Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) can make a huge different in plant sector. Maintenance with support of good RAM analysis can help in reducing the system unavailability and its effect. For this project, RAM analysis will be done using Reliability Block Diagram (RBD) technique. The data involve will the time to failure and time to repair data. The analysis can help to identify critical component that can affect the whole system reliability. From that, further planning in term of maintenance and improvement can be done. With a good modeling and analysis, it is possible to make availability improvement. The research will be based on the Dehydration Unit (DHU) of a Gas Processing Plant (GPP). DHU is essential in a GPP to remove water from then natural gas. If the water is not being removed, it will affect the transmission and the processing of the gas

The research is focusing on the “Factor Contributing to Customer Satisfaction towards Anika Insurance Broker”. Even though the Anika Insurance Broker already establish since 1969, they still not get 100% customer satisfaction. The research is done to identify the factor contribute to customer satisfaction towards Anika Insurance Broker Sdn Bhd. The independent variable for this research is knowledge of the product, competitive edge, fulfilling customer need and experience in term of insurance. The research was conducted in Kuala Lumpur area and 30 questionnaires were distributed to clients that use Anika Insurance Broker service around the Kuala Lumpur area. The researcher use primary and secondary data in order to obtain the data. Data analyzed using the reliability test, descriptive statistics and backward elimination. Based on the analysis, the result showed that knowledge of the product is the most contributing factor when it comes to customer satisfaction towards Anika Insurance Broker Sdn Bhd

Market timing and capital structure: Malaysian evidence

This paper is to examines whether the market-timing are found to be relevant in Malaysian firms financing decision. Limited studies have been conducted in the emerging or developing country such as Malaysia. Thus, this study have two objectives to be achieve in this study which are (1) to identify the determinants of the change in book leverage based the market-to-book, profitability, asset tangibility, and size, (2) to seek whether the financing decision in Malaysian firms were mostly made through net equity issues as implied by the market timing theory. In the descriptive analysis show one notable finding is when the mean of net equity issues increases at IPO+5 associated with decreasing mean of book leverage and market leverage. The determinants support most of the past studies in market timing. Thereby, this study found an indicator or sign that Malaysian firms follow the market timing behavior, yet not conclusive

TEACHER CREATIVITY EFFORTS IN PROVIDING LEARNING MEDIA AT STATE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 2 “YOUTH VOCATIONAL” IN ACEH TAMIANG

This study aims to determine the extent of the efforts made by teachers in preparing learning media in Aceh Tamiang State Senior High School 2 “Youth Vocational”. This research is a quantitative study that analyzes data using quantitative formulas. Data is taken from all teachers in the school and then mathematically analyzed which can be justified academically. The results of this study indicate that there is no influence of teacher creativity on media learning in State Senior High School 2 of Youth Vocational in Aceh Tamiang District. This can be seen from the reality that (1) With the selection of teaching media to help teachers to deliver subject matter and help students to better understand the lessons presented. (2) With the help of students to better understand the subject matter delivered, it will be more motivating student achievement. Fabrication of micro magnetometer using flip-chip bonding

Magnetic field has been widely explored for its benefit towards todays development. In the early stage, the main concern was to develop a device that can detect magnetic field. Such device is called magnetometer. The advancement of technology has push the boundary even further, making a portable and robust magnetometer. Although the miniaturization of magnetometer has been widely researched and studied, the process however is not. Thus, the process governing the fabrication technique is studied in this paper. Conventional method of fabrication is known as surface micromachining. Besides time consuming, this method requires many consecutive steps in fabrication process and careful alignment of patterns on every layer which increase the complexity. Hence, studies are done to improve time consuming and reliability of the microfabrication process. The objective of this research include designing micro scale magnetometer and complete device fabrication processes. PENGARUH STORE ATMOSPHERE, PROMOSI, KUALITAS PELAYANAN DAN KERAGAMAN PRODUK TERHADAP LOYALITAS KONSUMEN NADA RESTO KISARAN KABUPATEN ASAHAN

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara simultan dan parsial store atmosphere, promosi, kualitas pelayanan dan keragaman produk terhadap loyalitas konsumen. Metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis data regresi linear berganda. Sampel berdasarkan metode convenience sampling yang berjumlah 96 responden. Hasil penelitian pada uji-F, nilai Fhitung (16,421) > Ftabel (2,47), artinya secara simultan store atmosphere, promosi, kualitas pelayanan dan keragaman produk berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas konsumen. Hasil uji-t, nilai thitung (5,268) > ttabel (1,986), artinya secara parsial store atmosphere berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas konsumen, nilai thitung (2,490) > ttabel (1,986), artinya secara parsial promosi berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas konsumen, nilai thitung (2,092) > ttabel (1,986), artinya secara parsial kualitas pelayanan berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas konsumen serta nilai thitung (2,616) > ttabel (1,986), artinya secara parsial keragaman produk berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas konsumen. Hasil uji-R2, nilai adjusted R square yaitu 0,394, artinya store atmosphere, promosi, kualitas pelayanan dan keragaman produk hanya mampu menjelaskan loyalitas konsumen sebesar 39,4%, sedangkan 60,6% koefisien  determinasi selebihnya dijelaskan oleh faktor-faktor lain yang tidak masuk dalam model penelitian ini. Kata Kunci: Store Atmosphere, Promosi, Kualitas Pelayanan,Keragaman Produk, Loyalitas Konsume

IDENTIFICATION OF COPPER-INDUCIBLE GENES IN SWORDTAIL FISH (Xiphophorus spp.) USING DIFFERENTIAL DISPLAY

Differential display technique was used to identify differentially expressed gene ofswordtail fish (Xiphophorus spp.) that induced by 1 µg/ml copper for 24 hours. From eightprimers that have been used for differential display, seven of them showed the differentialgenes which were not present in the control. The reamplification of these fragments rangingfrom below 100 to 200 bp. But only two fragments were successfully cloned and sequenced,those are H-AP10 and H-AP11. Sequence analysis showed that both of the sequences revealedhigh similarity with Homo sapiens stress-associated endoplasmic reticulum protein, a signalgenerated that induces apoptosis.Keywords: differential display, swordtail fish, copper pollution, mRNA expression, biomarker

Lecturers’ commitment and students’ academic achievement: Viewed from teaching evaluation result

The purpose of this research is to measure the relevance of the Teaching Evaluation Result (TER) as a tool in evaluating the commitment of the lecturers in delivering the course taught.The TER questionnaires should be evaluated from time to time to ensure the quality, reliability and the applicability of each questions represented the commitment of lecturer.The respondents are foundation students (N=433) together with a total of 4 lecturers teaching the surveyed 7 courses. Students’ academic achievement evaluated from their final exam grades and the students are comprised of 85% Indian, 10% Malay and 5% Chinese.Surprisingly, the finding stated that there are more than 30% of the students who have obtained a grade of A- and better, the TER was < 80%.At the same token10% of the students who have secured a grade of A- and better, the TER was � 80%.This indicates that a high TER score does not guarantee that the students will perform well academically even though their lecturers give a full commitment.The mean scores of at least two groups of courses are significantly different at � = 0.05 level and the mean score of the grades of at least two groups of lecturers are significantly different at � = 0.05 level.Thus, the method of Kolmogorov-Smirnov was used to obtain the existence of normality.The results indicated that all of the variables are generally not normally distributed even at a significant level of � = 0.01.Therefore, it was found that 13 out of 17 of TER questionnaires to be significant at � = 0.01 and 3 out of 17 TER questionnaires to be significant at � = 0.05. However, 1 out of 17 of the questionnaires is not significant.Conclusion, the finding helps the management of the university on the relevance of TER used to measure the lecturer’s commitment.However, due to the limitation and the unavailability of matching each student TER towards each lecturers, therefore, the results presented herein is weakly conclusive.It is recommended that future research to incorporate the matching of students TER be made with the lecturers to obtain reliable and conclusive result
