Flourishing in subterranean ecosystems: Euro-Mediterranean Plusiocampinae and tachycampoids (Diplura, Campodeidae)
Este artículo contiene 138 páginas, 213 figuras, 14 tablas.Diplura is a group of entognathous hexapods, often considered a sister group to insects. They
play an important role in recycling organic matter in soil and subterranean terrestrial ecosystems. The
Campodeidae is the most diverse family, divided into four subfamilies. The subfamily Plusiocampinae
has a subterranean life-style with many species distributed in the Euro-Mediterranean area. The incertae
sedis tachycampoids (“lignée Tachycampoïde”) is a group within the family Campodeidae that share
with the Plusiocampinae a strong preference for subterranean habitats and several morphological
characters, such as slender body shape, elongated appendages, considerable increment in the number of
antennomeres and cercal articles, and complexity of sensorial structures. The present monograph provides
a taxonomic revision of the subfamily Plusiocampinae and the genera belonging to the tachycampoid
lineage from Europe and the Mediterranean region. It comprises detailed morphological descriptions
and illustrations together with data on the habitats and distributions of 87 species, 10 subspecies and
11 affinis forms. Seven new species are described among those, namely: Plusiocampa (Plusiocampa)

OCYS PHOCEUS N. SP., A NEW INTERESTING OROPHILOUS SPECIES OF CENTRAL GREECE (Coleoptera, Carabidae) (*)
(*) Results of the programme “Research Missions in the Mediterranean Basin” sponsored by the World Biodiversity Association onlus. XXVIIIth contribution.A new species of Trechinae ground beetles (Coleotera, Carabidae), Ocys phoceus n. sp., is described from Kokkiniás Mt. in the Vardoússia Mts. (Prefecture of Fokída, Greece). Ocys phoceus n. sp. is strictly related, and represents the Western vicariant, of O. rotundipennis Huber and Marggi, 2001, of the Parnassós Mt.</p
REVIEW OF THE ANILLINA OF MACEDONIA AND DESCRIPTION OF TWO NEW SPECIES OF PRIONIOMUS FROM GREECE (Coleoptera, Carabidae) (*)
(*) Results, in part, of the programme “Research Missions in the Mediterranean Basin” sponsored by the World Biodiversity Association onlus. XXXIIIth contribution.A revision of the Anillina of Macedonia is given, with the description of the following new species of Winklerites Jeannel, 1937: W. vonickai n. sp. from Bistra planina, W. blazeji n. sp. from Galičica Mts., W. moraveci from Baba Mts. and W. gueorguievi from Ničpurska (Šar planina). W. fodori Guéorguiev, 2007, is redescribed on material coming from a site near the type locality. Prioniomus maleficus n. sp. from Katara pass (Notía Pindos, nom. Tríkala, NW Greece) and P. caoduroi n. sp. from the road Kasteli-Kalavrita (nom. Ahaïa, Peloponnese, Greece) are also described. Ecological and chorological data of some species are given and zoogeographical hypotheses are discussed.</p
A New Iason Species from Crete (Coleoptera, Carabidae, Anillini) with Notes about Anillini of Greece and Anatolia
Iason assingi n. sp. from the island of Crete (Greece) is described. A synopsis of the Anillini fauna of the Balkan Peninsula and Anatolia is provided. Faunistic, phylogenetic, and zoogeographic implications are discussed. Prioniomus (21 species), Winklerites (21 species), Dicropterus (1), Parvocaecus (5), Caecoparvus (23) and Iason (10 species) make up the East Mediterranean Anillini fauna. The palaeogeographic situation of this area is discussed with attention to the current distribution of the different species and genera of Anillini. In particular, the presence and possible impact that the presence of a “Transaegean Furrow” may have had on the current distribution of these tiny ground beetles are discussed
