    The application of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and compost is one of the environmentally friendly technologies to improve the fertility of the planting media so that the results of the seeds are higher of quality. Banana weevil or banana stem is an organic material that has several macro and micro nutrient content, for example N, P and K, and contain chemical compounds in the form of carbohydrates that can stimulate the growth of microorganisms in the soil. Furthermore, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) can increase nutrient uptake from the soil into the roots. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the addition of banana weevil compost (Musa balbissiana Colla) and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on growing media on the growth of cempaka seedlings (Elmerrillia ovalis (Mig) Dandy). The result of this research showed that the combination of banana weevil compost and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi on growing media significantly influences the growth of leaf number and dry weight, but no significant effect on growth in height, diameter and wet weight. The combination of banana weevil + soil (P1) compost treatment on growth media gave the growth of cempaka seedlings (Elmerrillia ovalis (Mig) Dandy) better than other treatments. The treatment of banana weevil + soil compost (P1) gives the best effect on all parameters, which is the increase in diameter with an average of 0.70 mm, height increase with an average of 2.70 cm, increase in the number of leaves of 1.70 strands, wet weight with an average of 2.90 g, dry weight with an average of 0.60 g.Keywords: compost,arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, Elmerrillia ovalis (Mig) Dand

    Hazelnut (Aleurites mollucana Willd.) is one type of MPTS plant so that hazelnut plants can be used as pioneers in rehabilitation activities. Hazelnuts have a thick seed skin and impermeable or dormant seed properties against water and gas, blocking water imbibisi and oxygen entry into the seeds. Skarification is one of the seed treatment efforts, aimed at breaking dormancy, as well as accelerating the occurrence of uniform seed germination (Sholicha, 2009). There are three types of skarification, namely physical, chemical and mechanical skarification. The treatment of various skarification of hazelnut seeds can increase the germination of hazelnut seeds (Aleurites moluccana Willd.) in real time. This can be seen from the real influence of giving treatment of various skarification to the germination of hazelnut seeds such as the percentage of the number of germinated seeds (G), the average percentage of the number of germinated seeds per day (MDG), the average germination day (GR), and the speed of tumb. Immersion skarification treatment using KNO3 with a consentaration content of 0.2% for 24 hours gives a better influence in the percentage of the number of germinated seeds with an average amount of 44%, the average percentage of germinated seeds per day with an average amount of 0.69%, the average germination day with the number of 42 days, and the speed grows with an average amount of 0.034%/etmal.     Improving The Students\u27 Reading Comprehension Through Know-Want-Learn Strategy at the first-grade students of SMA Negeri 18 Makassar. The objective of this research was intended to explain the improvement of the students\u27 interpretative and literal reading comprehension through Know-Want-Learn Strategy at the first-grade students of SMA Negeri 18 Makassar especially in class X 3. The strategy of this research was a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisted of two cycles, one cycle consisted of four meetings. It means that there were eight meetings for two cycles. This classroom action research was done at the first-grade students of SMA Negeri 18 Makassar in Daya Regency for English subject. As the subject in this research was class X 3 in the 2012-2013 academic year with students\u27 number of about 32 students. Those consist of 22 women and 10 men. The instrument of this research was observation sheet and reading test or evaluation. The findings of the research were students achievement in reading comprehension was 54,07 in D-test, then Cycle I is 69,07 and it becomes 73,81 in Cycle II. The students\u27 activeness in learning reading comprehension in the first meeting of Cycle I was 45,39% then it becomes 90,78% in the fourth meeting of Cycle II

    Permasalahan mitra, Madrasah Tsanawiyah Wihdatul Ulum Bontokassi Kabupaten Gowa, dalam pengabdian ini adalah implementasi Gerakan Literasi Sekolah belum berjalan optimal dan Pojok Baca sebagai sarana penunjang Gerakan Literasi Sekolah juga belum tersedia. Selain itu, guru dan peserta didik belum memahami secara mendalam terkait tahapan implementasi Gerakan Literasi Sekolah. Untuk itu, solusi yang diterapkan adalah pembuatan Pojok Baca Kelas dan memberikan materi program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah sosialisasi, penyuluhan, dan aplikasi program. Pada kegiatan sosialisasi, diberikan motivasi literasi kepada peserta didik. Kegiatan penyuluhan, diberikan materi implementasi dan tahapan program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah kepada guru dan pustakawan. Dan pada kegiatan aplikasi program, dilakukan pembuatan pojok baca kelas. Berdasarkan realisasi kegiatan pengabdian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan hasil yang berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan mitra terkait program Gerakan Literasi Sekolah dan telah tersedianya sarana literasi Pojok Baca di sekolah.     The aims of this research was to determine the effects of some growing medium and concentration of organic liquid fertilizer on the growth of Palaquium sp seedlings. The research was conducted from April to July 2013, at the Permanent Nursery, Tadulako University, Palu Central Sulawesi. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Design (RCD) with factorial pattern. First, growing medium consist of four treatments; soils/control (P0), Soils+Sand+Compos 1:1:1 (P1), Soils+Sand+Compos 2:1:1 (P2), Soils+Sand+Compos 3:1:1 (P3). Second, concentration of organic liquid fertilizer; 0 ppm/kontrol (C0), 1,0 ppm (C1), 1,5 ppm (C2) and 2,0 ppm (C3). Observation Parameters consist of seedling height increment, stem diameter increment, and increment of leaf number per plant. The results of the study showed that there were significant differences between the treatments in all the parameters assessed. The highest seedling height increment (16,4 cm) was achieved by combination treatment between P2C2. The highest stem diameter increment (0,32 mm) was also achieved by combination treatment between P0C1. Hence, for the single effect of the treatments, the highest leaf number increment was achieved by Soils+Sand+Compos 2:1:1 treatment (P2) and concentration of organic liquid fertilizer 1,5 ppm (C2) with value 6,05 and 6,15 pieces, respectively.     PENGEMBANGAN PENILAIAN KINERJA UNTUK MENGUKUR KETERAMPILAN KOMUNIKASI PESERTA DIDIK KELAS IV DI MIN 2 MAKASSAR

    Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkansebuah produk berupa perangkat pembelajaran yaitu instrumen penilaian yang digunakanuntuk menilai tugas kinerja peserta didik yang berkualitas valid, praktis dan efektif.Penelitian ini menguraikan proses pengembangan instrumen penilaian dan rubrik yangdigunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik kelas IV. Langkahlangkahpengembangan produk ini menggunakan model 4D yang dimodifikasi menjadi3D, dengan tahapan sebagai berikut: (1) Pendefinisian (define), (2) perancangan (Design),(3) pengembangan (develop), dan penyebaran (dissiminate). Lokasi penelitian ini di MIN 2Makassar dan kelas IVC dipilih menjadi kelas uji coba. Untuk memperoleh kevalidanproduk, maka dilakukan proses validasi oleh validator, hal yang sama juga dilakukanterhadap angket respon guru. Untuk mengetahui tingkat kepraktisan produk yangdikembangkan dilakukan melalui angket kepada guru yang telah menggunakan produkdan guru wali kelas IV. Untuk mengetahui tingkat keefektifan produk yangdikembangkan dilakukan uji coba produk dengan mengacu pada persentase ketuntasanklasikal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat ditemukan bahwa instrumen yangdikembangkan berupa instrumen penilaian kinerja untuk mengukur keterampilankomunikasi peserta didik telah memenuhi kriteria sangat valid dengan nilai rata-rata 3.6,kriteria kepraktisan sangat baik dengan rata-rata nilai 3.52, dan kriteria keefektifan tinggidengan persentase 76.92%. Dengan demikian produk berupa instrumen penilaian danrubrik yang terdiri atas instrumen penilaian kinerja yang dilengkapi materi dan langkahlangkahmengerjakan pedapat digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan komunikasipeserta didik.Produk yang dikembangkan ini telah berkualitas valid, praktis, dan efektifsehingga pendidik bisa menggunakannya dalam proses pembelajaran yang melakukanpenilaian terhadap tugas kinerja peserta didik terlebih ketika pendidik melakukanpenilaian kinerja untuk mengukur keterampilan komunikasi peserta didik

    Mahogany has rapid growth and produces hard mahogany which is automatic for furniture. An important factor that determines the success of mahogany is the availability of quality seeds. For this reason, the things that need to be known are the availability of sufficient nutrients and air for seedling growth. In meeting the needs of seedlings, NPK compound fertilizers. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth of mahogany seedlings at various doses of NPK compound fertilizer. The research method is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of four treatments, namely P0 = Land (control), P1 = Land + NPK fertilizer with a dose (5 g), P2 = Soil + NPK fertilizer at a dose (10 g) and P3 = Land + NPK fertilizer with a dose (15 g). Each treatment was repeated five times requiring 20 seedlings of 20 experimental samples, each polybag containing one mahogany seedling. The data used are the results of the analysis using in-depth or very realistic analysis and analysis using the Honest Real Difference Test (BNJ) at the level (5%). The results showed that the dose of NP fertilizer was very significant for all parameters, namely seedling height increase, stem diameter increase, number of leaves, seedling wet weight and seedling dry weight. Soil treatment + NPK fertilizer with a dose (15 g) (P3) gives the best influence on the growth of mahogany seedlings in almost all parameters that know, where the average seedling height increase, which is 2.40 mm, increase in stem diameter, ie 1.21 cm, increase in number of leaves, ie 3.03 strands, seedling wet weight, ie 2.75 g and seedling dry weight of 2.15 g.Keywords: NPK fertilizer, mahogany, Swietenia mahagoni (L) Jac

The data obtained based on the observed results were analyzed by using the analysis of the variety and treatment that had real or very real effect tested further by using the Honest Different Test (BNJ) at the level (5%). The result of this research shows that the dosage of NPK fertilizer has significant effect on all parameters, that is the height of seedlings, the stem diameter, the leaf number, the wet weight of the seedlings and the dry weight of the seedlings. Soil treatment + NPK fertilizer with dose (15 g) (P3) gave the best influence to the growth of mahogany seedlings in almost all observed parameters, where the average height increase of seedlings, ie 2.40 mm, stem diameter increase, ie 1.21 cm, the increase of leaf number, that is 3.03 strands, wet weight of seedlings, that is 2.75 g and dry weight of seedlings is 2.15 gr

    HUBUNGAN ANEMIA PADA IBU HAMIL DENGAN KEJADIAN BAYI BERAT LAHIR RENDAH (BBLR) DI RSKD IBU DAN ANAK SITI FATIMAH MAKASSAR

    Saat ini tingginya AKI dan AKB di Indonesia masih merupakan masalah yang menjadi prioritas dibidang kesehatan. Angka prevalensi anemia pada ibu hamil di Indonesia  adalah 37,1% dan di Sulawesi Selatan 28,1%, anemia pada ibu hamil dihubungkan dengan meningkatnya kelahiran BBLR dengan prevalensi kasus BBLR di Indonesia mencapai 10,2%, Sulawesi Selatan adalah 3,13% dan di Kota Makassar 2,62%. Di RSKDIA Siti Fatimah Makassar tahun 2015 sebanyak 12,40% meningkat pada tahun 2016 meningkat menjadi 13,34%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan anemia pada ibu hamil dengan kejadian BBLR di RSKDIA Siti Fatimah Makassar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah survey analitik dengan pendekatan case control dan menggunakan data sekunder, jumlah sampel 114 dimana dari jumlah tersebut 57 merupakan BBLR dan 57 yang BBLN. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa nilai p value 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya ada hubungan anemia pada ibu hamil dengan kejadian BBLR dengan OR 4,706 yang berarti ibu yang anemia mempunyai risiko 4,706 kali lebih besar melahirkan bayi berat lahir rendah dibandingkan dengan ibu yang tidak anemia. Untuk itu disarankan, perlunya peningkatan pelayanan pada ibu hamil sehingga dapat mendeteksi lebih awal gejala anemia dan dapat segera menanggulanginya.     Adhenanthera pavonina L is a multipurpose Tree Species Because Almoust tree species because almost all parts of the plant can be used and has high economi value. In supporting the develoment of adhenanthera pavonina L plants, quality seeds are needed in supfficient quantities and on time. The objektive 0f this research is to find out the effect of chicken manure compost on growth of  Adhenanthera pavonina L seedling. This research was conducted for 4 months from April to july  2019 at the BPDS palu-poso , Tadulako University Palu. Anlalysis of compost content was carried out at soil science laboratory of agricultural faculty tadulako university  palu. This research used a completely randomized design (CRD) method consisting of four treatments namely :k0= 1000g soil without compost, K1 =1000g soil :50g chicken manure compost, K2= 1000g soil:100g chicken manure compost, K3=1000g soil :150g chicken manure compost. Based on the resulst of the reserch show that soil treatment and chicken manure compost do not have a significant affect on height increase, number of leaves, and root dry weight, and root wet weight. The best Adhenanthera pavonina L plant growth is the treatment of K1= 1000g soil : 50g chicken manure compost  with average plant heigt (3,71cm), plant diameter (1,46mm), number of leaves (2,37 strands) crown wet weight (4,22g), crown dry weight 91,24g), and root wet weight (1,15g) and seed quality index (0,13). The treatment of K1= 1000g: 50g chicken manure compost gives a better aeefect compared to other treaments.Keywords: growth, compost, Adhenanthera pavonina
