Denjoy and P-path integrals on compact groups in an inversion formula for multiplicative transforms

    Get PDF
Denjoy and P\mathcal P-path Kurzweil-Henstock type integrals are defined on compact subsets of some locally compact zero-dimensional abelian groups. Those integrals are applied to obtain an inversion formula for the multiplicative integral transform

Inversion formulae for the integral transform on a locally compact zero-dimensional group

    Get PDF
Generalized inversion formulae for multiplicative integral transform with a kernel defined by characters of a locally compact zero-dimensional abelian group are obtained using a Kurzweil-Henstock type integral

Existence and multiplicity of solutions for Dirichlet problems involving nonlinearities with arbitrary growth.

    Get PDF
In this article we study the existence and multiplicity of solutions for the Dirichlet problem \displaylines{ -\Delta_p u=\lambda f(x,u)+ \mu g(x,u)\quad\hbox{in }\Omega,\cr u=0\quad\hbox{on } \partial \Omega} where Ω\Omega is a bounded domain in RN\mathbb{R}^N, f,g:Ω×R→Rf,g:\Omega \times \mathbb{R}\to \mathbb{R} are Caratheodory functions, and λ,ÎŒ\lambda,\mu are nonnegative parameters. We impose no growth condition at ∞\infty on the nonlinearities f,g. A corollary to our main result improves an existence result recently obtained by Bonanno via a critical point theorem for C1C^1 functionals which do not satisfy the usual sequential weak lower semicontinuity property

Integration by parts for the Lr Henstock-Kurzweil integral

    Get PDF
Musial and Sagher [4] described a Henstock-Kurzweil type integral that integrates Lr-derivatives. In this article, we develop a product rule for the Lr-derivative and then an integration by parts formula

    The Lr-Variational Integral

    Get PDF
We define the Lr-variational integral and we prove that it is equivalent to the HKr-integral defined in 2004 by P. Musial and Y. Sagher in the Studia Mathematica paper The Lr-Henstock–Kurzweil integral. We prove also the continuity of Lr-variation function

Regularity of some method of summation for double sequences

Some generalization of Toeplitz method of summation is introduced for double sequences and condition of regularity of it is obtained

On the LrL^r-differentiability of Two Lusin Classes and a Full Descriptive Characterization of the HKrHK_r-integral

It is proved that any function of a Lusin-type class, the class of ACGrACG_r-functions, is differentiable almost everywhere in the sense of a derivative defined in the space~LrL^r, 1≀r<∞1\le r<\infty. This leads to obtaining a full descriptive characterization of a Henstock-Kurzweil-type integral, the HKrHK_r-integral, which serves to recover functions from their LrL^r-derivatives. The class ACGrACG_r is compared with the classical Lusin class ACGACG and it is shown that a continuous ACGACG-function can fail to be LrL^r-differentiable almost everywhere

The role of internal resources in the competitive positioning of Sicilian wine cooperatives

    Get PDF
The paper is an original article that uses accounting frameworks to determine what creates a competitive advantage in a cooperative business model. In particular, it investigates the influence of tangible, intangible and financial resources on the business performance of cooperatives operating in the Sicilian wine industry, with the RBV of the firms as a theoretical background. Using a linear regression model, our results show that tangible and financial resources are a source of a sustained competitive advantage. This study fills the gap existing in the strategic management literature related to the role of resources, tangible and intangible, in the cooperative system, providing both theoretical and practical implications

THE ENTREPRENEURS’ PROPENSITY TO ADOPT ELECTRIC MOBILITY IN THE SHORT FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN

    Get PDF
In the last years, Short Food Supply Chain (SFSC) has gained relevant attention among the consumers, for its characteristics of environmental, economic and social sustainability. At the same time, recently some doubts has been raised about the environmental negative impacts that also SFSC is causing, despite the intrinsic “local” label. In particular, the reference is on the transport system and related CO2 emissions of SFSC that undermines the full achievement of environmental concerns. To deal with this challenge, electric vehicles (EVs) are seen as a viable and very promising alternative. Starting from these considerations, this study investigates the propensity of entrepreneurs operating in the SFSC to introduce EVs inside their business. In particular, in order to understand which factors affect this behaviour, the Theory of Planned Behaviour and New Ecological Paradigm have been used. Results show that farmers with high attitudes towards the shift from carbon transport systems to electrical ones, and which are more sensitive to ecological and environmental sustainability issues, are more willing to adopt EVs in their business. This is the first work that investigates the intention of local producers, operating in the SFSC, to introduce an EV for the freight transports, providing interesting theoretical, managerial and political implication, and addressing scholars towards future researches
