PRESENT STATUS OF WORKERS IN READY-MADE GARMENTS INDUSTRIES IN BANGLADESH
The Ready Made Garment (RMG) industry has been placed the largest export earnings of Bangladesh where more than 5000 garment factories are running, employing over 4 million people of which more than 80% workers are women. RMG industry is considered as the back bone of the country’s economy-The main strength of RMG sector in Bangladesh is poorly paid garment workers. This article depicts the wages level, age group, gender, family life and working hours of workers in RMG industries in Bangladesh. It is notable that the living situation of garments workers may change last couple of years. Nowadays their children also go to school & they can serve their old parents. Already government fixed the minimum wages for their better standard of living. Though it is not sufficient but it is improving

COMPARATIVE STUDY ON RING, ROTOR AND AIR-JET SPUN YARN
Although ring spinning is the universal spinning system but main limitation of this system is its limited spindle speed which causes lower production rate. Now-a-days spinners are trying to finding out various alternative spinning systems among which only rotor and air-jet has established market value. So it is very important for spinners to find out a suitable one according to end use and others economic aspects. Ring, Rotor and Air-jet spinning systems provide yarn with different structures and properties. Each system has its advantages and limitations in terms of technical feasibility and economic viability. We have produced 20's Ne, 100% cotton yarn from the above systems and their properties are tested by UT5 and lea strength tester. The main object of the project is to study the yarn properties (Um%, CVm%, Imperfection, Hairiness etc) of ring, rotor and air-jet spun yarn and compare among them. We observed how yarn properties are changed with the change of process. We analyzed the various yarn properties by the graphical representation

Nanotechnology for high-performance textiles: A promising frontier for innovation
Nanotechnology embodies a groundbreaking innovation for the textile and apparel industry, facilitating enhancements to the functionality and performance of textiles, including durability, resistance to water, odor, flame, stain, UV-protection, and antimicrobial properties. Nanotechnology also enables biosensing, drug delivery, energy generation, and storage in textiles. Here, we present a comprehensive overview of the possibilities offered by nanotechnology in the context of high-performance textiles providing a roadmap for future research and development in this exciting field. We scrutinize the current research on nanotechnology in textiles, exploring various types of nanomaterials and their properties, the methods of incorporating nanomaterials into textiles, and the numerous applications of high-performance textiles across critical industries such as healthcare, military, sports, fashion, and wearable electronics. We conclude the review with an analysis of the potential health and environmental concerns arising from the use of nanotechnology in textiles, emphasizing the importance of further research in these areas

Effect of Sewing Thread Linear Density on Apparel Seam Strength: A research on Lapped & Superimposed seam
This 21st century can be named as the golden era of fashion market although fashion moves by cycle. Most of the human being is very much cautious about the fashion now-a-days. Some advanced critical processes have been emerged to mitigate this enhancing demand. Besides there are so many fashion raw materials used to make these fashion garments/apparels. These raw materials have a great contribution on the apparel performance. Seam is one of the major parts of garments. In this research, it would be identified how sewing thread linear density affects the seam performances. It is a comparative research work which will deliver very effective knowledge about various types of seam, seam strength and seam performance. For this research many sample seam parts have been made and after that all samples have tested in a woven dyeing laboratory of a renowned textile industry named Thermax Ltd
Implementing a total quality management approach in the garments industry
Rapid developments in international competition have obliged textile enterprises to take new approaches in order to gain a competitive advantage. The limits of acceptable quality levels for the enterprises have fallen back down to critical points due to the effects of liberal policies in international markets. Total Quality Management (TQM) keeps vital role in improving productivity, product quality and reduces manufacturing cost by reducing rework and scrape. TQM method has a great applicability in RMG sector. As RMG sector is the largest industrial sector of Bangladesh, Product Quality improvement can play a vital role in opening the doors of great opportunities for the country. To perform this study we take help of the tools of TQM such as Flow chart, Check sheet, Histogram, Pareto Chart, Scatter Diagram, Control Chart, Cause and effect diagram from various garment industries of Bangladesh to analyse collected data which were collected through observation method and it is found that a significant amount of rework and scrape per style, per month has minimized by applying this method. Implementing Total quality control applications are gaining in importance because the textile & apparel sector is a sector in which consumer expectations and preferences are of primary importance
Carbon nanotubes in carbon/epoxy multiscale textile preform composites: A review
Carbon nanotube integrated textile structural composites are one of the demanded materials especially for space/aerospace and defense industries in the 21st century due to their better damage tolerance properties compared to the metal and ceramics. This review paper exclusively performed on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) added carbon fiber/epoxy multiscale composites, including recent innovative methods of integrating CNTs to carbon filaments using the direct method such as growing on fiber, chemical grafting, and nanostitching or indirect methods such as mixing with matrix and application via lay-up and dip coating. In addition, various composite fabrication techniques, including vacuum bag molding, resin transfer molding, and resin film infusion molding techniques were discussed. Critical thermo-mechanical and electrical properties considering numerous micromechanics based composite modeling and computational analysis were explained. The review concludes that CNTs added carbon fiber/epoxy multiscale composites possess considerable potential in the use of advanced nanocomposites applications
