    Lokasi yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini adalah kota Surakarta dengan ruang lingkup penelitian adalah pedagang barang antik di Pasar Windujenar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan seberapa besar pengaruh modal, tingkat pendidikan, pengalaman berdagang, dan waktu usaha terhadap keberhasilan pedagang barang antik di Pasar Windujenar Surakarta yang diukur lewat laba yang didapat. Selain itu juga untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya dan jenis hambatan yang dikeluhkan padagang untuk mencapai keberhasilan. Jenis Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survey, dimana obyek penilitian berjumlah 70 pedagang benda antik di Pasar Windujenar Surakarta. Dalam menganalisis permasalahan pertama digunakan regresi linear berganda yang sebelumnya dilakukan uji pemilihan model dengan MWD test dan Metode Zarembaka. Sedangkan untuk menganalisis permasalahan kedua digunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa variabel modal, pengalaman berdagang dan waktu usaha mempunyai pengaruh secara signifikan terhadap besarnya laba yang diperoleh pedagang barang antik, sedangkan variabel tingkat pendidikan tidak mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan meskipun mempunyai koefisien regresi yang positif. Dari hasil uji F menunjukkan bahwa secara bersama-sama keempat variabel bebas yaitu modal, tingkat pendidikan, pengalaman berdagang dan waktu usaha berpengaruh terhadap tingkat keberhasilan pedagang. Nilai Adj R Square yang diperoleh dari regresi linier adalah sebesar 0.410681. Ini artinya sekitar 41,0681% variasi variabel dependen (perubahan tingkat laba) dapat dijelaskan oleh variasi independen yang dimasukan dalam model yaitu modal, pendidikan, pengalaman berdagang dan waktu usaha. Sisanya sebanyak 58,9319% dijelaskan oleh variasi variabel lain yang tidak dimasukan dalam model. Sedangkan dari hasil analisis deskriptif disimpulkan bahwa masih terdapat hambatan yang dialami pedagang setelah revitalisasi pasar, dimana hambatan terbesar yang dikeluhkan adalah pengunjung pasar yang sepi.     Ovaj članak se bavi eksperimentalnim istraživanjem faktora trenja kod kliznih ležaja bez ponovnog podmazivanja. Istraživanje uključuje određivanje iznosa faktora trenja i usporedbu ovisno o opterećenju i broju okretaja mjerenih na kliznom paru bez ponovnog podmazivanja koji se sastoji od kliznih ležaja i vratila. Rezultat ovog pokusa je pokazatelj izmjerenih vrijednosti kliznog para u radnim uvjetima. Sve slike mjerenja i uvjeta opterećenja za svaki ležaj predstavljene su pomoću dijagrama.This article is focused on experimental research of the friction factor in sliding bearings without relubrication. The research includes study of friction factor values and their comparison depending on load and revolutions measured on sliding pairs, consisting of a sliding bearing and a shaft, without relubrication. The result of this experiment is an evidence of values measured reflecting the sliding pair actions under operation conditions. All the represented measured results and load conditions of each bearing are presented via graphs

    The support needs of terminally ill people living alone at home: a narrative review

    Context: The number of terminally ill people who live alone at home and without a caregiver is growing and exerting pressure on the stretched resources of home-based palliative care services. Objectives: We aimed to highlight the unmet support needs of terminally ill people who live alone at home and have no primary caregiver and identify specific models of care that have been used to address these gaps. Methods: We conducted a narrative review of empirical research published in peer-reviewed journals in English using a systematic approach, searching databases 2002–2013. This review identified 547 abstracts as being potentially relevant. Of these, 95 were retrieved and assessed, with 37 studies finally reviewed. Results: Majority of the studies highlighted the reduced likelihood of this group to be cared for and die at home and the experiences of more psychosocial distress and more hospital admissions than people with a primary caregiver. Few studies reported on the development of models of care but showed that the challenges faced by this group may be mitigated by interventions tailored to meet their specific needs. Conclusion: This is the first review to highlight the growing challenges facing community palliative care services in supporting the increasing number of people living alone who require care. There is a need for more studies to examine the effectiveness of informal support networks and suitable models of care and to provide directions that will inform service planning for this growing and challenging group

    Perkara pidana di bidang pelayaran, penyidik berwenang melakukan penyitaan terhadap kapal sepanjang berkaitan dengan peristiwa pidana sebagaimana ketentuan Pasal 39 KUHAP. Dalam penyitaan kapal penyidik telah berkoordinasi dengan syahbandar, dan penyidik. Pertanyaan yang layak diajukan ketika perkara pidananya sampai di tingkat pengadilan apakah untuk kepentingan pemeriksaan hakim akan melakukan penahanan kapal sesuai dengan kewenangannya berdasarkan undang-undang pelayaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menemukan dan menganalisis rasio hukum Pasal 222 Undang-Undang Nomor 17 Tahun 2008 tentang Pelayaran, sebagai kebijakan legislatif yang memberi kewenangan hakim untuk melakukan penahanan kapal yang terkait perkara pidana dan menganalisis implikasi hukum Pasal 222 Undang-Undang Nomor 17 Tahun 2008 tentang Pelayaran terhadap penerapan penahanan kapal oleh hakim. Untuk menjawab permasalahan penelitian digunakan penelitian hukum normatif bertujuan untuk menemukan aturan-aturan hukum pada rasio hukum dan implikasi kebijakan legislatif pada kewenangan hakim dalam melakukan penahanan kapal. Hasil penelitian ini ialah rasio hukum Pasal 222 Undang-Undang Nomor 17 Tahun 2008 tentang Pelayaran sebagai kebijakan legislatif memberi kewenangan hakim untuk menahan kapal dalam rangka mempermudah pemeriksaan pada perkara pidana yang berkaitan dengan kapal dengan tujuan untuk membuat efektif peraturan perundang-undangan yang ada hubungannya dengan pelayaran dan implikasi hukum undang-undang pelayaran yaitu untuk melakukan penahanan terhadap kapal yang terkait dengan perkara pidana maupun yang terkait dengan perkara perdata oleh hakim ialah, melengkapi KUHAP. Bu sebeple öğrencilerin Fen ve Teknoloji dersindeki kavram ve konuları en iyi şekilde öğrenebilmeleri, öğrendikleri bilgilerin kalıcı olması ve bu bilgileri yaşamlarında kullanabilmeleri için günlük yaşamla ilişkilendirmeleri önemlidir. Ortaokul öğrencilerinin fen ve teknoloji dersindeki kavramları kullanma ve günlük yaşamları ile ilişkilendirme durumlarını belirlenmek için 5.,6.,7. ve 8. sınıflar için Fen ve Teknoloji Dersi Bilgilerini Günlük Yaşamla İlişkilendirme Ölçeği, Fen ve Teknoloji Dersi Akademik Başarı Testi ve Fen ve Teknoloji Dersi Bilgilerini Uygulama Ölçeği geliştirilmiştir. Fen ve Teknoloji Dersine İlişkin Tutum Ölçeği ise Göçmençelebi (2007)'den Fen Bilgisi Tutum Ölçeği alınarak öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Çalışmada Betimsel Araştırma Modelleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Kırıkkale ili Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı İlkokul/Ortaokul 5., 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise 2012-2013 yılında Basit Tesadüfi Örnekleme yoluyla Kırıkkale İl merkezinden seçilen 5 İlkokul/Ortaokul oluşturmaktadır. Hazırlanan ölçekler, 5. sınıfta toplam 164 (92 Erkek/72 Kız) öğrenciye, 6. sınıfta toplam 142 (67 Erkek/75 Kız) öğrenciye, 7. sınıfta toplam 206 (111 Erkek/95 Kız) öğrenciye ve 8. sınıfta toplam 184 (93 Erkek/91 Kız) öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak anket, ölçek ve test kullanılmış ve verilerin analizi SPSS 15.0 istatistiksel analiz paket programında yapılmıştır.Fen ve Teknoloji Dersi Bilgilerini Günlük Yaşamla İlişkilendirme Ölçeğindeki sonuçlara göre 5., 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin Fen ve Teknoloji Dersindeki bilgileri günlük yaşamla ilişkilendirmede zorlandıkları, 5., 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin Fen ve Teknoloji Dersindeki bilgileri günlük yaşamla ilişkilendirmede 7. sınıfların aile geliri 0-850 TL arasında olan öğrencilerin daha başarılı oldukları; 5., 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin Fen ve Teknoloji Dersi akademik başarı durumları incelendiğinde, 6. ve 8. sınıflarda 60-69,99 aralığı "orta" değere, 5. ve 7. Sınıflarda geliri 2500-5000 TL arası olanlar ve babasının öğrenim durumu lise mezunu olanların daha başarılı oldukları,5., 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin Fen ve Teknoloji Dersi Bilgilerini uygulama durumları incelendiğinde; 5., 6., 7. ve 8. sınıflarda uygulanan ortaokul not sistemine göre 70- 84,99 aralığı "iyi" değere karşılık geldiği, 5., 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin Fen ve Teknoloji Dersindeki Bilgileri Uygulamalarında, 6. sınıflarda; gelir düzeyi 0-850 TL arasında olanların daha başarılı oldukları, 5., 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin Fen ve Teknoloji Dersine İlişkin tutum incelendiğinde; Fen ve Teknoloji Dersine İlişkin Tutum Ölçeğinde alınan puanların 4.19-3.4 aralığına karşılık geldiği, bu değer aralığında da "katılıyorum" maddesinin bulunduğu, 5., 6., 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin Fen ve Teknoloji Dersine İlişkin tutumlarında, 8. sınıflardaki aile gelir düzeyi 0-850 TL arası olanların tutumlarının daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.Subjects of science and technology are associated with multiple events in our life. For that reason, it is important that students can learn the concepts and subjects in a permanent way to relate and use the concepts in their daily life. In this study, to determine the usage and relation of concepts with daily life of the secondary school classes 5,6,7,8, a scale that relate the science and technology with daily life, academic achievement test for science and technology and an application scale are developed. A scale associated with attitude of science and technology is applied to the students based on Göçmençelebi (2007), where descriptive research models were utilized. The contents of the research consists of 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students of primary and middle schools of Ministry of Education in Kırıkkale province. Sampling of the research include 5 primary/middle schools selected with random sampling method from Kırıkkale city center in 2012-2013. Scales are applied to 164 students (92 male/ 72 female) in 5th grade classes, 142 students (67 male/ 75 female) in 6th grade classes, 206 students (111 male/ 95 female) in 7th grade classes, and 184 students (93 male/ 91 female) in 8th grade classes. In this work, surveys, scales and tests are utilized as data collection tools and the data are analysed with SPSS v.15.0 statistical analysis software. According to the results of the Scale of Association of Knowledge of Science and Technology Class with Daily Life, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students exhibit difficulties in associating daily life with what they have learnt in Science and Technology class. 7th grade students with montly income less than 850 TL provide the most successful group. When the academic achievements status of 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th classes is examined, it is observed that average scores correspond to the intervals of 60-69,99 at the 6th and 8th classes and valid scores correspond to the intervals of 50-59,99 at the 5th and 7th classes. The most successful group in academic success are 7th grade students and 8th grade students who have at least college graduate father and have high school graduate fathers with 2500-5000 TL monthly income, respectively. Based on the Scale of Application of Science and Technology Knowledge, interval of 70-84,99 corresponds to 'good' degree for 5th, 6th, 7thand 8th grades. The most successful group that can applied their knowledge is 6th grade students with montly income less than 850 TL. According to Behavioral Scale Regarding Science and Technology Class, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students scored between 4.19 and 3.4 points that refers to 'I agree'. The most well behaving group was 8th grade students with montly income less than 850 TL out of all

    Using finite element analysis to obtain plastic zones in the vicinity of the crack edges, under mixed mode loading conditions

    This paper deals with both size and shape of plastic zone in the vicinity of the crack edges. Determination of plastic zone is proposed using the three-dimensional finite element analysis. Both, linear elastic and elastic-plastic material models are considered in this paper. Subsequently, results of these approaches are compared and their applicability is evaluated. Geometry considered is a beam with L-shaped cross section containing a crack, as it is described below. Mentioned beam is subjected to mixed mode loading condition, that is represented by variable forces in the direction of global coordinate system.
