Modified March C - Algorithm for Embedded Memory Testing

    Get PDF
March algorithms are known for memory testing because March-based tests are all simple and possess good fault coverage hence they are the dominant test algorithms implemented in most modern memory BIST. The proposed march algorithm is modified march c- algorithm which uses concurrent technique. Using this modified march c- algorithm the complexity is reduced to 8n as well as the test time is reduced greatly. Because of concurrency in testing the sequences the test results were observed in less time than the traditional March tests. This technique is applied for a memory of size   256x8 and can be extended to any memory size.DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijece.v2i5.158

UGC-NET is an eligibility examination for those who are aspiring for the academic jobs in the universities and colleges in India. There are multiple sources, mainly printed publications, available for preparation of UGC-NET exams. The present study examines the suitability of Wikipedia as a source for preparation. The 396 topics culled from the UGC-NET syllabus in LIS was compared for their coverage in Wikipedia. It was found that 55.55% of the topics are available on Wikipedia. The answers to the previous years’ questions were also searched. The study found that 35.48% of answers could be traced in Wikipedia. The Wikipedia was also examined from other parameters such as up-to-datedness, comprehensiveness, illustrations, and references and external links. The analyses show that Wikipedia could be a source for preparation for UGC-NET. The study has an implication for those who are seeking the eligibility for the jobs through UGC-NET

Studies on Friction Stir Welding of Dissimilar Materials

Recently many reports on Friction Stir Welding (FSW) of various dissimilar systems such as Aluminium to Copper, Aluminium to Brass and Aluminium to Aluminium been reported.FSW of Aluminium, Copper and Brass has captured important attention from manufacturing industries, such as Shipbuilding, Automotive, Railway and Aircraft production. In FSW process, a so-called welding-head pin rotating at speeds usually in excess of a few hundred rpm, travels down the length of contacting metal plates, creating a highly plastically deformed zone through the associated force and frictional heating. Brass materials are widely used as engineering materials in industry because of their high electrical and thermal conductivity, high strength, and high corrosion resistance. Copper and its alloys are widely used in industrial applications due to their excellent electrical & thermal conductivities, good strength, corrosion & fatigue resistance. The aim of present study was analogy of the microstructures and mechanical properties of friction stir welded joint of Aluminium to Copper, Aluminium to Brass and Aluminium to Aluminium platesin 4mm thickness

The witch's brew, the fears within and the regional security: implications for India

This paper is about the fears within India (K.P.S. Gill, Daily News and Analysis, Mumbai, August 23,2007) because of (a) the criminalization of politics, the irrationality and irresponsibility of political responses over extended periods of time, the continuous degeneration of the policing and internal security apparatus, the failure to maintain and create policing capacities in proportion to the country's needs, and the collapse of the entire justice system, and (b) the growing insurgencies within India, particularly because of communal problems, and the left wing extremism (of the Maoists) and their links with countries in the neighborhood (Bangladesh, Thailand, for example). India itself is deeply susceptible to destabilization because of disorder and no governance plaguing large parts of the country. But of course India has had a long and continuous experience in die management of internal security crises, starting in the massive and bloody upheavals of Partition from the early 1950s and a succession of insurgencies and terrorist movements, starting with the Naga rebellion in 1952. It is also the case that the country has, in many instances, been able to successfully tackle, contain or neutralize such movements whenever a determined political leadership and consensus has backed coordinated action by the security forces. There is yet a range of other internal] security challenges, including communal polarization and rioting, organized and trans-national crime, criminal politics and political crime, afflicting different parts of the country from time to time, and they have been countered with mixed success within a broad context of almost continuous decline in the country's administrative, security and justice systems (Nihar Nayak, Faultiness 17, February 15, 2006: 126-151; ). This paper is a quick summary of all these problems, towards an understanding of the regional security and the implications for India. The paper is closely looking at the country's counter insurgency experiences taking select case studies and analyses the deeper reasons and proposes strategies to overcome and / or eliminate the insurgency and security problems in the country and the South Asian Regio

    Hypertension Vis-à-Vis Vatavyadhi - A Critical Analysis

    Get PDF
Hypertension (HTN or HT), also known as high blood pressure or arterial hypertension, is a chronic medical condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is persistently elevated. Ranked as the third important risk factor for attributable burden of diseases in South Asia (2010). There are two basic components involved in the physiology of arterial blood pressure-cardiac output and peripheral resistance. Here hypertension has been understood on the grounds of Vatavyadhi and the management of hypertension on the same grounds has been elaborated. This paper throws an insight to the understanding and management of hypertension under the broad spectrum of Vatavyadhi. Also highlights the mode of action of anti-hypertensives on Ayurvedic grounds

    Get PDF
This study discusses about importance of MARC21 control field and its effective implementation in university libraries OPACs in Karnataka. The catalogue records available through library web OPACs of universities under study formed the data source for this study. The university library web OPACs which we examined in this study have used Koha ILMS. One thousand and eighty-eight (1088) records were randomly selected from the nine university library web OPACs for the study. The study examined the proper implementation of 008 control field of MARC21, which is an important data element in information retrieval. The study found that average length of a cataloguing record was 1572.78 characters. The study as also revealed that libraries web OPACs under study have given scant attention for control fields, 001 and 003 were the two tag numbers that have been used extensively. Overall the university libraries have neglected control fields data element in their OPACs. This adversely affect the data retrieval from the user point of view. The study strongly recommend that libraries should fill up the data required for control fields while cataloguing their records
