    Study of the use of biologically active additives in the cultivation of amber trout

    The object of the research was amber trout. The growth, development of fish, and the morphological composition of fish were studied. Gross weight gain of trout when fed with additives containing glycerin and milt increased by 12.7 - 18.2%. The condition factor of trout in the control was 1.74. In the groups receiving feed additives, the coefficient of fatness exceeded that of the control group; in group 2, the difference was significant and amounted to 5.2%. There was a decrease in the feed ratio when using feed additives by 0.7 - 4.0%, compared to the control. The weight of the gutted carcass in all groups ranges from 77.6 to 79.7%. No pathologies were found in the internal organs of fish in all groups. In the experimental groups, bone tissue mass was greater than in the control group, in groups 2 and 3 at P<0.05, in groups 4 at P<0.01. The weight of muscle tissue in all experimental groups exceeded the control, in groups 2, 3 and 4 with significant differences at P <0.05

    New integrated system for raising poultry as a factor of increasing its productivity and metabolic status

    The article presents the results of studying the influence of a developed scheme for raising poultry, including the use of 2.0% feed additive and 10.0% feed mixture (corn extract, perlite, corn grist) + 1% selephlan on metabolic processes, growth, development, safety and functional state of the liver of broiler chickens. It has been determined that the joint use of feed additives based on grain processing products and selephlan as a part of complete feeds for broiler chickens contributes to an increase in gross and average daily live weight gain by 6.9 and 7.5%, improvement feed conversion by 1.1%. The use of selephlan made it possible to neutralize the high load on the liver caused by the highly nutritious type of feeding of poultry, maintaining its healthy structure and functional activity, helping to reduce hepatoindicative enzymes by 39.2% (ALT) and by 13.4% (AST), and also activate protein and carbohydrate metabolism throughout the entire productive rearing period, which had a beneficial effect on the growth characteristics of meat poultry and the quality of the resulting livestock products

    The influence of a new organic fertilizer based on sapropel on the results of germination of seeds of wheat, oats and mung bean

    The article describes experience in studying the effect of a new complex biofertilizer based on natural raw materials - extracts of bird droppings and sapropel, namely: humic and fulvic substances from it, nitrogen-fixing microorganism Azotobacter chroococcum, fungus–ascomycete Trichoderma viride and a source of zinc sulfur - zinc sulfate. on germination and germination energy, seeds of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum) of Tanya variety, oats (Avena sativa L.) of Valdin 765 variety and legume mash (Vigna radiata) of Tajik 1 variety. The purpose of this study was to establish a sustainable positive effect by germinating seeds of winter wheat, oats and mung bean in Petri dishes when treated with a new complex biofertilizer based on sapropel and without treatment, to track the intensity of the germination energy of seeds of these plants on the third day and germination - on the seventh day. On the seventh day of germination of winter wheat in the experimental version, the length of seedlings exceeded the control version by 9.2%. In oats, the length of sprouts in the experimental version is 13.6% longer than in the control version

    Polaron with Quadratic Electron-phonon Interaction

    We present the first numerically exact study of a polaron with quadratic coupling to the oscillator displacement, using two alternative methodological developments. Our results cover both anti-adiabatic and adiabatic regimes and the entire range of electron-phonon coupling g2g_2, from the system's stability threshold at attractive g2=−1g_2=-1 to arbitrary strong repulsion at g2≫1g_2 \gg 1. Key properties of quadratic polarons prove dramatically different from their linear counterparts. They (i) are insensitive even to large quadratic coupling except in the anti-adiabatic limit near the threshold of instability at attraction; (ii) depend only on the adiabatic ratio but are insensitive to the electron dispersion and dimension of space; (iii) feature weak lattice deformations even at the instability point. Our results are of direct relevance to properties of electrons at low densities in polar materials, including recent proposals for their superconducting states.Comment: 6 pages, 6 figures + supplemental materia

    Solutions of the Two-Dimensional Hubbard Model: Benchmarks and Results from a Wide Range of Numerical Algorithms

    Numerical results for ground-state and excited-state properties (energies, double occupancies, and Matsubara-axis self-energies) of the single-orbital Hubbard model on a two-dimensional square lattice are presented, in order to provide an assessment of our ability to compute accurate results in the thermodynamic limit. Many methods are employed, including auxiliary-field quantum Monte Carlo, bare and bold-line diagrammatic Monte Carlo, method of dual fermions, density matrix embedding theory, density matrix renormalization group, dynamical cluster approximation, diffusion Monte Carlo within a fixed-node approximation, unrestricted coupled cluster theory, and multireference projected Hartree-Fock methods. Comparison of results obtained by different methods allows for the identification of uncertainties and systematic errors. The importance of extrapolation to converged thermodynamic-limit values is emphasized. Cases where agreement between different methods is obtained establish benchmark results that may be useful in the validation of new approaches and the improvement of existing methods

    COVID-19 symptoms at hospital admission vary with age and sex: results from the ISARIC prospective multinational observational study

    Background: The ISARIC prospective multinational observational study is the largest cohort of hospitalized patients with COVID-19. We present relationships of age, sex, and nationality to presenting symptoms. Methods: International, prospective observational study of 60 109 hospitalized symptomatic patients with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 recruited from 43 countries between 30 January and 3 August 2020. Logistic regression was performed to evaluate relationships of age and sex to published COVID-19 case definitions and the most commonly reported symptoms. Results: ‘Typical’ symptoms of fever (69%), cough (68%) and shortness of breath (66%) were the most commonly reported. 92% of patients experienced at least one of these. Prevalence of typical symptoms was greatest in 30- to 60-year-olds (respectively 80, 79, 69%; at least one 95%). They were reported less frequently in children (≀ 18 years: 69, 48, 23; 85%), older adults (≄ 70 years: 61, 62, 65; 90%), and women (66, 66, 64; 90%; vs. men 71, 70, 67; 93%, each P &lt; 0.001). The most common atypical presentations under 60 years of age were nausea and vomiting and abdominal pain, and over 60 years was confusion. Regression models showed significant differences in symptoms with sex, age and country. Interpretation: This international collaboration has allowed us to report reliable symptom data from the largest cohort of patients admitted to hospital with COVID-19. Adults over 60 and children admitted to hospital with COVID-19 are less likely to present with typical symptoms. Nausea and vomiting are common atypical presentations under 30 years. Confusion is a frequent atypical presentation of COVID-19 in adults over 60 years. Women are less likely to experience typical symptoms than men
