A radiating dyon solution
We give a non-static exact solution of the Einstein-Maxwell equations (with
null fluid), which is a non-static magnetic charge generalization to the
Bonnor-Vaidya solution and describes the gravitational and electromagnetic
fields of a nonrotating massive radiating dyon. In addition, using the
energy-momentum pseudotensors of Einstein and Landau and Lifshitz we obtain the
energy, momentum, and power output of the radiating dyon and find that both
prescriptions give the same result.Comment: 9 pages, LaTe
Propagation of high amplitude higher order sounds in slightly soft rectangular ducts, carrying mean flow
The resonance expansion method, developed to study the propagation of sound in rigid rectangular ducts is applied to the case of slightly soft ducts. Expressions for the generation and decay of various harmonics are obtained. The effect of wall admittance is seen through a dissipation function in the system of nonlinear differential equations, governing the generation of harmonics. As the wall admittance increases, the resonance is reduced. For a given wall admittance this phenomenon is stronger at higher input intensities. Both the first and second order solutions are obtained and the results are extended to the case of ducts having mean flow
Fibonacci and Super Fibonacci Graceful Labeling of Some Graphs
Abstract: In the present work we discuss the existence and non-existence of Fibonacci and super Fibonacci graceful labeling for certain graphs. We also show that the graph obtained by switching a vertex in cycle Cn, (where n >= 6 ) is not super Fibonacci graceful but it can be embedded as an induced subgraph of a super Fibonacci graceful graph. Key words: Graceful Labeling; Fibonacci Graceful Labeling; Super Fibonacci Graceful Labelin
On Strong Domination Number of Graphs
A subset S of a vertex set V is called a dominating set of graph G if every vertex of V -S is dominated by some element of set S. If e is an edge with end vertices u and v and degree of u is greater than or equal to degree of v then we say u strongly dominates v. If every vertex of V - S is strongly dominated by some vertex of S then S is called strong dominating set. The minimum cardinality of a strong dominating set is called the strong domination number of graph. We investigate strong domination numbers of some graphs and study related parameter
E-cordial Labeling for Cartesian Product of Some Graphs
We investigate E-cordial labeling for some cartesian product of graphs. We prove that the graphs Kn × P2 and Pn × P2 are E-cordial for n even while Wn × P2 andK1,n × P2 are E-cordial for n odd. Key words: E-Cordial labeling; Edge graceful labeling; Cartesian produc
Domination Integrity of Some Path Related Graphs
The stability of a communication network is one of the important parameters for network designers and users. A communication network can be considered to be highly vulnerable if the destruction of a few elements cause large damage and only few members are able to communicate. In a communication network several vulnerability measures like binding number, toughness, scattering number, integrity, tenacity, edge tenacity and rupture degree are used to determine the resistance of network to the disruption after the failure of certain nodes (vertices) or communication links (edges). Domination theory also provides a model to measure the vulnerability of a graph network. The domination integrity of a simple connected graph is one such measure. Here we determine the domination integrity of square graph of path as well as the graphs obtained by composition (lexicographic product) of two paths
Independent Domination in Some Wheel Related Graphs
A set S of vertices in a graph G is called an independent dominating set if S is both independent and dominating. The independent domination number of G is the minimum cardinality of an independent dominating set in G . In this paper, we investigate the exact value of independent domination number for some wheel related graphs
Preventing anaemia in pregnancy - need for intensive IEC Activities
A Study to know the compliance rale of IFA tablets in respect of collection and consumption was carried out in three districts of Himachal Pradesh covering 90 clusters. Out of total women interviewed with childless than one year, only 94.8% had collected IFA tablets. 41.9% and 10% women had consumed these tablets for 60 and 100 days respectively. Majority of women did not consume these tablets with the reason that medicine is taken on ly during illness and as such they don't require these tablets. Intrusive Information, Education and Communication activities are stressed in the paper

Improving post-partum family planning services provided by female community health volunteers in Nepal: a mixed methods study.
BACKGROUND: Family planning services in the post-partum period, termed post-partum family planning (PPFP) is critical to cover the unmet need for contraception, especially when institutional delivery rates have increased. However, the intention to choose PPFP methods such as post-partum intrauterine devices (PPIUD) remains low in countries such as Nepal. Community health workers such as Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) could play an important role in improving the service coverage of PPFP in Nepal. However, their knowledge of PPFP and community-based services related to PPFP remain unclear. This study aims to assess the effect on community-based PPFP services by improving FCHV's knowledge through orientation on PPFP. METHODS: We conducted this mixed-methods study in Morang District in Nepal. The intervention involved orientation of FCHVs on PPFP methods. We collected quantitative data from three sources; via a survey of FCHVs that assessed their knowledge before and after the intervention, from their monthly reporting forms on counseling coverage of women at different stages of pregnancy from the communities, and by interviewing mothers in their immediate post-partum period in two selected hospitals. We also conducted six focus group discussions with the FCHVs to understand their perception of PPFP and the intervention. We performed descriptive and multivariable analyses for quantitative results and thematic analysis for qualitative data. RESULTS: In total, 230 FCHVs participated in the intervention and their knowledge of PPFP improved significantly after it. The intervention was the only factor significantly associated with their improved knowledge (adjusted odds ratio = 24, P < 0.001) in the multivariable analysis. FCHVs were able to counsel 83.3% of 1872 mothers at different stages of pregnancy in the communities. In the two hospitals, the proportion of mothers in their immediate post-partum period whom reported they were counseled by FCHVs during their pregnancy increased. It improved from 7% before the intervention to 18.1% (P < 0.001) after the intervention. The qualitative findings suggested that the intervention improved their knowledge in providing PPFP counseling. CONCLUSION: The orientation improved the FCHV's knowledge of PPFP and their community-based counseling. Follow-up studies are needed to assess the longer term effect of the FCHV's role in improving community-based PPFP services
