    MENSTRUAL CYCLE AND HISTORY OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES RELATED TO ANEMIA IN ADOLESCENT WOMEN

    The purpose of the study is known factors associated with anemia in adolescent women. The research method was a cross sectional survey. The sampling technique used in this study is the total sampling. The number of respondents were 115 people, consisting of 61 eighth grade women junior Boarding School Bantul Binbaz Piyungan and 54 women high school class XI PIRI 2 Yogyakarta. Data were collected through questionnaires and measurements charging anemia with Cyanmethemoglobine method. Data analysis was performed by means of univariate, bivariate and multivariate analyzes. The results showed the majority of respondents women suffer mild anemia (46%) and moderate anemia (11%). Factors associated with anemia in adolescent women based bivariate test is mother's education (p: 0.013), nutritional status (p: 0.000), duration of menstruation (p: 0.000), the menstrual cycle (p: 0.000), a history of infectious diseases or chronic (p: 0.000). There is no employment relationship with the maternal anemia in adolescent women. Based on the multivariate test, the factors associated with anemia in adolescent women is the menstrual cycle (p: 0.001; beta: 0.308) and a history of infectious disease (p: 0.023; beta: -0.212)

    Existence of industrialization for Indonesia, as one of the developing countries is the strategy of choice in the model development focused one conomic growth. Industrialization selection model policyh as an impact on the dynamics of industrialization of agriculture in the countryside. One side, it is the growth of the national economy rising sharply, yet on the other hand makes a very striking imbalance, especially in the agricultural sector. Conditions of agricultural industrialization, in this case, the agricultural sector has experienced marginality as a result of state policies that are not in favor of the farmers. As a result, rural industrialization there is no synergy in efforts to empower farmers in the rural economy. These conditions experienced by farmers in the Sitimulyo village Piyungan districts Bantul Yogyakarta. Sitimulyo is one of village at Piyungan sub-distric a part of Bantul regency of Yogyakarta City, which is the area of industrial development. The existence of this policy has any impact either directly or indirectly to the economic empowerment of farmers in the Piyungan District Sitimulyo village. Agricultural landin the village of Sitimulyo coincides with the presence of companies such as PT Perwita Karya, CV. Aneka Darma, PT. Pengolahan Plastik, PT. Adi Satria Abadi, PT. Don Young, Koperasi Umbul Jaya (Relocation of IKM Aluminum) and Kids Fun.The purpose of the study is to know the impact of industrialization on the economic empowerment of rural farmers in the village and to know Sitimulyo empowerment efforts undertaken by the village government and farmer groups that are economically powerless in the midst of the crush ofindustrialization. The theory used in this study is industrialization theory and empowerment. The research method used is a qualitative research method. Methods of data collection are done through observation and in-depth interviews. Data analysis was conducted by reviewing all data from various sources. Having read, studied and analyzed the next step is to conduct data reduction and interpretation of data. The research results are as follows: rural industrialization affects the economic empowerment of farmers in the village Sitimulyo, either directly or indirectly, either positive or negative impact. Positive impact is the local labor absorption. The negative impact is water short ages for most farmers irrigate their field sand the presence of was teand pollution.This condition affects the quantity and quality aspects of plant productivity that affect farmers' income. Farmers' income simply to meet subsistence needs. Empowerment efforts is undertaken by the village government and Sidomakmur farmer group in the Sitimulyo village through capacity building (through the field school for farmers in the Sitimulyo village), facilitation of networks (network) and assistance (seeds, agricultural tools)

    Public forests, particularly the ones in Java island, were developed in the 1930s by Dutch colonialgovernment although the government\u27s policy did not fully recognize and legitimate them as state forests.Nevertheless, the contribution of the forests to local communities cannot be denied, because the existenceof community forest can be lifesaving. That public forest after deforestation becomes an alternativesolution can be seen in changes in the timber industry, in that demand for wood is increasing. The changeresulted could be seen in the cultural change of this industry on the management of public forest in Java,especially in Gunungkidul Yogyakarta. The demand and pressure of International market that setrequirements on the wood sold to be of high quality and accompanied with legal documents of publicforets is an absolute condition to have the logs be accepted, recognized and marketed in Internationalmarket. In political economical context, forest certification in Gunungkidul regency needs theintervention of the State to protect the marketing of timber from public forests

    An Analysis of Conjunctions Found in Barack Obama’s Farewell Speech Text

    In communication people use conjunctions in their speech, so did Barack Obama in his farewell speech. His speech consists of many various conjunctions that will be interesting to study to understand the connection between the sentences delivered by Him. The purpose of this study is to find out types of conjunction especially external conjunction, internal conjunction, and continuatives in Barack Obama’s farewell speech text based on semantics naming. It used the descriptive qualitative method. The instruments were researchers themselves, table, Barack Obama’s speech text. The data collection were taken from were taken from the internet, it was the President of the United State of America (period: 2009-2017) Barack Obama's speech text of his farewell in Chicago. To analyze all data, this study used the theory of conjunction by Martin and Rose (2007). The data were identified types of conjunction, then were classified, were displayed, and were described. The finding out of words that were analyzed conjunctions and continuatives were 18 (eighteen) types of external conjunctions, 8 (eight) types of internal conjunctions and 3 (three) continuatives

    Women and Strengthening the Family Economy in the Digital Era in the Development of MSMEs in Yogyakarta

    This research focuses on how women contribute to strengthening the economy to realize family economic resilience. This kind of phenomenon is also experienced by families in rural areas in Bantul, Yogyakarta. The researcher took a social setting in Babadan Hamlet, Sitimulyo, Piyungan, Bantul, Yogyakarta. This research uses a participatory method with the type PAR (Participatory Action Research). Participatory Research Method is carried out jointly and based on emancipatory-participatory logic. In this research, the community is the research subject involving 15 sources from MSME business actors in interviews and FGDs. The research results show that women in Babadan Hamlet, Sitimulyo of Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, have an important role in strengthening the family economy. Strengthening the family economy is carried out through various activities ranging from opening a shop business or opening services. However, only 20% of business actors utilize digital media such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. Meanwhile, the marketplace has not been fully utilized. Apart from that, MSME business actors in Babadan Hamlet, Sitimulyo, Bantul Regency are also not optimal in carrying out product branding. This paper contributes to empirical studies on the importance of women's role in strengthening the family economy

    Pemberian Makanan Bergizi Seimbang terhadap Kejadian Stunting pada Balita

    This study aims to determine how providing balanced nutritious food affects the incidence of stunting in toddlers. The method used is scoping review with the PRISMA-ScR framework and scoping review questions with the PICO framework. Article searches were conducted through the Pubmed, ScienceDirect and Wiley databases with Critical Appraisal based on The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). The results showed that three main themes were found, namely: 1) knowledge, affecting the growth and development of children, the higher the mother's education, the better her level of knowledge; 2) economic status, which influences the incidence of stunting because if the economic status is good, then the family is not lacking in terms of food; 3) good feeding practices, is an indicator to assess the optimal fulfillment of a child's nutritional needs. In conclusion, providing nutritious food with balanced nutrition for children is the main factor that significantly influences the incidence of stunting in toddlers.  Keywords: Toddlers, Nutrition, Stunting, Balanced Nutritio
