Distributed Voltage and Current Control of Multi-Terminal High-Voltage Direct Current Transmission Systems

High-voltage direct current (HVDC) is a commonly used technology for long-distance power transmission, due to its low resistive losses and low costs. In this paper, a novel distributed controller for multi-terminal HVDC (MTDC) systems is proposed. Under certain conditions on the controller gains, it is shown to stabilize the MTDC system. The controller is shown to always keep the voltages close to the nominal voltage, while assuring that the injected power is shared fairly among the converters. The theoretical results are validated by simulations, where the affect of communication time-delays is also studied

Some results on singular value inequalities of compact operators in Hilbert space

We prove several singular value inequalities for sum and product of compact operators in Hilbert space. Some of our results generalize the previous inequalities for operators. Also, applications of some inequalities are given.Comment: 1

Some inequalities associated with the Hermite-Hadamard inequalities for operator h-convex functions

We introduce the concept of operator h-convex functions for positive linear maps, and prove some Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities for these functions. As applications, we obtain several trace inequalities for operators

First report of Altenia mersinella (Lep.: Gelechiidae: Gelechiinae: Litini), a pest of pistachio, from Iran

During a survey on pistachio, Pistacia vera L., pests in Isfahan, Iran, in 2015, some lepidopteran larvae living and feeding inside galls of the wrinkling pistachio aphid, Forda hirsuta Mordv., were observed. After laboratory rearing of these larvae, the moths were identified as Altenia mersinella (Staudinger, 1879) (Lep.: Gelechiidae) by the third author. This species has previously been reported from Turkey, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine but it is the first report of this species from Iran. Based on the available literature, this is also the first record of a host plant for this species

Some quantum f-divergence inequalities for convex functions of self-adjoint operators

In this paper, some new inequalities for convex functions of self-adjoint operators are obtained. As applications, we present some inequalities for quantum $f$-divergence of trace class operators in Hilbert Spaces
