использован не только в условиях клинических лабораторий, но и у постели больного, в операционной, в условиях машины «скорой помощи»
