Reframing Kurtz’s Painting: Colonial Legacies and Minority Rights in Ethnically Divided Societies
Minority rights constitute some of the most normatively and economically important human rights. Although the political science and legal literatures have proffered a number of constitutional and institutional design solutions to address the protection of minority rights, these solutions are characterized by a noticeable neglect of, and lack of sensitivity to, historical processes. This Article addresses that gap in the literature by developing a causal argument that explains diverging practices of minority rights protections as functions of colonial governments’ variegated institutional practices with respect to particular ethnic groups. Specifically, this Article argues that in instances where colonial governments politicize and institutionalize ethnic hegemony in the pre-independence period, an institutional legacy is created that leads to lower levels of minority rights protections. Conversely, a uniform treatment and depoliticization of ethnicity prior to independence ultimately minimizes ethnic cleavages post-independence and consequently causes higher levels of minority rights protections. Through a highly structured comparative historical analysis of Botswana and Ghana, this Article builds on a new and exciting research agenda that focuses on the role of long-term historio-structural and institutional influences on human rights performance and makes important empirical contributions by eschewing traditional methodologies that focus on single case studies that are largely descriptive in their analyses. Ultimately, this Article highlights both the strength of a historical approach to understanding current variations in minority rights protections and the varied institutional responses within a specific colonial government
Evaluasi Dan Pengembangan Sistem Penilaian Kinerja Pada PT Hks
Performance appraisal is a systematic, formal and evaluative description about employee's work quality to standardize an individual or team work behavior. It is an important system and process to personnel and human resource management. This research aimed to evaluate and develop existed performance appraisal system and described the process of development appraisal system of retail and marketplace. Interviews, observations, and company's documents were conducted to gather empirical information regarding the needs of developing new appraisal system. Grote's performance management strategy was used to analyze the evaluation and development which produced a new performance appraisal system and enabled to mapping employee's ability for their promotion's opinion
Pengaruh Pemberian Informasi Dan Diskusi Terstruktur Pada Perubahan Sikap Karyawan Terhadap Penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri
One of the factors causing high rates of workplace accidents is the human factor, i.e., the view that the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will cause the work discomfort and reduce the work speed so it will reduce the productivity. This attitude discourages employees to use PPE set by the company. This study was aimed to determine the effect of the provision of information and structured discussion on changes in employee attitudes towards the use of PPE. The design of experiment used in this research was multiple treatments and control with pretest, which involved two experimental groups and one control group. The first experimental group (EG1) was treated with the provision of information (academic detailing) and structured discussion. The second experimental group (EG2) received structured discussion without any provision of information. The control group (CG) was not given any treatment. The study involved 48 subjects, i.e. 16 people on EG1, 17 people on EG2, and 15 people in the CG. Statistical analysis using mixed ANOVA showed that there was a significant change in attitude towards the use of PPE (F=12.670; p0.05)

Kajian Isi Lambung Dan Pertumbuhan Ikan Tembakang (Helostoma Temminckii) Di Rawa Bawang Latak, Tulang Bawang, Lampung
Full wave propagation modelling in view to integrated ICRH wave coupling/RF sheaths modelling
RF sheaths rectification can be the reason for operational limits for Ion Cyclotron Range of Frequencies (ICRF) heating systems via impurity production or excessive heat loads. To simulate this process in realistic geometry, the Self-consistent Sheaths and Waves for Ion Cyclotron Heating (SSWICH) code is a minimal set of coupled equations that computes self-consistently wave propagation and DC plasma biasing. The present version of its wave propagation module only deals with the Slow Wave assumed to be the source of RF sheath oscillations. However the ICRF power coupling to the plasma is due to the fast wave (FW). This paper proposes to replace this one wave equation module by a full wave module in either 2D or 3D as a first step towards integrated modelling of RF sheaths and wave coupling. Since the FW is propagative in the main plasma, Perfectly Matched Layers (PMLs) adapted for plasmas were implemented at the inner side of the simulation domain to absorb outgoing waves and tested numerically with tilted BD in Cartesian geometry, by either rotating the cold magnetized plasma dielectric tensors in 2D or rotating the coordinate vector basis in 3D. The PML was further formulated in cylindrical coordinates to account for for the toroidal curvature of the plasma. Toroidal curvature itself does not seem to change much the coupling. A detailed 3D geometrical description of Tore Supra and ASDEX Upgrade (AUG) antennas was included in the coupling code. The full antenna structure was introduced, since its toroidal symmetry with respect to the septum plane is broken (FS bars, toroidal phasing, non-symmetrical structure). Reliable convergence has been obtained with the density profile up to the leading edge of antenna limiters. Parallel electric field maps have been obtained as an input for the present version of SSWICH
Pengaruh Tayangan Adegan Kekerasan Yang Nyata Terhadap Agresivitas
This research is intended to find the effects of real violence on aggressiveness. The hypothesis states that real violence shown on television will increase the aggressiveness of the viewer.
The subjects of the research were 105 soldiers from the 403rd Infantry Battalion /WP. Experimental design were used as a method the pre-test post-test two-group. Data were obtained by an adaptation of the questionnaire made by Buss & Perry (1992), physiological measurement by measuring the systolic & diastolic blood pressure, observation, and interview.
The result shows that real violence on television decreases the aggressiveness of the viewer, who is combat soldiers. The hypothesis is inconsistent with the study's result because are in military background subjects are used in violence, unlike other researches that uses civilian subjects.

Maternal Stimulation Upon Mother‐Infant Face‐to‐Face Interaction
Mother‐infant relation is very unique. Research on mother‐infant interaction has dated back in the 1970s. Stern (1971) stated that there are some characteristics of mothers when they interact with their ʺinfants. The early interaction between them later in the child’s life predicts how well is the child’s interaction with other peopl
