Effect of high hydrostatic pressure freezing on the quality of organic poultry meat
Porastom tlaka rastu L*, a* i b* vrijednosti. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of high hydrostatic pressure freezing on the quality of organic poultry meat. Fresh fillets of chicken breasts were treated with high hydrostatic pressure (150 MPa/30 min and 250 MPa/60 min) at -20 Ā°C. Drip loss, moisture uptake, cooking yield and color and texture of organic chicken meat were determined. The results show that high pressure freezing treatment did not have a significant effect on drip loss. Higher pressure causes smaller drip loss than lower pressure or conventional freezing methods. By increasing pressure moisture uptake and cooking yield are reduced. Increasing pressure increases L*, a* and b* values. Increasing pressure increases hardness, elasticity and work for mastication of treated organic chicken meat
Pony breeding in Croatia
In 2003 an intensive registration of ponies was started in the Croatian Livestock Center which resulted in a significant inĀ¬crease of the number of ponies in the central register of the RepĀ¬ublic of Croatia. The population of the Croatian pony is phenotipically and genetically rather diverse and by the exterior characĀ¬teristics very similar to the Shetland pony. To a smaller degree there are characteristics of other pony breeds. By gender, all body measurements are insignificantly higher in females except for significantly bigger long bone circumference in stallions (P < 0.05). Comparing body indexes per gender only significantly higher boniness has been determined in stallions in relation to females (P < 0.05). By withers height (99.94 cm) pony population in the Republic of Croatia can be classified in the group of small ponies
Breeding systematization of autochthonous horse breed Croatia posavac
Breeding area is the area of the SisaÄko-moslavaÄka county and a part of ZagrebaÄka county. With a goal of getting more data about breeding so that the breeding program would be successfully conducted, in 2004 the breeding systematization of autochthonous horse breed Croatian posavac has begun. In the line forming, only registered females were taken into consideration. The result of systematization is forming of 726 female lines with great variation in the numbers of mares by the line (2 to 37). Numerously biggest mare line with 37 heads is P97, while even 265 lines counts only 2 mares. The average size of progeny groups of registrated mares by the stallion was 9,4 with variation range from 1 to 61 mare daughter. As the sires of registrated mares there were 484 stallions, from which 228 were registrated (20%) and 256 sires were known only by the name (22%). 655 mares (58%) were registrated wihtout known ancestry by father side
Usporedba stavova i znanja o cijepljenju protiv bolesti COVID-19 studenata Medicinskog fakulteta u Splitu i lijeÄnika obiteljske medicine Splitsko-dalmatinske županije
studenata medicine i lijeÄnika obiteljske medicine u Splitsko-dalmatinskoj županiji.
Prikupljeni
nego studenata (P=0,006). Iako u procijepljenosti izmeÄu studenata i lijeÄnika nema statistiÄki znaÄajne
razlike, ona je pronaÄena izmeÄu studenata pretkliniÄkih i kliniÄkih godina studija (P=0,005). Udio
zaraznih bolesti

IS THERE A DIFFERENCE IN ATTITUDES TOWARDS VACCINATION AGAINST COVID 19 BETWEEN MEDICAL STUDENTS AND FAMILY MEDICINE DOCTORS IN SPLIT-DALMATIA COUNTY?
Objectives: The main aim of research was to find out are there any differences in attitudes towards vaccination against COVID-19.
Subjects and Methods: Cross-sectional research was conducted in which participated 176 medical students and 100 family medicine doctors. Attitudes and other data of interest was obtained through a survey questionnaire using Google Forms application. The research was conducted through July of year 2021. Data analysis was performed in STATISTICA 14 and Python.
Results: Significantly more students thought that they gained enough information about COVID-19, through school programs (P=0.040), while significantly more doctors thought that they gained enough information about COVID-19 vaccine in their work place (P <0.001). Positive attitude towards all COVID-19 vaccines had significantly (P=0.038) more doctors than students. The family medicine doctors are more worried about their health in the times of global pandemic (P<0.001). Significantly more doctors, than students, think that implemented organization of vaccination against COVID-19 was satisfactory (P=0.006). Although there is no statistically significant difference between students and doctors who have already gotten the COVID-19 vaccine, it was found between students of preclinical and clinical years of study (P=0.005). The proportion of vaccinated against COVID-19 is higher amongst students of clinical years of study (67%). Also, it was found, with a statistically significant difference that those who were vaccinated against flu are more willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19 (P=0.001) and that significantly more doctors, than students, decided to take flu vaccine this or previous seasons (P<0.001).
Conclusions: This study showed that attitudes about vaccination in general did not differ between medical students and family medicine doctors, and those doctors have more positive attitude towards all COVID-19 vaccines. Medical professionals should primarily have positive attitudes about vaccination against COVID-19 in order to be an example to the rest of the populatio
