    Enhanced squeezing with parity kicks

Using exponential quadratic operators, we present a general framework for studying the exact dynamics of system-bath interaction in which the Hamiltonian is described by the quadratic form of bosonic operators. To demonstrate the versatility of the approach, we study how the environment affects the squeezing of quadrature components of the system. We further propose that the squeezing can be enhanced when parity kicks are applied to the system.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figure

Laplacian Projection Based Global Physical Prior Smoke Reconstruction

    Get PDF
We present a novel framework for reconstructing fluid dynamics in real-life scenarios. Our approach leverages sparse view images and incorporates physical priors across long series of frames, resulting in reconstructed fluids with enhanced physical consistency. Unlike previous methods, we utilize a differentiable fluid simulator (DFS) and a differentiable renderer (DR) to exploit global physical priors, reducing reconstruction errors without the need for manual regularization coefficients. We introduce divergence-free Laplacian eigenfunctions (div-free LE) as velocity bases, improving computational efficiency and memory usage. By employing gradient-related strategies, we achieve better convergence and superior results. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method, showcasing improved reconstruction quality and computational efficiency compared to existing approaches. We validate our approach using both synthetic and real data, highlighting its practical potential

Photoproduction and Radiative Decay of Spin 1/2 and 3/2 Pentaquarks

We study photoproduction and radiative decays of pentauqarks paying particular attention to the differences between spin-1/2 and spin-3/2, positive and negative parities of pentaquarks. Detailed study of these processes can not only give crucial information about the spin, but also the parity of pentaquarks.Comment: 14 pages, 7 figure

    A Unified Quantum NOT Gate

We study the feasibility of implementing a quantum NOT gate (approximate) when the quantum state lies between two latitudes on the Bloch's sphere and present an analytical formula for the optimized 1-to-MM quantum NOT gate. Our result generalizes previous results concerning quantum NOT gate for a quantum state distributed uniformly on the whole Bloch sphere as well as the phase covariant quantum state. We have also shown that such 1-to-MM optimized NOT gate can be implemented using a sequential generation scheme via matrix product states (MPS)

p53 mutant His175 identified in a newly established fallopian tube carcinoma cell line secreting interleukin 6

AbstractFallopian tube carcinoma is a lethal gynecologic malignancy. Etiologic factors are unknown. No experimental data on molecular alterations exist so far. For an in vitro model, we established the permanent human tubal carcinoma cell line FT-MZ-1. The median doubling time was 14 days with 24.2% in S phase. A point missense mutation of the p53 tumor suppressor gene resulting in the His175 mutant was identified. Aberrant p53 protein accumulated in nucleus and cytoplasm. FT-MZ-1 substantially secreted interleukin 6 (Il-6) coinciding with the inactivation of p53 as a transrepressor on the Il-6 gene promoter

The HIF/PHF8/AR axis promotes prostate cancer progression.

Recent studies provide strong evidence that the androgen receptor (AR) signaling pathway remains active in castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). However, the underlying mechanisms are not well understood. In this study, we demonstrate that plant homeo domain finger protein 8 (PHF8 )interacts with and functions as an essential histone demethylase activity-dependent AR coactivator. Furthermore, we demonstrate that the expression of PHF8 is induced by hypoxia in various prostate cancer cell lines. Knockdown of either hypoxia-inducible factor HIF2α or HIF1α almost completely abolished hypoxia-induced PHF8 expression. Importantly, we observed that PHF8 is highly expressed in clinical androgen deprived prostate cancer samples and expression of PHF8 correlates with increased levels of HIF1α and HIF2α. Moreover, elevated PHF8 is associated with higher grade prostate cancers and unfavorable outcomes. Our findings support a working model in which hypoxia in castrated prostate cancer activates HIF transcription factors which then induces PHF8 expression. The elevated PHF8 in turn promotes the AR signaling pathway and prostate cancer progression. Therefore, the HIF/PHF8/AR axis could serve as a potential biomarker for CRPC and is also a promising therapeutic target in combating CRPC

Mapping ultrafast dynamics of highly excited D2 + by ultrashort XUV pump-IR probe radiation

An ultrashort XUV laser pulse ionizes the D2 molecule creating an electronic and nuclear wave packet, with the dominant contributions from the 2sσg and 2pπu ionic states. A delayed interaction with a 780 nm IR field ejects the second electron, leading to the Coulomb explosion of the molecule, whose nuclear fragments, recorded in coincidence, map the dynamics associated to those two ionic excited states. By varying the orientation of the light polarization, one can control the molecular dynamics by modifying the ratio between the ionic states. Experimental and ab initio theoretical data are jointly reporte
