    Pemberdayaan Petani di Desa Pombulaa Jaya Kecamatan Konda dalam Budidaya Sayuran Hidroponik

    Desa Pombulaa Jaya Kecamatan Konda merupakan salah satu daerah pemasok sayur untuk Kota Kendari dan Kabupaten Konawe Selatan. Selama ini petani bertanam sayur dengan mengandalkan musim hujan, namun karena perubahan iklim terkadang curah terlalu tinggi atau sebaliknya kekeringan sehingga penanaman sayuran terhambat. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut adalah melalui pelatihan tentang teknik budidaya tanaman secara hidroponik atau budidaya tanaman tanpa tanah. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di Balai Desa Pombulaa Jaya yang diikuti oleh 38 orang petani. Pelatihan dilakukan dalam bentuk presentasi dan dilanjutkan dengan diskusi dan demonstrasi tentang pembuatan instalasi. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan antusias petani untuk mengikuti pelatihan cukup tinggi karena belum ada institusi yang memberikan sosialisasi dan pelatihan tentang teknik budidaya tanaman secara hidroponik. Pelatihan ini meningkatkan pengetahuan petani tentang teknik budidaya tanaman secara hidroponik atau tanpa tanah, meningkatkan keterampilan petani tentang cara pembuatan instalasi hidroponik dan cara pembuatan larutan hara untuk tanaman hidroponik. Diharapkan teknik bertanam sayur secara hidroponik merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk mengatasi kendala perubahan iklim yang dapat mengganggu aktifitas petani dalam budidaya tanaman sayur-sayuran

    [CHANGES IN SOIL CHEMICAL PROPERTIES AND MUNG BEAN (Vigna radiata L.) YIELD IN INCEPTISOLS, NORTH MORAMO AS AFFECTED BY APPLICATION OF SAGO WASTE COMPOST]. Inceptisols are one of the most widespread soil types in Southeast Sulawesi with an acreage of ​​around 2,280,567 ha (62.07%) and potential for agriculture development. The primary drawback of Inceptisols developed for cultivating mung bean includes a highly acid soil reaction with low soil pH. The polybag experiment was conducted with the objective to determine changes in the chemical properties of the soil after being amended with sago waste compost and its effects on mung bean yield. The research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Halu Oleo University. This study used a randomized block design consisting of five levels of sago pulp compost (i.e., 0, 100, 200, 300, and 400 g/polybag) with three replications. The results showed that the application of 400 g/polybag of sago pulp compost increased soil pH and organic C by 5.02 and 2.23%, respectively. Increases were also observed in total-N (0.24%), available-P (19.85 ppm), available-K (0.24 me/100g), and CEC (11.99 me/100g). The application of 300 g/polybag of sago pulp compost resulted in the highest number of pods (11.33 pods) and the weight of 100 green bean seeds (9.39 g).  Inceptisol termasuk salah satu ordo tanah yang tersebar luas dan potensil untuk pengembangan pertanian di Sulawesi Tenggara, namun memiliki kendala kesuburan tanah rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan sifat kimia tanah setelah diberi kompos ampas sagu dan hasil kacang hijau (Vigna radiata L.). Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Halu Oleo. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok terdiri dari 5 perlakuan kompos ampas sagu yakni A0 = tanpa kompos ampas sagu sebagai kontrol, A1 = 100 g/polybag, A2 = 200 g/polybag, A3 = 300 g/polybag, A4 = 400 g/polybag dan diulang 3 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian 400 g/polybag kompos ampas sagu meningkatkan pH tanah dan C-organik masing-masing 5,02 dan 2,23%. Peningkatan juga terjadi pada N-total (0,24%), P-tersedia (19,85 ppm), K-tersedia (0,24 me/100g) dan KTK (11,99 me/100g).     Buah tomat (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.) merupakan salah satu produk pangan penting, selain itu tomat merupakan bahan baku industry dan kosmetika bahkan sebagai bahan obat-obatan, namun produksinya masih fluktuatif dari tahun ke tahun karena umumnya dibudidayakan pada tanah marjinal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk kandang kambing dan bokasi limbah pasar terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tomat pada tanah Ultisol. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola factorial, dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah pupuk kandang kambing (K) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yakni: K0=  tanpa perlakuan, K1= 300 g polybag-1, K2= 400 g polybag-1, K3= 500 g polybag-1. Faktor kedua adalah bokasi limbah pasar (P) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf yaitu P0=  tanpa perlakuan, P1= 300 g polybag-1, P2= 400 g polybag-1, P3= 500 g polybag-1. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa penggunaan pupuk kandang kambing dan bokasi limbah pasar secara nyata meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah buah dan bobot buah per tanaman. Aplikasi 500 g pupuk kandang kambing dan 500 g bokasi limbah pasar masing-masing mencatatkan bobot buah terberat yakni 242,12 g dan 197,27 g per tanaman. &nbsp

    Isolation and Identification of Potential Bio-Inoculants Based on Phosphate Solubilizing Molds From Different Plant Rhizospheres

    In crop production, phosphorus (P) is the second most important limiting nutrient. However, due to precipitation reactions with Al3+, Fe3+ in acidic soil, or Ca2+ in alkaline soil, its availability in soil is severely limited. Microbes have recently been proposed as a means of increasing the bioavailability of soil phosphate for plants. The goal of this research was to isolate and identify phosphate solubilizing molds (PSM) from various plant rhizospheres, including gadung (Dioscorea hispida Dennst), maize (Zea mays L.), bamboo (Dendrocalamus asper), pineapple (Ananas comosus L.), and banana (Ananas indica L.). PSM was isolated in vitro and then diluted using the dilution plate technique with Pikovskaya’s solid medium. Five colonies were confirmed as PSM, namely Talaromyces aculeatus, Metarhizium anisopliae, Fusarium proliferatum, Mucor hiemalis, and Aspergillus niger, out of fourteen colonies formed from those rhizospheres. In the PVK solid medium, these isolates were capable of solubilizing insoluble P with a solubility range of 2.05 to 3.03. Talaromyces aculeatus (125.6 mg L-1), Metarhizium anisopliae (80.76 mg L-1) and Fusarium proliferatum (41.59 mg L-1) were the best P solubilizers, followed by Mucor hiemalis (9.51 mg L-1), and Aspergillus niger (7.85 mg L-1), respectively.     Basic health services in Indonesia have not placed adolescent reproductive health as a priority in health services, so it is necessary to carry out health education as an effort to increase knowledge and attitudes among adolescents. The aim of the community service: providing reproductive health education to adolescents, cervical cancer, and anemia in SMA Negeri 1 Kutalimbaru. Education is carried out so that adolescents maintain their reproductive health and are able to prepare themselves as future mothers. Reproductive health education is carried out from August to October 2020 while still implementing health protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. Stages of activity: field observations, identification of partner problems, offering solutions, planning and implementing health education. At the beginning and at the end of the activity, a pre test and post test were carried out. The results obtained: reproductive health in adolescents has a good knowledge of 73%, about 71% good category cervical cancer, and about 75% good knowledge about anemia. The attitude about reproductive health in adolescents is good 73%, about cervical cancer is good 72% and about anemia is good 74%. Reproductive health education activities for adolescents through pocket books to increase the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents in SMA Negeri 1 Kutalimbaru, Deliserdang Regency, an increase occurred.
