Serum Fetuin-A Levels Are Associated with Serum Triglycerides Before and 6 Months after Bariatric Surgery

OBJECTIVE: The elucidation of the changes of fetuin-A in the context of bariatric surgery. DESIGN: Twenty obese patients (8 males, 12 females; body mass index = 42.5±3.4 kg/m2) were studied at baseline and 6 months after bariatric surgery. RESULTS: Serum fetuin-A levels did not differ with regard to the presence of each individual component of the Metabolic Syndrome (MetS) at baseline, except for hypertriglyceridaemia [increased serum fetuin-A levels (p=0.011)]. Circulating fetuin-A was positively correlated with serum triglycerides (TG) (r=0.461, p=0.047) and negatively correlated with serum globulins (r=-0.477, p=0.033) and C-reactive protein (CRP) (r=-0.604, p=0.010), while it independently predicted TG at baseline. Circulating fetuin-A did not change during the 6 months either in the whole population or in the subgroups of patients who were positive for each individual component of MetS at baseline and negative for this component at 6 months of follow-up, except for hypertriglyceridaemia [reduction of serum fetuin-A levels (p=0.046)]. The subgroup of patients with a decrease in circulating fetuin-A during the 6 months was characterized by a smaller reduction of serum globulins (p=0.003) and CRP (p=0.049). The change in serum fetuin-A levels over the 6 months was positively correlated with the change in TG (r=0.592, p=0.006) and negatively correlated with the change in serum globulins (r=-0.523, p=0.018) and CRP (r=-.494, p=0.037). Músicas brasileiras vertidas ao francês : uma análise a partir do olhar do outro

Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar uma análise de músicas populares brasileiras que foram traduzidas para o francês por artistas franceses, refletir acerca dessas versões e interrogar as condições da recepção da música popular brasileira, assim como as interpretações feitas pelos franceses por meio dessa troca cultural – a música. A análise musical foi delimitada a um corpus de seis músicas brasileiras adaptadas ao francês: O que será e Partido Alto, de Chico Buarque; Berimbau e Samba da Benção, de Baden Powell; Águas de março, de Antônio Carlos Jobim; e Você abusou, de Antônio Carlos e Jocafi, pois estas foram traduzidas para o francês no mesmo período em que foram compostas no Brasil. Dessa forma, o presente trabalho também busca estabelecer as semelhanças e/ou as diferenças das canções francesas em relação às brasileiras, uma vez que o foco temporal foi as músicas compostas e lançadas durante o período da ditadura brasileira (1964-1985), assim, essas canções seguem esse marco histórico. O resultado obtido foi que as versões francesas demonstram certo afastamento das originais (em português), elas apresentam um imaginário brasileiro baseado em um exotismo tropical, decorrente de um olhar estrangeiro voltado para o Brasil. Dados históricos, sociológicos e literários serviram de base para a análise deste trabalho.Ce travail a pour l’objectif de présenter une analyse de chansons populaires brésiliennes qui ont été traduites en français par des artistes français, de réfléchir à propos de ces versions, comme d’examiner les conditions de la réception de la musique populaire brésilienne, ainsi que l’interprétation de celles-ci par les Français à travers de cet échange culturel - la musique. D’une part, l’analyse musicale a été limitée à un corpus de six musiques brésiliennes adaptées à la langue française : O que será et Partido Alto, de Chico Buarque ; Berimbau et Samba da Benção, de Baden Powell ; Águas de Março, de Antônio Carlos Jobim ; et Você abusou, de Antônio Carlos et Jocafi, car celles-ci ont été composées au Brésil dans la même période qu’elles ont été traduites en français. D’autre part, ce travail cherche à établir les ressemblances et les différences des versions françaises par rapport aux chansons brésiliennes, en tenant compte que ces dernières ont été composées et diffusées pendant le régime dictatorial brésilien (1964-1985). Comme résultat, les versions françaises s’éloignent des brésiliennes car celles-là présentent une vision étrangère du Brésil fondée sur l’imaginaire de l’exotisme tropicale. The representation of the back in idiomatic expressions--do idioms value the body?

Objective: Whilst investigating the influence of patients' representations on the impact of teaching in the back school, we took an interest in 1) the place of the back in the French idioms referring to the body; and 2) the meaning these idioms convey about the back. Methods: The idioms including body part terms were sought on the basis of a compilation of French idioms; it has to be noted that such a compilation, however excellent it may be, can only offer a partial view of lay conversation. Occurrence of body parts and of their connotations were assessed. Idioms were classified as positive, negative or neutral, keeping in mind the difficulties of a strict classification in such a field. Drawings were then performed on the basis of the results of the descriptive analysis. Results: Globally, idiomatic expressions offer a rather negative picture of the body or at least suggest that the body is prominently used to express negative ideas and emotions. This is particularly striking for the idioms associated with the back. Conclusion: The analysis of idioms referring to the body allows us to 'see with our own eyes' another aspect of the representations of the body and the back, as they are conveyed in the French language. She shares the news of her miraculous healing. A comparative analysis of those testimonies and on ethnographic descriptions of the worship services during which she spoke will show how the pastor frames the believer's enunciation. A pragmatic and enunciative approach recaptures simultaneously both interactional and institutional levels. It will appear that the public speech contributes to redefining the congregation's perception of God and of itself. Both testimony settings show two ways, within Charismatic Evangelism, to refer to the supernatural. Those ways have an impact on the organization of the local churches

Le fonctionnement d'auxiliaires en afar

L'étude des auxiliaires renseigne sur les processus formels et sémantiques mis en œuvre dans les évolutions et les fonctionnements. En afar, l'analyse du fonctionnement de la totalité des auxiliaires a permis de dégager les valeurs sémantiques, en liaison avec la morpho-syntaxe, à la base de l'enrichissement du système verbal de la langue. Toutes les périphrases verbales qui permettent d'expliciter les relations entre le procès et son déroulement, entre le locuteur et le prédicat reposent sur quatre auxiliaires seulement. Ce sont les différentes combinaisons morphologiques, sémantiques et syntaxiques des deux éléments constitutifs de ces périphrases qui donnent à l'afar la possibilité d'exprimer douze valeurs TAM qui viennent modifier et préciser le système verbal de base fondé sur une opposition aspectuelle binaire (accompli - inaccompli)
