Nahm transformation for parabolic Higgs bundles on the projective line - case of non-semisimple residues
We extend our earlier construction of Nahm transformation for parabolic Higgs
bundles on the projective line to solutions with not necessarily semisimple
residues and show that it determines a holomorphic mapping on corresponding
moduli spaces. The construction relies on suitable elementary modifications of
the logarithmic Dolbeault complex.Comment: 15 pages, submitted to the proceedings of the Warwick EPSRC

The birational geometry of unramified irregular Higgs bundles on curves
We give a variant of the Beauville-Narasimhan-Ramanan correspondence for irregular parabolic Higgs bundles on smooth projective curves with fixed semi-simple irregular part and show that it defines a Poisson isomorphism between certain irregular Dolbeault moduli spaces and relative Picard bundles of families of ruled surfaces over the curve
Hitchin Fibrations on Two-Dimensional Moduli Spaces of Irregular Higgs Bundles with One Singular Fiber
We analyze and completely describe the four cases when the Hitchin fibration
on a -dimensional moduli space of irregular Higgs bundles over
has a single singular fiber. The case when the fiber at
infinity is of type is further analyzed, and we give constructions of
all the possible configurations of singular curves inelliptic fibrations having
this type of singular fiber at infinity

Identifying lithological features using morphometric parameters derived from DEM | Litológiai tulajdonságok azonosítása DTM-b l származtatott morfometriai paraméterek alapján
The study focuses on the identification of lithologi
cal features based on morphometric variables derive
d from a 25x25m/pixel
resolution DEM of the Bükk Mts., N-Hungary. Statist
ical methods using SPSS were applied to evaluate a
database containing 20 million
data in order to promote the cost-effectiveness of
geological mapping. Using IDRISI software the deriv
ed morphometric parameters were
altitude above base level (m), distance from base l
evel (m), slope steepness (in degrees), slope aspec
t, runoff and costpush. Using TAS and
SAGA softwares additional variables were chosen as
sediment transport rate, wetness index, altitude ab
ove channel network. We
investigated whether geological features (rock type,
rock strength, resistance) can be identified or me
asured from these morphometric
parameters. The reliability of the 3 softwares in t
his process was also tested, while the most sensitiv
e morphometric parameters referring
to geology were also identified. To test our hypothes
is a control area with known geological background
was selected, and the
reclassification of data was carried out. Using IDR
ISI 70% of the pixels was successfully regrouped in
to the original rock type using
morphometric data, while TAS and SAGA-type variable
s resulted more than 66%. Using correlation matrice
s some elements of surface
evolution were also traced emphasising the differen
ces between rock types. | Tanulmányunkban k
