CHARLES BENETTO’S DREAM IN DEPRESSIVE CONDITION AND ITS EFFECT DEPICTED IN MITCH ALBOM’S FOR ONE MORE DAY

Keywords: Depression, Jungian Dream, Personality, For One More Day. For One More Day by Mitch Albom portrays a psychological condition of human being. It is one of the novels that explores that issue, especially regarding dreaming in depressive condition and personality changes. These things can be identified through the character, named Charles Benetto, as the representation of human in the reality. Therefore, the objectives of this study are: (1) to explore the relation between Charles’ depression and his dream (2) to discover how Charles’ dream changes his personality.This study is carried out using qualitative approach since the psychological phenomenon of the main character is analyzed in descriptive ways. Jungian dream and personality theories are applied in analyzing the data that are found in the novel. Charles, the main character of the novel, has several symptoms as depressed person after facing several problems in his life that happen within his family. The causes and desires regarding his depression remain in his unconscious. Those affect his mind and later appear in his dream. He dreams about things that worry him and wishes that are unfulfilled. This dream gives a great influence on Charles’ personality in the future since in the dream he gets several life lessons through the conversation with his deceased mother and expectation that is finally met. In conclusion, there is a relation between Charles’ depression and his dream, and his dream affect the change of Charles’ personality in the future.Hopefully, the next researchers can analyze more about how Charles personality develops since childhood to adolescence and as a divorced child. Things about divorcement that is portrayed in the novel can also be explored more

IN SILICO DOCKING STUDIES OF GALLIC ACID STRUCTURAL ANALOGUES AS BCL-XL INHIBITOR IN CANCER

Objective: Apoptosis, or programed cell death, forms an important part of the cellular regulation machinery. The Bcl-2 protein family, comprisingproapoptotic and antiapoptotic members, forms an important part of the cells internal apoptotic pathway. Overexpression of the antiapoptoticmembers of the family in a number of cancer cell lines renders them immune to apoptosis and the ability to survive under conditions of cellular stress.Inhibition of the antiapoptotic members of the Bcl-2 family like Bcl-XL is, therefore, an interesting target for the development of anticancer therapy.Methods: The structure of antiapoptotic Bcl-XL receptor (1YSG) was taken from PDB database. The 23-dimensional structure of gallic acid analogswas designed. The Lipinski properties of gallic acid analogs were calculated using molsoft. Docking studies have been carried out through Autodock4.0 software.Results: Molecular docking analysis with gallic acid and their structural analogs showed propyl gallate, benzyl gallate, diallyl gallate, phenyl ethylgallate, and allyl gallate are more interactive and binding strongly than gallic acid at active site of Bcl-XL.Conclusion: Further these five compounds should be considered as potential candidates for Bcl-XL inhibitor.Keywords: Apoptosis, Bcl-2, Antiapoptotic Bcl-XL receptor, Gallic acid, Docking studies

PERAN APARATUR PENGAWAS INTERN PEMERINTAH DALAM REVIEW RENCANA KERJA ANGGARAN SEBAGAI QUALITY ASSURANCE KEBERHASILAN PENGANGGARAN KEUANGAN KABUPATEN BENGKULU UTARA

The purpose of this research is to know the role apparatus government internal control in review document work planning in the North Bengkulu Regency. The sample of this study was taken by census method. Data analysis in this research use descriptive statistic method. The results showed that: (1) the review or financial and program in the North Bengkulu Regency as good level. The dimension of reviews is planning, implementation and reporting. (2) the internal control system as supporting activity on reviews of financial and program, has a good level. The dimensions of supporting activities are internal control, risk appraisal, control activity, information and communication and controlling. Suggestion for Local Government of North Bengkulu Regency is to improve the realization of the role of effective internal government oversight apparatus, improve the risk assessment not maximal, especially on risk assessment in the workplace. Improving and able to establish and review on performance indicators and measures, maintaining and improving communication and information by utilizing various existing communication means and improving monitoring that has not been maximally monitored by conducting continuous monitoring

Pengaruh Permainan Tutup Botol Angka Terhadap Kemampuan Kognitif Anak Kelompok B di TK Aisyiyah Bustahnul Athfal 6 Aimas Kabupaten Sorong. Permasalahan yang akan dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah Apakah terdapat Pengaruh Permainan Tutup Botol Angka Terhadap Kemampuan Kognitif Anak Kelompok B Di TK Aisyiyah Busthanul Athfal 6 Aimas Kabupaten Sorong?. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan kognitif melalui permainan tutup botol angka pada anak kelompok B. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Quasi Experimental Design, yang bertempat di TK Aisyiyah Bustahnul Athfal 6 Aimas kabupaten sorong. dengan subjek 20 anak, Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, kemudian data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis dengan uji-t. Berdasarkan perhitungan hasil uji SPSS v.25, diperoleh nilai thitung sebesar 7.857 sedang dari tabel distribusi t dengan taraf signifikan 5% diperoleh 2.086. ternyata nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel atau nilai thitung telah berada didalam daerah penerimaan H1. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa H1 diterima dan menolak H0. Jumlah Makrofag pada Luka Insisi Full Thickness yang diberi Ekstrak Umbi Bidara Upas (Merremia mammosa (Lour)) pada Tikus Wistar Jantan (The Number of Macrophage in Full Thickness Wound Incision after Treatment using Merremia mammosa Extract in Male Wist

One important complication in the diabetic patient is diabetic ulcer. Diabetic ulcers in diabetes patient can increase the risk of amputation and expensive treatment costs, so the alternative treatmeant such as Merremia mammosa which has antiinflamatory and antidiabetic is needed. This study aimed to determine the comparison of the number of macrophage in the incisional wound in hyperglycemic male wistar rats between treatment with Merremia mammosa extract and NaCl. The in vivo test was done by creating wound incision on the mice backs and treated with gentamycin ointment 5% in a positive control group, NaCl in a negative control group and Merremia mammosa extract in a dose of 100m), 200mg, 400mg in treatment group. The result obtained by counting the number of macrophage in histopatholgy examination. The result showed the number of macrophage were 0,36 cells/field of view in a negative control group, 0,52 cells/field of view in a positive control group, 0,48 cells/field of view in all Merremia mammosa treatment groups. The data analysis showed no significant difference with p-value of 0,729. Uji Aktivitas Anti Hiperurisemia Ekstrak n-Heksana, Etil Asetat, dan Etanol 70% Biji Jinten Hitam (Nigella sativa) terhadap Mencit Hiperurisemia (Anti Hyperuricemic activity of n-Hexane, Ethyl acetate, and Ethanol 70% of Black Cumin Seed (Nigella sativa)

The aim of this study was to determine the in vivo anti-hyperuricemic effect of black cumin extract. Black cumin was extracted with n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol 70% continously. Fifteen mice were divided into five groups K-, K+, P1, P2, and P3. Group K- as negative control (chicken liver juice 0,2 % b/v) and group K+ as positive control (allopurinol 10 mg/kg b.w.). Group P1, P2, and P3 received n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol 70% black cumin extract. The extracts were given to mice in 200 mg/kg b.w dose for 4 days. The blood samples were taken an hour after potassium oxonate injection (300 mg/kg b.w) to inhibit uricase enzym. The data was collected and analyzed using one way ANOVA and LSD test. The result showed that activity of ethyl acetate extract of black cumin has no significant difference of possitive control. Based on phytochemistry screening it has terpenoid, saponin, and alkaoid. Terpenoid has anti-hyperuricemic effect but its mechanism still unknown.   Keywords: hyperuricemic, Nigella sativa, terpenoid

Dimensi dalam EO tersebut mempunyai hubungan positif, termasuk pengambilan risiko (Naldia, Nordqvist, Sjoberg, & Wiklund, 2007). Perilaku tersebut diharapkan memiliki efek langsung maupun tidak langsung pada profitabilitas perusahaan (Barker & Sinkula, 2009). EO adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil keuangan dari pada untuk memajukan tujuan lain yang dapat diikuti oleh organisasi dan manajer mereka. (Rauch, Wiklund, Lumpkin, & Frese, 2009). EO juga berorientasi pada kinerja perusahaan yang lebih kompleks, bukan hanya indikator keuangan saja (Wiklund & Shepherd, 2005)
