One of the great concerns of human beings throughout history is to be able to optimize and generate greater knowledge in order to improve the quality of life of all members of a community. In our country, various strategies have been developed by the Ministry of National Education [MEN] in order to ensure that children and young people have quality education that allows them to meet their learning needs. When studying the guidelines and standards issued by the MEN, it can be seen that there is a shortcoming for the preschool level, since, although there are guidelines, these are not specific for the different dimensions that students develop, on the other hand, the curricular standards of the areas of knowledge are not designed from the preschool level. This is why one of the latent concerns in all educational establishments is to look for tools that allow improving the educational process of students at different levels, including preschool, at this level is where students begin to develop skills that will strengthen through the passage of time during their educational activity

Within the framework of the project TransMigrArts, Transforming Migrations by Arts, of which a team of researchers and artists from the University of Antioquia is a member, the first stage of workshops was planned, to be observed by researchers from partner countries. The programme Peace is a Work of Art, of the Faculty of Arts of the Special Peace Unit, under the coordination of the Urabá Sectional Cultural Extension, which also has the support of the National Faculty of Public Health (all of them dependencies of the University of Antioquia), joined together in an interdisciplinary proposal of training and research creation: Itinerant Workshop of Arts for Peace -TIAP- in the territory of Urabá, Colombia. This was developed extraordinarily, in person, in the midst of the health crisis that affected the entire planet in 2020, taking place in the three university campuses of the Urabá section, in the municipalities of Apartadó, Carepa and Turbo. The TIAP proposed to relate the arts, literature and peace building, to influence the improvement of individuals, their communities and territories. All this from the artistic languages, promoting the strengthening of the processes of empathy, participation, reparation, resilience, coexistence, reconciliation and transformation, allowing individual and collective experiences to be expressed, transforming them into poetic, symbolic and reflective acts, developing creative, reparative powers in social leaders of the territory committed to the construction of societies in/and for peace in the country.
