Origin and evolution of ferroelectricity in the layered rare-earth-titanate, R2R_2Ti2_2O7_{7}, Lichtenberg phases

We report a systematic first-principles study based on density functional theory (DFT) of the structural and ferroelectric properties of the $R_2$Ti$_2$O$_{7}$ perovskite-related oxides with $R=$ La, Ce, Pr, and Nd. We show that, in all cases, the ferroelectric distortion to the ground-state polar $P2_1$ structure from its parent centrosymmetric $P2_1/m$ phase is driven by a single polar soft mode consisting of rotations and tilts of the TiO$_6$ octahedra combined with displacements of the $R$ ions. A secondary centrosymmetric distortion, which is stable in the parent structure, contributes substantially to the energy lowering of the ground state. We evaluate the trends in structure and polarization across the series as a function of $R$ and reconcile discrepancies in reported values of polarization in the literature. Our results confirm that the family of $R_2$Ti$_2$O$_{7}$ materials belong to the class of proper geometric ferroelectrics.Comment: 15 pages, 12 figures, 7 table

DISEÑO DE UN PRODUCTO TURÍSTICO PARA EL DESARROLLO ECONÓMICO DE SAN PABLO – CAJAMARCA

La presente investigación se basa en diseñar un producto turístico que contribuya al desarrollo económico de la provincia de San Pablo – Cajamarca, puesto que el desempleo es un grave problema que aqueja a la provincia y sin embargo los numerosos recursos turísticos que existen en la zona no son aprovechados para desarrollar la actividad turística. La investigación se realizó bajo un enfoque mixto, es de tipo descriptivo propositivo y con diseño no experimental transversal. La muestra del estudio corresponde a 95 pobladores de San Pablo a los cuales se les aplicó una encuesta dicotómica y cuyos resultados se procesaron mediante el software SPSS v.22. En cuanto a la medición de la variable dependiente se realizó un análisis a los resultados obtenidos mediante entrevista al Jefe de Imagen Institucional de la Municipalidad Provincial de San Pablo, dicho análisis nos permite identificar condiciones favorables para diseñar y ejecutar el producto turístico

Beneficios tributarios en las exportaciones y su incidencia en la rentabilidad en APPFONORPE, Sullana 2018-2021

El estudio tuvo como principal objetivo determinar la incidencia de los beneficios tributarios en las exportaciones en la rentabilidad en la asociación de pequeños productores de frutos orgánicos del norte del Perú. La metodología empleada fue diseño no experimental transeccional-correlacional con enfoque cuantitativo. La investigación tuvo como población los documentos de exportación y estados financieros de APPFONORPE de los años 2018, 2019, 2020 y 2021 que fueron analizados con la ayuda del programa Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) para determinar la correlación conforme a los objetivos planteados. Por consiguiente, se obtuvo como resultado que no existe incidencia entre los beneficios tributarios en las exportaciones y la rentabilidad. Finalmente se concluyó, que mediante el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson se obtuvo un indicador de -0.749 con una significancia bilateral de 0.251, siendo mayor que 0.05 lo que demostró que no existe una incidencia entre los beneficios tributarios en las exportaciones y la rentabilidad en APPFONORPE, debido a que durante los años 2018 al 2021 los funcionarios de dicha empresa no tuvieron una correcta gestión en cuanto a los beneficios tributarios en las exportaciones, es por ello que no se obtuvieron los niveles de rentabilidad esperado

Elasticity of Diamond at High Pressures and Temperatures

We combine density functional theory within the local density approximation, the quasiharmonic approximation, and vibrational density of states to calculate single crystal elastic constants, and bulk and shear moduli of diamond at simultaneous high pressures and temperatures in the ranges of 0-500 GPa and 0-4800 K. Comparison with experimental values at ambient pressure and high temperature shows an excellent agreement for the first time with our first-principles results validating our method. Thermoelastic Properties of Ringwoodite [Fe_x,Mg_(1-x)]_2SiO_4: Its Relationship to the 520 km Seismic Discontinuity

We combine density functional theory (DFT) within the local density approximation (LDA), the quasiharmonic approximation (QHA), and a model vibrational density of states (VDoS) to calculate elastic moduli and sound velocities of gamma-[Fe_x,Mg_(1-x)]_2SiO_4 (ringwoodite), the most abundant mineral of the lower Earth's transition zone (TZ). Comparison with experimental values at room-temperature and high pressure or ambient-pressure and high temperature shows good agreement with our first-principles findings. Then, we investigate the contrasts associated with the beta-to-gamma-[Fe_x,Mg_(1-x)]_2SiO_4 transformation at pressures and temperatures relevant to the TZ. ENFOQUE INTEGRAL DE LA IMPORTANCIA DE LA DIETA EN LAS CONDICIONES ACTUALES DE SALUD DE LA POBLACIÓN MEXICANA/ COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH OF DIET IMPORTANCE ON HEALTH STATUS OF THE MEXICAN POPULATION

Actualmente, en países occidentales la dieta se caracteriza por el consumo elevado de alimentos refinados con alto aporte energético, relacionado con el incremento alarmante de enfermedades crónicas degenerativas. En México, los casos de diabetes e hipertensión son cada vez más comunes a temprana edad; además poseemos el primer lugar mundial en obesidad infantil y el segundo en adultos. La prevención y atención temprana de estas enfermedades es clave para disminuir los casos, y conocer el estado de salud de una población constituye parte de la estrategia de prevención. En la Encuesta Nacional de Salud y Nutrición (ENSANUT) 2012, se reporta que un alto porcentaje de los mexicanos no conoce su condición general de salud, por ejemplo: solamente el 50% de la población conoce sus niveles de colesterol en sangre. Por otro lado, sólo el 30% de los hogares mexicanos cuentan con condiciones de seguridad alimentaria y aún prevalecen enfermedades infecciosas diarreicas y respiratorias agudas. En el presente escrito se presenta un análisis de los datos más recientes del estado de salud en México, incluyendo aspectos de inseguridad alimentaria y mostrando alternativas basadas en la modificación de hábitos alimenticios para prevenir y disminuir la presencia de enfermedades crónicas degenerativas. ABSTRACT Nowadays, the diets in occidental countries are characterized by a high intake of refined and high-energy foods, which are directly related to an increase in incidence and prevalence of chronic degenerative diseases. In Mexico, early-age diabetes and hypertension incidence are increasing markedly; furthermore we have the first position in childhood obesity and the second place in adults worldwide. Prevention and early attention of chronic degenerative diseases is the key to diminish the number of cases, and knowing any population’s health status is important to reach this objective. In Mexico, in the National Health and Nutrition Survey (ENSANUT) 2012, has reported that a high percentage of the population does not know their general health condition, for example: only 50% of the people know their cholesterol levels. Moreover, only 30% of Mexican families have conditions of food security and acute diarrheal and respiratory diseases still prevail. In this report, we present an analysis about the most recent health status and food insecurity data in Mexico, and we show some alternatives based in food habits modification mainly, to decrease the high rate of chronic degenerative diseases
