Social constructs in predicting corruptive attitudes and behavior from the theory of planned behavior perspective
Purpose: This research examines the attitude and behavior of corruption/fraud using the social construct, the theory of fraud triangle, Theory of Planned Behavior, and social psychology. Design/methodology/approach: The quantitative approach in this study was carried out by collecting survey data using a questionnaire instrument directly applied to 400 respondents in some cities in Indonesia. The analysis is conducted with SPSS, Wrap-PLS and Structural Equation Models (SEM). Findings: The results show that the attitude and corrupt behavior of the community can be influenced by the existence of social values in the form of community habits and community mindset that is reflected in the social construct variables. Practical implications: The study underlines the importance of corruption eradication, especially in public services and public education to avoid corrupt behavior. Originality/value: The examination was done by paying more attention to the possible effect of social construction on attitudes, subjective norms, and control of individual or group behavior, which in turn affect the intention to commit corruption.peer-reviewe
Inelastic diffractive scattering in nonperturbative QCD
We examine diffractive proton-proton scattering p p -> p X and photo- and
electroproduction of \rho^0 mesons \gamma^(*) p -> \rho^0 X, where X denotes a
proton or a final state, into which the proton can go by diffractive
dissociation. Using a functional integral approach we derive the scattering
amplitudes, which are governed by the expectation values of light-like
Wegner-Wilson loops, which are then evaluated using the model of the stochastic
vacuum. For the proton, we assume a quark-diquark structure. From the
scattering amplitudes we calculate total and differential cross sections for
high centre of mass energy and small momentum transfer and compare with
experiments. Furthermore we calculate isovector form factors for the proton and

Symbiopsychotaxiplasm: Take X-4
Symbiopsychotaxiplasm: Take X-4 is a zine that analyzes and responds to William Greavesâs 1968 experimental documentary film titled Symbiopscyhotaxiplasm: Take One, in which Greaves performs the role of a bad director in order to compel his film crew into rebelling against him. As a Civil Rights Activist, Greaves was interested in exploring the relationship between authority figures and the oppressed, particularly how this dynamic operates on a film set. The film consists of three channels of footage: the fictional script being filmed; footage of the film being filmed; and footage of everything else occurring on the set. The fictional channel consists of a pair of actors performing the same, awful dialogue between Freddie and Alice. The film crew and audience remain unaware that Greaves intended for the bad script and multi-channel action to frustrate and provoke the crew and audience. The film crew ultimately rebels against their director, by stealing film equipment to film their own conversations about Greaves and his lack of adequate direction.
X-4 is designed to represent and address the various themes of the film in printed form and address the various themes of the film. My own personal response to the film is also incorporated in X-4, to mirror the film crewâs recording of their private reactions to Greaves and the film, and as a response to Greavesâs insistence that everyone should express their opinion on how structures of power operate in society. X-4 is a zine that currently exists in a printed run of 50 copies and is distributed for free
Momentum-resolved study of the saturation intensity in multiple ionization
We present a momentum-resolved study of strong field multiple ionization of
ionic targets. Using a deconvolution method we are able to reconstruct the
electron momenta from the ion momentum distributions after multiple ionization
up to four sequential ionization steps. This technique allows an accurate
determination of the saturation intensity as well as of the electron release
times during the laser pulse. The measured results are discussed in comparison
to typically used models of over-the-barrier ionization and tunnel ionization

The apostle Paul has been justifiably described as the first and greatest Christian theologian. After his âcallingâ as a missionary of the Gospel and Jesus' apostle, Paul builds all of his theologies based upon Christ. He âchristologizesâ his theologies. Since the beginning Paul has always been an uncomfortable and controversial figure in the history of Christianity. The accusation against the prophet Elijah by Israel's King Ahab, âyou troubler of Israel' (1 Ks. 18:17), could be levelled against Paul more fittingly than any other of the first Christians. Marcion, Irenaeus, Tertullian and Valentinus in the second century are only few examples of how his theologies can become controversial subjects. In fact until now Paul's theologies have remained one of the most disputable subjects in Christian theology either for Christians themselves or non-Christian believers

The lamentation of Job (Job 31:35) needed to be answered by God, whom Job considered extremely unjust by causing great sufferings into his life. His three closed friends (Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar) were rather his enemies in defending the traditional thesis of retribution. Although he pleaded against God, he found no answer from God. In his desperation, finally, Job appealed to a legal metaphor against God, and in this moment Elihu appeared as an arbiter, who presupposed to judge Job in God\u27s stead, and tried to respond to Job\u27s requests in judicial style. Elihu tried to convince Job that God did hear his lamentation and answered him. Only Job could not hear it, since God was greater than human beings and He answered in unpredictable ways, in this case He was talking âthrough dreamsâ as âa divine revelationâ. Dream was God\u27s effort to turn Job from wrongful deeds or pride (Job\u27s arrogance in assuming complete integrity before God). It tended to warn Job to change his attitude into a faithful life

Secondary acute lymphoblastic leukemia is a distinct clinical entity with prognostic significance.
The effect of prior malignancy on the risk of developing, and prognosis of, acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is unknown. This observational study utilized the California Cancer Registry to estimate the risk of developing ALL after a prior malignancy using standardized incidence ratios (SIRs, 95% confidence intervals). ALL occurring after a malignancy with an SIR>1 (increased-risk (IR) malignancies) was considered secondary ALL (s-ALL). Adjusted hazard ratios (aHRs, 95% confidence intervals) compared the effect of s-ALL with de novo ALL on overall survival. A total of 14â481 patients with ALL were identified (1988-2012) and 382 (3%) had a known prior malignancy. Any prior malignancy predisposed patients to developing ALL: SIR 1.62 (1.45-1.79). Hematologic malignancies (SIR 5.57, 4.38-6.98) and IR-solid tumors (SIR 2.11, 1.73-2.54) increased the risk of developing ALL. s-ALL increased the risk of death compared with de novo ALL (aHR 1.38 (1.16-1.63)) and this effect was more pronounced among younger patients (age<40 years: aHR 4.80 (3.15-7.30); ageâ©Ÿ40 years: aHR 1.40 (1.16-1.69)) (interaction P<0.001). This population-based study demonstrates that s-ALL is a distinct entity that occurs after specific malignancies and carries a poor prognosis compared with de novo ALL, particularly among patients <40 years of age
Correlated ab-initio calculations for ground-state properties of II-VI semiconductors
Correlated ab-initio ground-state calculations, using relativistic
energy-consistent pseudopotentials, are performed for six II-VI semiconductors.
Valence () correlations are evaluated using the coupled cluster approach
with single and double excitations. An incremental scheme is applied based on
correlation contributions of localized bond orbitals and of pairs and triples
of such bonds. In view of the high polarity of the bonds in II-VI compounds, we
examine both, ionic and covalent embedding schemes for the calculation of
individual bond increments. Also, a partitioning of the correlation energy
according to local ionic increments is tested. Core-valence ()
correlation effects are taken into account via a core-polarization potential.
Combining the results at the correlated level with corresponding Hartree-Fock
data we recover about 94% of the experimental cohesive energies; lattice
constants are accurate to \sim 1%; bulk moduli are on average 10% too large
