Loneliness and Suicidal Behavior: A Meta-Analysis

    Get PDF
Loneliness is an emotional condition that humans experience as social beings, which can be felt physically and psychologically. Loneliness can have a negative impact on mental health, e.g., causing a sense of isolation, stress, depression, and the development of suicidal tendencies. Several studies have shown variations in the correlation results between loneliness and suicidal behavior. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between loneliness and suicidal behavior across 19 studies (2015–2024) through a meta-analysis. This study used two artifacts, namely sampling and measurement errors. The results of the meta-analysis based on sampling error resulted in a correlation of 0.45, and a correlation of 0.51 was found when accounting for measurement error. The magnitude of the correlation indicates a moderate relationship. Positive correlation results suggest that loneliness can contribute to the emergence of suicidal behavior

Scroll, Tap, Repeat: Habitus Digital sebagai Petualangan Identitas dalam Dunia Virtual

    Get PDF

Fraction Understanding in Children: Bibliometric Analysis

    Get PDF
This study used a bibliometric analysis approach to investigate the literature on children’s development of fraction understanding. Fraction understanding is crucial in early mathematics education because it is the foundation for more advanced concepts. Bibliometric analysis gives a comprehensive data-driven assessment of research trends, significant contributors, and emerging themes in this field. The data were sourced from the Scopus journal database, encompassing 228 articles from 1975 to 2023. Analytical and visualization tools, including VOS Viewer and the Bibliometrix R-Package, were utilized to map connections among journals, authors, countries/regions, and keywords. The findings indicated a trend of increasing publication volume over the past 15 years, with a yearly growth in articles on this topic. Keyword analysis revealed that, within these publications, “fraction” was the most frequently encountered term, followed by “mathematics” and “decimals”. Moreover, there has been a shift in research focus from studying the challenges in conceptual understanding of fractions among children to investigating alternative interventions designed to address these challenges. This study is a foundational reference for future research on the progression of fraction understanding in children

Pencitraan Otak Dengan Diffusion Tensor Imaging Dalam Riset Psikologi Menggunakan Tract Based Spatial Statistics

    Get PDF

Child Marriage in Health Psychology: A Narrative Literature Review

    Get PDF
Child marriage is a public health concern that significantly affects the physical, mental, and social well-being of adolescent girls. While prevention strategies often target structural factors, such as poverty and education, they tend to overlook the psychological influences underlying early marriage decisions. This study explored child marriage from a health psychology perspective, using the theory of planned behavior (TPB) as the primary analytical framework. A narrative literature review was conducted by analyzing 26 peer-reviewed articles published from 2016 to 2025. The findings revealed that permissive attitudes toward early marriage, strong social pressure, and low perceived behavioral control are key contributors to the persistence of the child marriage phenomenon. The consequences include adolescent pregnancy, childbirth complications, gender-based violence, and mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety. These insights underscore the importance of TPB-based interventions aimed at reshaping attitudes, challenging social norms, and empowering girls with behavioral control. This review offers a foundation for developing more effective and context-sensitive strategies to prevent child marriage through a health psychology approach

Family Well-being in the Digital Age: A Systematic Review of Social Media Literacy using ADO and TCM Framework

    Get PDF
Social media platforms are now inseparable from children as well as parents, making social media literacy a critical skill for maintaining family well-being in the digital age. This analysis explores whether social media literacy genuinely influences family well-being, as reflected in how each family member engages with social media. A systematic literature review was conducted using Antecedents, Decisions, Outcomes (ADO) and Theory, Context, Method (TCM) frameworks analyzing 66 studies. Findings identified five main antecedents: individual and psychological factors, social and family influences, access to media and technology, intervention and empowerment, and cultural and environmental context. These antecedents shape family decisions: responsible digital use, parental mediation, privacy, and the use of social media for education and advocacy, impacting the objective and subjective well-being of the family both positively and negatively. The review highlights theoretical, contextual and methodological gaps including geographical bias towards Western countries, the dominance of cross-sectional studies and limited focus on intergenerational digital literacy
