The effectiveness of the use of purified bacterial lysates of the most therapy-resistant strains of microorganisms – the causative agents of pustular skin infections in the treatment of acne vulgaris (acne vulgaris)

The objective of the work was to study the effectiveness of the use of purified bacterial lysates of the most therapy-resistant strains of microorganisms, the causative agents of pustular skin infections, by comparing clinical data and the skin microbiome in patients with acne. The results of the study are based on the data of a comprehensive examination of 35 patients with acne of 2-3 degrees before and after treatment, as well as data of the examination of 15 patients of the control group. Examination methods: clinical examination of the skin, determination of the quantitative composition and microbiological identification of the skin microbiome (bacteria of the genera Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Propionibacterium Corynebacterium, Micrococcus, Sarcina, Aerococcus, Acinetobacter, Brevibacterium, Citrobacter, Serratia, Lactobacillus; yeast-like fungi of the genera Malassesia and Candida, mold fungi ). In the studied patients with acne, the representative microorganisms of the skin microbiome were Propionibacterium acnes, S. epidermidis, and C. lipophilicum. In patients with acne, the stability of the skin microbiome was carried out due to the redistribution between S. epidermidis and C. lipophilicum. In patients receiving "Acnevac"® (Bioveta, a. s.), a component of a complex treatment, along with earlier periods of clinical improvement, there was noted an earlier normalization of the skin microbiome in comparison with patients receiving standard therapy. Approaches to the treatment of acne with antibiotics and chemotherapy require a revision. The state of the skin microbiome broadens knowledge on the pathogenesis of acne and the search for other means for the individual treatment of patients. Positive changes in the skin microbiome under the influence of treatment with purified bacterial lysates of the most therapy-resistant strains of microorganisms, the causative agents of pustular skin infections, make it possible to recommend its use for a longer term – up to 6 months

The analysis of the clinical and tool parameters characterizing a cardiomyopathyat various forms of the progressing muscular dystrophies

    Get PDF
Purpose: studying of clinical and tool characteristics of cardiomyopathies at various forms of the progressing muscular dystrophies. Material and methods. There had been 103 patients with hereditary forms of the progressing muscular dystrophies examined, among which 35 persons were with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, 28 with an atrophic myo-tonia, and 40 with a limb girdle dystrophy is conducted. Assessment of clinical and tool features of cardiomyopathies at these types of the hereditary progressing muscular dystrophies had been carried out. Results. In the group of patients with diffusion damage of a myocardium in the form of dystrophic violations had been revealed. Existence of a negative tooth of T in some assignments and lengthenings of an interval of QT is noted. With a dystrophic myotonia violation of a warm rhythm occurred at patients by 87 times more often than in the group of comparison. Violation of a rhythm of heart in group of patients with a limb girdle dystrophy came to light 91 times more often in reference to the group of comparison. Conclusion. Violations in a cardiovascular system at Duchenne muscular dystrophy are preferentially diffusion changes in a myocardium. At a dystrophic myotonia and a limb girdle dystrophy cardial violations concern mainly excitability and the conductivity of heart which are the main reason of developing of this disease at these patients.</p

Trapping polarization of light in nonlinear optical fibers: An ideal Raman polarizer

    Get PDF
The main subject of this contribution is the all-optical control over the state of polarization (SOP) of light, understood as the control over the SOP of a signal beam by the SOP of a pump beam. We will show how the possibility of such control arises naturally from a vectorial study of pump-probe Raman interactions in optical fibers. Most studies on the Raman effect in optical fibers assume a scalar model, which is only valid for high-PMD fibers (here, PMD stands for the polarization-mode dispersion). Modern technology enables manufacturing of low-PMD fibers, the description of which requires a full vectorial model. Within this model we gain full control over the SOP of the signal beam. In particular we show how the signal SOP is pulled towards and trapped by the pump SOP. The isotropic symmetry of the fiber is broken by the presence of the polarized pump. This trapping effect is used in experiments for the design of new nonlinear optical devices named Raman polarizers. Along with the property of improved signal amplification, these devices transform an arbitrary input SOP of the signal beam into one and the same SOP towards the output end. This output SOP is fully controlled by the SOP of the pump beam. We overview the sate-of-the-art of the subject and introduce the notion of an "ideal Raman polarizer"

ABOUT UNIFICATION OF MATERIALS AND TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESSES AT AN ENTERPRISE

    Get PDF
Unification is one of the possible ways to reduce the cost price and labor intensity. Unification of technological processes can not be mass one at using unique technologies. This is an issue of the expedient and of theeconomic security. Unification of the materials of sealing elements is one of the possible directions of unification at unique technological processes of manufacturing powerful liquid rocket engines

Preparation of facilities for fundamental research with ultracold neutrons at PNPI

The WWR-M reactor of PNPI offers a unique opportunity to prepare a source for ultracold neutrons (UCN) in an environment of high neutron flux (about 3*10^12 n/cm^2/s) at still acceptable radiation heat release (about 4*10^-3 W/g). It can be realized within the reactor thermal column situated close to the reactor core. With its large diameter of 1 m, this channel allows to install a 15 cm thick bismuth shielding, a graphite premoderator (300 dm^3 at 20 K), and a superfluid helium converter (35 dm^3). At a temperature of 1.2 K it is possible to remove the heat release power of about 20 W. Using the 4pi flux of cold neutrons within the reactor column can bring more than a factor 100 of cold neutron flux incident on the superfluid helium with respect to the present cold neutron beam conditions at the ILL reactor. The storage lifetime for UCN in superfluid He at 1.2 K is about 30 s, which is sufficient when feeding experiments requiring a similar filling time. The calculated density of UCN with energy between 50 neV and 250 neV in an experimental volume of 40 liters is about 10^4 n/cm^3. Technical solutions for realization of the project are discussed.Comment: 10 pages, more detail

Multiinstanton ladders in Baryon Number Violating Processes

    Get PDF
We estimate the contribution of a class of multiinstanton ladder graphs to baryon and lepton number violating processes in the standard model. We find that this contribution is negligible and does not alter the high energy behavior of the leading semiclassical approximation.Comment: 15 pages, 2 figures RevTe

Giant Late Pleistocene paleolake in Central Kamchatka depression (Kamchatka Peninsula, Russian Far East)

    Get PDF
A number of tephrochronologically correlated and dated sedimentary sections provide evidence for the existence of a giant lake filled the Central Kamchatka depression 30-11 thousand years ago. The lake extent bounded by CKD borders is estimated to be ~10 000 km2. This estimate makes this lake comparable in size to the famous Late Pleistocene glacial Lake Missoula
