    The article considers and analyzes railway transport risks. The general risk classification related to the passenger traffic has also been improved. In addition, for more sophisticated study of risk management and insurance issue, the features of railway transport insurance have been identified; the rules of railway transport voluntary insurance of various insurance companies are analyzed. As the result, it was constructed an improved classification of factors influencing the efficiency of the passenger train plying and associated with risks for passenger traffic, based on the studies carried out. The need to take into account the main factors affecting the efficiency of passenger transportation along with railway transport risks were noted. This should ensure an increase in the efficiency of passenger transportations and their competitiveness in the transport market of the country.В статье рассмотрены и проанализированы риски на железнодорожном транспорте. Также усовершенствована общая классификация рисков относительно пассажирских перевозок. Дополнительно для более совершенного исследования вопроса управления рисками и страхования определены особенности страхования на железнодорожном транспорте; проанализированы правила добровольного страхования железнодорожного транспорта различных страховых компаний. Впоследствии на основе проведенных исследований построена усовершенствованная классификация факторов, влияющих на эффективность курсирования пассажирского поезда и связанных с рисками для пассажирских перевозок. Отмечена необходимость учета основных факторов, влияющих на эффективность пассажирских перевозок вместе с рисками на железнодорожном транспорте. Это должно обеспечить повышение эффективности пассажирских перевозок и их конкурентоспособности на транспортном рынке страны.У статті розглянуті та проаналізовані ризики на залізничному транспорті. Також удосконалена загальна класифікація ризиків стосовно пасажирських перевезень. Додатково для більш досконалого дослідження питання управління ризиками та страхування визначені особливості страхування на залізничному транспорті; проаналізовані правила добровільного страхування залізничного транспорту різних страхових компаній. Згодом на основі проведених досліджень побудована удосконалена класифікація факторів впливу на ефективність курсування пасажирського поїзду у зв’язку з ризиками для пасажирських перевезень. Наголошено на необхідності врахування основних факторів впливу на ефективність пасажирських перевезень разом з ризиками на залізничному транспорті. Це має забезпечити підвищення ефективності пасажирських перевезень та їх конкурентоспроможності на транспортному ринку країни

    Assessment of fresh groundwater vulnerability to contamination caused by production operations in oil and gas fields of Nizhnevartovsk Region (Western Siberia)

    Groundwater quality is possible to provide under the condition of aquifers effective protection from surface contamination and bottom pollution prevention in the areas of intense oil-gas production operations. Qualitative and quantitative assessment of groundwater vulnerability is based on regional characteristics of lithological composition and thickness of impermeable deposits in unsaturated zone and overlying deposits. The correlation of head and water table levels, absorption capacity of soils and clay rocks are also considered. An integrated approach to natural vulnerability analysis of groundwater has been presented. It suggests a combination of three most common methods. Based on performed calculations, the map has been made to plot fresh groundwater vulnerability of Atlym-Novomikhailovsk aquifer system (Nizhnevaryovsk Region, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomus Okrug)

    Theoretical principles of petroleum hydrogeology of the West Siberian megabasin (WSMB)

    Comprehensive study of the chemical and gas composition, temperatures, levels, pressure of deep underground water in deep wells is associated with the beginning of the systematic development of the oil and gas potential in Western Siberia and the first discovery of large deposits here. The development of new branches of hydrogeology is due to the fact of more and more available data. Thus, fundamental understandings of the WSMB hydrogeological conditions are being translated into new theories. Geodynamically, the WSMB structure was revised and based on hydrogeological data, regional and local prediction of oil and gas occurrence exploration criteria were developed. Based on the dispersion halo water-dissolved substance theory, exploration methodology of "neglected" deposits were formulated, conceptual issues of technogenic changes of oil and gas hydrogeosphere areas were being developed

    Numerical method for 2d soliton solution at SHG in media with time‐dependent combined nonlinearity

    The paper describes the iteration method for finding the eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of the system of two nonlinear Schrödinger equations, which describes the process of second harmonic generation by femtosecond pulse in media with the quadratic and cubic nonlinear response. Coefficients, which characterize the nonlinearities, depend on one of the coordinate. The discussed method allows to find soliton solutions of new form corresponding to the first and second eigenvalues for the wide range of the nonlinear coefficients values. For determination of the eigenfunctions of the third and higher order it is necessary to select the initial approximation in a special way. First Published Online: 14 Oct 201

    Methods for controlling of the laser-induced absorption in a BTO crystal by using of cw-laser radiation

    A photorefractive BTO crystal is exposed with cw-laser beams (430 mW/cm2 at 514 nm), and the photoinduced absorption between 480 and 900 nm is studied. A method of controlling this absorption by low intensity laser radiation of “green” and “red” wavelengths is demonstrated. The physical mechanism can be explained by the redistribution of electrons on the long-lived energy levels into the forbidden band. Dynamical characteristics of the redistribution are estimated

    Phase hologram formation in highly concentrated phenanthrenequinone–PMMA media

    For phase holographic gratings in layers of polymethylmethacrylate, containing phenanthrenequinone in high concentration (nearly 3 mol%), a discrepancy between experimental (up to 9) and estimated (∼45) magnitudes of the thermal diffusion amplification coefficient has been revealed. Analysis of plausible reasons of the lower experimental efficiency of the diffusion amplification has been carried out. The influence of material deformations on the reflection grating formation process was investigated experimentally. It is shown that thermoactivated amplification of holograms under high phenanthrenequinone concentration and its profound modulation are depressed by the arising density ‘grating’
