LAS NUEVAS TECNOLOGÍAS Y SU PAPEL EN LA CREACIÓN DE RELATOS MUSEOGRÁFICOS INNOVADORES, EN EL PERIODO PRE COVID-19

Las nuevas tecnologías se han convertido en herramientas diferenciales y competitivas para el ocio y recreación de las personas. De ahí que, muchos museos han apostado por este tipo de herramientas para ofrecer experiencias de visita más atractivas y aumentar la apropiación de los contenidos por parte de los visitantes. Por lo tanto, esta investigación pretende analizar el papel de las nuevas tecnologías en la construcción y presentación de narrativas innovadoras en los museos, en una etapa previa a la pandemia por Covid-19. Para ello, se aplicó un enfoque de investigación mixto, dividido en dos fases. En la fase cuantitativa, se analizó la literatura académica relacionada con las nuevas tecnologías en museos, durante el periodo 2007-2018. Para la fase cualitativa, se recolectó información de cinco museos de Barcelona, mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas y observación participante. Los principales resultados mostraron que las narrativas deben apoyarse en elementos audiovisuales intuitivos e inmersivos como la Realidad Aumentada o la Realidad Virtual, que permitan mejorar el aprendizaje de los visitantes. Esta investigación contribuye a elevar el valor del patrimonio (material e inmaterial), a través de la presentación de nuevos formatos de aprendizaje apoyados en la creatividad,la innovación y el uso de las nuevas tecnologías. Hence, many museums have invested in this type of tools to offer more attractive visit experiences and increase the appropriation of the contents by visitors. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the role of new technologies in the development and presentation of innovative narratives in museums, ata stage previous to the Covid-19 pandemic. For this purpose, a mixed research approach was applied, divided into two phases. In the quantitative phase,  the academic literature related to new technologies in museums, during the period 2007-2018, was analyzed. For the qualitative phase, information was collected from five museums in Barcelona, through semi-structured interviews and participantobservation. The main results showed that narratives should be supported by intuitive and immersive audiovisual tools, such as Augmented Reality or Virtual Reality, to enhance the visitors’ learning. This research contributes to raise the value of heritage(tangible and intangible), through the presentation of new learning formats supported by creativity, innovation and the use of new technologies. Integrated Task to improve English Speaking Skill

  Las Tareas Integradas son estrategias de enseñanza-aprendizaje que permiten al docente utilizar diferentes actividades en el aula para mejorar el nivel de inglés de los estudiantes y facilitar la adquisición de nuevos conocimientos, vinculándolos con la interacción social de ntro del aula. Estas actividades impactan en el estudiante y su forma de trabajar ya que las tareas son componentes importantes para desarrollar la competencia comunicativa y facilitar el aprendizaje de una segunda lengua o lengua extranjera. El presente trabajo es de orden cuali-cuantitativo, desarrollado con catorce estudiantes del tercer año de Bachillerato del Colegio Nacional Chordeleg año lectivo 2017 que, a través de la aplicación de las Tareas Integradas significativas e integradas a las cuatro competencias a través de ejercicios, los estudiantes mejoraron sus habilidades del idioma en el hablar, escribir, leer y escuchar, sin embargo, el estudio refleja que los estudiantes mejoraron el nivel de leer más que el de hablar. Palabras clave: Tareas integradas;investigación pedagógica; metodología; enseñanza de lenguaje  The Integrated-Tasks are teaching-learning strategies which allow the teacher to use different activities in the classroom to improve their level of English and facilitate the acquisition of knowledge linking to the social interaction in the classroom. These activities impact the student and his way of working since the tasks are important components to develop the communicative competence and facilitate the learning of a second language or foreign language.The following research work is qualitative and quantitative, with fourteen students of the third year of Bachillerato of the National Chordeleg School 2017 school year that, through the application of the meaningful and Integrated-tasks to the four competitions through exercises, the students improved their skills in speaking, writing, reading and listening in the English language, however this study reflects students got a better level in reading skill, more than in speaking skill which was expected. The Evolution of Citizen Security in Colombia in Times of COVID-19

This technical note examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on crime and law enforcement dynamics in Colombia. The analysis uses administrative data on police reports and arrests for different types of offenses. It applies a “difference-in-differences” model, comparing the number of reports and arrests during the quarantine against their pre-quarantine trend. The results show a marked decline in homicides, motor vehicle theft, and other theft types in the initial weeks of the quarantine. The strong initial declines attenuated over time. The results reveal differences in crime dynamics between different regions of the country. The analysis also shows how COVID-19 modified police activity: arrests for offenses such as homicide and robbery decreased, and arrests due to threats to public health increased. This article contributes to a growing number of studies on the pandemic’s social impact and provides data and tools to inform citizen security and criminal justice policies

Violencia de género: Análisis crítico del discurso en el femicidio de María Belén Bernal desde el periodismo

Este trabajo se enfoca en desentrañar el trasfondo del discurso de los actores sociales involucrados en el caso de femicidio de María Belén Bernal. A diferencia de otros estudios que emplean métodos cuantitativos como el Análisis de Contenido, este trabajo se b a sa en el enfoque cualitativo del Análisis Crítico del Discurso propuesto por Teun Van Dijk. Los resultados revelan tres puntos principales: primero, las autoridades reconocen en sus discursos la existencia de una sociedad machista en Ecuador; segundo, los sentimientos y emociones desempeñan un papel crucial en la construcción del discurso, estableciendo un vínculo emocional con la audiencia; y tercero, cada autor busca justicia para otros o busca justificar sus propios actos a través de sus discursos. En conclusión, este tr a ba jo resalta la importancia de construir discursos con enfoque de género y derechos humanos, brindando conocimientos valiosos para comprender las dinámicas sociales y promover la equidad de género. Los hallazgos tienen implicaciones teóricas y prácticas, proporcionando una base sólida para investigaciones futuras en los campos de género y análisis del discurso.The work focuses on unraveling the background of the discourse of the social actors involved in the femicide case of María Belén Bernal. Unlike other studies that use quantitative methods such as Content Analysis, this work is based on the qualitative approach of Critical Discourse Analysis proposed by Teun Van Dijk. The results reveal three main points: first, the authorities recognize in their speeches th e existence of a macho society in Ecuador; second, feelings and emotions play a crucial role in the construction of the discourse, establishing an emotional bond with the audience; and third, each author seeks justice for others or seeks to justify their own actions through their speeches. In conclusion, this work highlights the importance of building discourses with a gender and human rights approach, providing valuable knowledge to understand social dynamics and promote gender equity. The findings have theoretical and practical implications, providing a solid foundation for future research in the fields of gender and discourse analysis.0009-0000-5905-915

Spanish validation of the revised depression attitude questionnaire (R-daq)

Purpose: The aim of the study was to develop and validate a Spanish version of the Revised Depression Attitude Questionnaire (R-DAQ). Methods: The R-DAQ was used as a baseline for the study. It was translated and tested to ensure the instrument was appropriate for the target population. 537 Ecuadorian healthcare professionals completed the revised Spanish version of the R-DAQ (SR-DAQ). Statistical and exploratory factor analyses were performed to examine construct validity, internal consistency, readability and floor and ceiling effects. Results: Three factors were obtained: “Professional confidence in depression care”; “Therapeutic optimism about depression”; and “Generalist perspective about depression occurrence, recognition, and management”. The internal consistency of the SR-DAQ was determined by means of Cronbach’s α coefficient, with values ranging between 0.61–0.8. The correlations with the English version reflected adequate validity. The model explained 39% of the variance. Subsequent analysis with a sample restricted to those who had received training in depression produced a model that explained 42% of the variance. Conclusion: The SR-DAQ meets the psychometric requirements for measuring depression attitude in a Spanish-speaking population and shows adequate internal consistency and validity

Statistical analysis of a hydrocyclone system for coals benefit /

Este estudio busca evaluar el efecto del tamaño de partícula, la concentración de carbón, el diámetro de descarga y tipo de hidrociclón sobre el rendimiento másico, la eficiencia de recuperación orgánica y los porcentajes de eliminación de ceniza y azufre de un carbón proveniente del departamento del Valle del Cauca - Colombia. Para esto se desarrolló un sistema de lavado que empleó dos hidrociclones, uno de fondo plano y otro de fondo cónico. Se desarrolló un diseño estadístico experimental factorial fraccionado de IV resolución aleatorizado con el objeto de determinar los efectos significativos en el proceso de lavado. Los resultados evidenciaron que el diámetro de descarga del hidrociclón es el factor más inluyente sobre el rendimiento másico; se concluyó que el hidrociclón de fondo cónico se debe emplear para alcanzar mayores rendimientos másicos mientras que el hidrociclón de fondo plano se debe emplear para remover la mayor cantidad de ceniza y/o azufre durante el proceso.ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of particle size, coal concentration, discharge diameter and type of hydrocyclone on the mass yield, organic recovery efficiency, and the ash and sulfur removal percentages in a Colombian coal from the Valle del Cauca department. A washing system with two hydrocyclones was developed, one with a lat bottom and the other with a conical bottom. A randomized fractional factorial design (IV order resolution) was built in order to determine the significant effects on the washing process. The hydrocyclone discharge diameter was the most influential factor on the mass yield for both hydrocyclones. The study concluded that the conical bottom hydrocyclone should be used for getting a better yield mass; the lat bottom hydrocyclone should be used to remove the highest amount of ash and sulfur content during the process
