Because of the tightened electricity market law, network companies have made significant investments in the electricity distribution system to improve the reliability of distribution. These investments have also positively reflected on the labor market. Knowledge of different design software is today an important skill that has also been taken into account in education.
JAMK University of Applied Sciences is introducing the Trimble NIS network information system, which is used in nationwide by Finnish network companies and contractors. The aim was to produce teaching materials related to the use of the software. To survey what the lessons should cover, companies in the field of network design in Central Finland were sent a questionnaire.
In this research, the network design theory was familiarized with, and the use of software was studied in practice. Video tutorials were created to ease the learning process of the software. The videos consisted of basic use of the program and dimensioning examples.
The videos make it much easier for the new user to learn the use of the software since the network information systems present extensive and complex design software. There is hardly any material or educational video available for the program except for service providers

Fuzzy Privatization and Decline of Democracy at the University of Helsinki
Privatization is often used as a self-evident concept, overlapping with corporatization, marketization, commodification and neoliberalization. Our analysis, focusing on changes in the legal status and decisionmaking procedures at the University of Helsinki, explores the fuzzy nature of privatization. One of our claims is that the fuzziness helped prevent efficient resistance and therefore also enabled less democratic forms of governance. We will explore the ambiguous nature of the privatization process. We will analyze argumentative strategies about the reforms, focusing on explicit and implicit references to the processes of privatization and corporatization. The role of fuzziness became less important once privatization had taken crucial steps. At that moment, the argument that in some important sense the university had become part of the sphere of private economy became a justification for transforming the decision-making system of the university. References to the university being increasingly private, financially autonomous, and economically responsible become justificatory tools for dismantling democratic elements of the university’s decision-making system. We will also analyPeer reviewe

Human apoB contributes to increased serum total apo(a) level in LPA transgenic mice
Background
The Lp(a) lipoprotein (Lp(a)) consists of the polymorphic glycoprotein apolipoprotein(a) (apo(a)), which is attached by a disulfide bond to apolipoprotein B (apoB). Apo(a), which has high homology with plasminogen, is present only in primates and hedgehogs. However, transgenic mice and rabbits with high serum apo(a) levels exist. Liver is the main site for apo(a) synthesis, but the site of removal is uncertain. To examine differences between transgenic mice expressing the LPA gene and mice capable of forming Lp(a) particles, LPA -YAC transgenic mice and hAPOB transgenic mice were crossed and their offspring examined.
Results
Comparison of LPA -YAC with LPA -YAC/hAPOB transgenic mice showed that LPA -YAC/hAPOB transgenic mice have higher serum total apo(a) and total cholesterol level than mice lacking the hAPOB gene. However, hepatic apo(a) mRNA level was higher in LPA -YAC transgenic mice than in LPA -YAC/hAPOB transgenic mice. Feeding of a high-cholesterol/high-fat diet to male LPA -YAC transgenic mice with or without the hAPOB gene resulted in reduced serum total apo(a) and hepatic apo(a) mRNA level.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the higher serum total apo(a) level in LPA -YAC/hAPOB transgenic mice than in LPA -YAC transgenic mice is not caused by increased apo(a) synthesis. Lower hepatic apo(a) mRNA level in LPA -YAC/hAPOB than in LPA -YAC transgenic mice may suggest that the increase in total apo(a) level is a result of apo(a) accumulation in serum. Furthermore, observed higher serum total cholesterol level in LPA -YAC/hAPOB transgenic mice than either in wild type or LPA -YAC transgenic mice may further suggest that human APOB transgenicity is a factor that contributes to increased serum total apo(a) and cholesterol levels. Our results on reduced serum total apo(a) and hepatic apo(a) mRNA levels in HCHF fed male LPA -YAC transgenic mice confirm earlier findings in females, and show that there are no sex difference in mechanisms for lowering apo(a) level in response to HCHF feeding
