Observing Nucleon Decay in Lead Perchlorate
Lead perchlorate, part of the OMNIS supernova neutrino detector, contains two
nuclei, 208Pb and 35Cl, that might be used to study nucleon decay. Both would
produce signatures that will make them especially useful for studying
less-well-studied neutron decay modes, e.g., those in which only neutrinos are
emitted.Comment: 6 pages, 2 figure
An Automatic Invisible Axion In The SUSY Preon Model
It is shown that the recently proposed preon model which provides a unified
origin of the diverse mass scale and an explanation of family replication as
well as of inter-family mass-hierarchy, possesses a Peccei-Quinn symmetry whose
spontaneous breaking leads to an automatic invisible axion. Existence of the
PQ-symmetry is simply a consequence of supersymmetry and requirement of
minimality in the field-content and interactions, which propose that the
lagrangian should possess only those terms which are dictated by the gauge
principle and no others. In addition to the axion, the model also generates two
superlight Goldstone bosons and their superpartners which are cosmologically
safe.Comment: (TeX file) 16 Page
Quark Mixings in and Suppression of
The quark mixing matrix is studied in depth on the basis of
superstring inspired model with global flavor symmetries.
The sizable mixings between right-handed down-type quark and colored
Higgs field potentially occur but no such mixings in up-type quark
sector. In the model the hierarchical pattern of is understood
systematically. It is shown that due to large - mixings is
naturally suppressed compared to . It is pointed out that the observed
suppression of is in favor of the presence of gauge symmetry
but not in accord with generic SU(5) GUT.Comment: 10pages with no figure, Latex fil
Optimal Controlled Teleportation
We give the analytic expressions of maximal probabilities of successfully
controlled teleportating an unknown qubit via every kind of tripartite states.
Besides, another kind of localizable entanglement is also determined.
Furthermore, we give the sufficient and necessary condition that a three-qubit
state can be collapsed to an EPR pair by a measurement on one qubit, and
characterize the three-qubit states that can be used as quantum channel for
controlled teleporting a qubit of unknown information with unit probability and
with unit fidelity.Comment: 4 page
Ground State Property of an Alternating Spin Ladder Involving Two Kinds of Inter-Chain Interactions
The ground state property of the alternating spin ladder is studied in the
case that the system involves an antiferromagnetic intra-chain interaction as
well as two kinds of inter-chain interactions; one is between spins of the same
magnitude and the other is between spins with different magnitudes. The
calculation has been carried out by the exact diagonalization method. As a
consequence of the competition among interactions, the system is revealed to
show an interesting variety of phases in the ground state property. Its phase
diagram is exhibited in the parameter space of the system. We find that,
however small the total amount of the inter-chain interactions is, the
ferrimagnetic ground state becomes unstable in a certain region. In this case,
which of the ferrimagnetic and the singlet ground state to appear is determined
only by the ratio between the inter-chain interactions regardless of their
total amount. The nature of two phases appearing in the singlet region of the
phase diagram and the type of the phase transition between them are also
discussed. The results are ensured by comparing with those of obtained in other
models which are contained in our model as special limiting cases.Comment: 12 pages, 9 PostScript figure
A comparative study of the phase diagrams of spin- and spin- antiferromagnetic chains with dimerization and frustration
We use the density matrix renormalization group method to study the ground
state `phase' diagram and some low-energy properties of isotropic
antiferromagnetic spin- and spin- chains with a next-nearest
neighbor exchange and an alternation of the nearest neighbor
exchanges. In the spin- chain, the system is gapless for
and , and is gapped everywhere else in the
plane. At , for small , the gap increases as ,
where . is a disorder line. To
the left of this line, the structure factor peaks at
(Neel `phase'), while to the right, decreases from to
(spiral `phase') as increases. There is also a ` phase' for large values of both and . In
the spin- case, we find a line running from a gapless point at upto a `gapless' point at
such that the open chain ground state is four-fold degenerate below the line
and is unique above it. There is a disorder line in this case also and it has
the same equation as in the spin- case, but the line ends at about
. Similar to the spin- case, to the left of this
line, the peak in the structure factor is at (Neel `phase'), while to the
right of the line, it is at less than (spiral `phase'). For ,
the system corresponds to a spin ladder and the system is gapped for all values
of the interchain coupling for both spin- and spin- ladders.Comment: 16 pages in latex; 9 figures available on reques
Non SUSY Unification in Left-Right Models
We explore in a model independent way the possibility of achieving the non
supersymmetric gauge coupling unification within left-right symmetric models,
with the minimal particle content at the left-right mass scale which could be
as low as 1 TeV in a variety of models, and with a unification scale M in the
range GeV GeV.Comment: 18 pages, Latex file, uses epsf style, four figures. Submitted for

Towards String Predictions
The aim of superstring phenomenology is to develop the tools and methodology
needed to confront string theory with experimental data. The first mandatory
task is to find string solutions which reproduce the observable data. The
subsequent goal is to extract potential signatures beyond the observable data.
Recently, by studying exact flat directions of non-Abelian singlet fields, we
demonstrated the existence of free fermionic heterotic-string models in which
the -charged matter spectrum, just below the
string scale, consists solely of the MSSM spectrum. In this paper we study the
possibility that the exact flat directions leave a symmetry
unbroken at the Planck scale. We demonstrate in a specific example that such
unbroken is in general expected to be not of the GUT type but
of intrinsic stringy origin. We study its phenomenological characteristics and
the consequences in the case that remains unbroken down to
low energies. We suggest that observation in forthcoming colliders of a
, with universal couplings for the two light generations but
different couplings for the heavy generation may provide evidence for the
orbifold which underlies the free fermionic models.Comment: 18 pages. Standard Latex. References adde

Kata kunci : Kepemimpinan, Pandemi Covid-19  ABSTRACTFacing the problem of the spread of covid 19 that is happening now, the community needs a capable leadership role in overcoming the ignorance of some people towards the application of health protocols. This is also the case with Amongena 3 village, where there are still people who do not implement health protocols in accordance with the recommendations of the central government. Using a qualitative method (Juliansyah Noor, 2012) this study will examine the leadership of the Village Head in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic in Amongena 3 Village, East Langowan District, Minahasa Regency. The role of leadership will be studied using the approach proposed by George R. Terry (in Toha, 2007) about leadership. The research findings illustrate that in influencing the community to implement health protocols in accordance with government recommendations that have been set, the Old Law is experiencing obstacles to the lack of public awareness about the dangers of the covid-19 virus. The village government is trying to make the village community obey the existing health protocols so that the Covid-19 virus does not spread in the Amongena village 3. If you look at the leadership of the Old Law, it seems quite good, in terms of motivating the behavior of the Amongena village community, the village head applies steps that must be obeyed by the village community. Amongena 3 village community so that the community is protected from exposure to the Covid-19 virus and the Covid-19 virus does not spread in Amongena 3 village. In addition, the Old Law strives to always give announcements both on loudspeakers and happy and sad events in Amongena 3 village in order to influencing the community to apply health protocols in all activities that will be carried out in order to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the village of Amongena 3. Keywords: Leadership, Covid-19 Pandemi
