Statistical models for right-turn related crashes at high crash locations in the Las Vegas Valley
The research objective was to develop a statistical model that related right-turn related crashes (RTRC) to volumetric factors at High Crash Locations (HCL) in the Las Vegas Valley. Information from selected HCL was analyzed with simple bivariate regression analysis and multiple regression analysis; Response variables included the number of RTRC, the ratio of RTRC/Million Entering Vehicles (MEV), and the ratio of RTRC/Total Intersection Crashes. Predictor variables included Right-Turn Volume, Right-Turn-On-Red Volume, Red Time/Cycle Time Percentage, Cross Product (per 1000 Vehicles) of Right-Turn Volumes and Opposing Through Volumes [Cross Product], Frequency of Gaps greater than 6.5 seconds [Gaps \u3e 6.5 s], and the Frequency of Gaps less than 6.5 seconds [Gaps \u3c 6.5 s]; Regression models of the relationships between these particular responses and predictor variables were found to explain up to 15% of the given data
Effects of temperature on behavior, growth, development and survival of young milkfish, Chanos chanos Forsskal
The effects of 3 temperature treatments on activity, feeding, growth, development and survival of young milkfish (Chanos chanos) were investigated under laboratory conditions. It is believed that the results may be applied to develop a land-based mass production technology in rearing milkfish fry to fingerlings

Activity Preferences of Generation Z Students for Tertiary Physical Education: Implications for Curriculum Enhancement
[EN] This research aimed to look into Generation Z Students' preferred activities to enhance the curriculum content of Tertiary Physical Education in one of the leading Universities in the Philippines using the phenomenological research design due to the fact that a great number of students in Physical Education have dropped out. A total of 110 research participants were involved in focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, and extensive field observation. Results from focus group discussions, interviews, and extensive observations resulted to five concerns: less lectures, practical activities needed, minimal competition programs, and group activities. Findings from this study served as basis for a contextualized Physical Education program for Generation Z students in Southern Philippines.Philippine Commission on Higher EducationTagare, RJL.; Villaluz, GDC. Breeding and larval rearing of the milkfish Chanos chanos (Pisces: Chanidae)
Contribution No. 11 of the Aquaculture Department, Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center, P.O. Box 256, Iloilo City 5901, Philippines. Two sexually maturing female milkfish were captured in April 1977 and induced to spawn by means of acetone-dried Pacific salmon pituitary powder. The eggs were fertilized and incubated and the resultant young reared to 74-day old, 11 cm long fingerlings. Newly fertilized eggs averaged 1.16 mm in diameter and each had a narrow perivitelline space containing several cortical granules which disappeared within a few minutes. The yolk was slightly yellowish, devoid of oil globules and very finely granulated. Embryonic development was very similar to that of other pelagic fish eggs and hatching occurred between 35 to 36 hr at a salinity of 32 ppt and a temperature range of 28.4-29.2°C.This study was partially supported through a grant to the SEAFDEC Aquaculture Department by the International Development Research Centre of Canada, under Project No. 3-P-74-0146
Building an Organizational Culture That Supports Philanthropy in Indian Country: A Funder’s Story
This article examines one philanthropic organization’s project to overcome challenges around its work in Indian Country and to build support for that work among its leadership.
ClearWay Minnesota, an independent nonprofit working to reduce commercial tobacco’s harm, embarked on a project to educate its board and staff about American Indian history and culture. The project resulted in an increase in staff expertise, valuable context for the organization’s leadership, relationships built with Native individuals and organizations, and the integration of American Indian concepts into more aspects of ClearWay’s work. The organization’s board and staff report improved ability to achieve success in philanthropic efforts among this population.
The need for philanthropy in Indian Country is great, and this project’s findings have relevance for all funding organizations seeking to conduct work among Native communities

Personality Type, Organizational Commitment and Collaborative Alliance among University of Perpetual Help System Laguna (UPHSL) Academic Personnel
Higher education moved from elite system to mass system and accommodated different forms of partnership and collaboration which is now viewed as amechanism for enhancing service delivery in education. The academic personnel ofUPHSL are encouraged to participate in various support services essential inensuring delivery of quality education. It is imperative that collaboration amongemployees is evident. The objective of this study was to identify how thepersonality type of 43 UPHSL academic personnel relate to their level oforganizational commitment and how organizational commitment relate to theircollaborative alliance. This descriptive-correlation research used conveniencesampling. Findings showed that the more the respondents manifest traits such asabasement, achievement, deference, and respect for others, the higher is their levelof organizational commitment; the more the respondents manifest traits such asabasement, achievement, deference, modesty, optimism, respect for others, thegreater is their extent of collaborative alliance especially in terms of giving qualityservice to satisfy their stakeholders; and that the higher the level of the academicpersonnel’s organizational commitment is, the greater is their involvement ininstitutional marketing and promotion, community outreach program involvementand customer satisfaction.
