Stabilization of a clayey soil with Tuncbilek fly ash

Bu çalışmada killi bir zemin, Tunçbilek uçucu külü ile stabilize edilmiştir. Killi zemine %0, %3, %5 ve % 10 oranlarında uçucu kül katılarak dört farklı numune elde edilmiştir. Optimum su muhtevasında hazırlanmış her bir numune üzerinde 1 günlük, 7 günlük ve 30 günlük serbest basınç deneyleri yapılmıştır. Uçucu kül ilavesi ile, zeminin plastisitesi pek değişmezken, optimum su muhtevası ve serbest basınç mukavemeti artan uçucu kül oranı ile artmıştır.In this paper, the stabilization of a clayey soil with Tunçbilek fly ash was researched. Samples were prepared by using four different replacement amounts of 0%, 3%, 5% and 10% by weight of soil. All samples were prepared at optimum moisture content. All samples were sheared 1 day, 7 days and 30 days after preparation. Unconfined compression test were conducted on these samples. While plasticity of the soils not seriously affected by fly ash addition, optimum moisture content and strength of samples are increased

Deneysel meme kanseri modelinde süt proteinlerinin koruyucu etkisi

Amaç: Süt serumu proteinlerinin insan sağlığına üzerine birçok yararlı etkileri olduğu bilinmektedir. Çalışmamızda, sıçanlarda N-metil-N-nitrozure ile indüklenen meme kanseri modelinde süt serumu proteinlerinin koruyucu etkileri araştırılmıştır. Yöntemler: Çalışmamızda deneysel meme kanseri modeli oluşturmak üzere 130 günlük Sprague-Dawley türü, dişi, virjin sıçanlara 100 gün ara ile iki kez N-metil-N-nitrozüre enjekte edildi. Çalışma boyunca sıçanlara haftada iki kez orogastrik gavajla süt serumu proteinleri verildi. Sıçanlar 180 gün sonunda sakrifiye edildi doku örnekleri toplandı. Karaciğer, böbrek ve meme dokularındaki glutatyon, malondialdehit ve protein karbonil değerleri karşılaştırıldı. Bulgular: Tüm dokularda en yüksek malondialdehit ve protein karbonil değerleri N-metil-N-nitrozüre grubundaki sıçanlarda en düşük malondialdehit ve protein karbonil değerleri de kontrol grubunda gözlendi. N-metil-N-nitrozüre ile birlikte süt serumu proteinleri verildiğinde ise bu değerlerdeki artışların baskılanarak kontrol grubu değerlerine yaklaştığı gözlendi. Sonuç: Çalışmamızda N-metil-N-nitrozüre ile oluşturulan meme kanseri modelinde N-metil-N-nitrozüre etkisiyle oluşan biyokimyasal değişikliklere karşı süt serumu proteinlerinin koruyucu etkisi olduğu gözlenmiştir

Contributions to differential geometry of isotropic curves in the complex space C-3 - II

This study investigates classical differential geometry of isotropic curves in the complex space C-3. First, we deal with spherical images of isotropic curves, and then obtain some results regarding these curves. Therefore, we continue to study these spherical indicatrices as Darboux curves and Bertrand mates. Also, we examine isotropic slant helices in C-3. Additionally, we show that the vectors of isotropic curves and their pseudo-curvatures satisfy a vectorial differential equation of the second order with variable coefficients. We study this differential equation under some special cases. Finally, we give the conditions for an isotropic curve to be Darboux helix in C-3. Next, we define the constant breadth of isotropic curves and express some characterizations of these curves in terms of E. Cartan equations in C-3. (C) 2016 Elsevier Inc. On Characterizations of Some Special Curves of Timelike Curves According to the Bishop Frame of Type-2 in Minkowski 3-Space

International Conference on Advances in Natural and Applied Sciences (ICANAS) -- APR 21-23, 2016 -- Antalya, TURKEY --In this paper, first we give a characterization of timelike inclined curves according to the type-2 Bishop frame in Minkowski 3-space, and then define rectifying curves of timelike curves according to the type-2 Bishop frame in Minkowski 3-space as their position vectors always lie in the orthogonal complement Omega 1/2 of their vector field Omega 1/2. Moreover we characterize Bertrand curves in the same space via the new frame. In particular, we study Mannheim partner curves according to type-2 Bishop frame in E-1(3) and express such curves in terms of their curvature functions.WOS:00037600100008

THE RELATIONS BETWEEN NULL GEODESIC CURVES AND TIMELIKE RULED SURFACES IN DUAL LORENTZIAN SPACE D-1(3)

In this work, we study the conditions between null geodesic curves and timelike ruled surfaces in dual Lorentzian space. For this study, we establish a system of differential equations characterizing timelike ruled surfaces in dual Lorentzian space by using the invariant quantities of null geodesic curves on the given ruled surfaces. We obtain the solutions of these systems for special cases. Regarding to these special solutions, we give some results of the relations between null geodesic curves and timelike ruled surfaces in dual Lorentzian space.WOS:00046252260001
