Synthesis and Characterization of Amorphous Nickel(II) Aluminosilicate

    Get PDF
Amorphous aluminosilicates containing about 12 wto °/0 nickel have been synthesized bycation exchange. Approximately 40°/0 of the nickel content is present in the form of octahedral [NiH20)6]2+ ions while the bulk of NF+ is coordinated both by I-hO molecules and by oxygen atoms of the aluminosilicate framework. When the materials are heated in air at 350 -c, a change in the nickel coordination environment/geornetry and possibly also a partial oxidation take place

A cobalt(II) complex with ethylenediamine inside zeolite A

Reaction of the partially dehydrated cobalt(II)-exchanged zeolite A (Co-A) with ethylenediamine (en) at 130 C in an autoclave yields after 24 h a product (Coen-A) in which entire Co(II) content (tetrahedrally coordinated in the partially dehydrated Co-A) is present in the form of the Co(en)3(2+) ions. Steric factors require the Co(en)3(2+) ions to be substituted only in the larger cages of zeolite A (alfa-cages), implying that the conversion of Co-A into Coen-A is accompanied by a migration of Co2+ ions initially located in the smaller cages (beta-cages) into alfa-cages. The Co/en molar ratio in Coen-A is 1:5.6, so that a fraction of en is also present in a noncoordinated form. IR spectral data suggest that the coordinated en adopts to the gauche conformation. TG analysis shows that the thermal decomposition of Coen-A occurs in four steps, such that water is lost first, followed by the loss of en

Counting and enumerating partial Latin rectangles by means of computer algebra systems and CSP solvers

    No full text
This paper provides an in-depth analysis of how computer algebra systems and CSP solvers can be used to deal with the problem of enumerating and distributing the set of r×sr\times s partial Latin rectangles based on nn symbols according to their weight, shape, type or structure. The computation of Hilbert functions and triangular systems of radical ideals enables us to solve this problem for all r,s,n6r,s,n\leq 6. As a by-product, explicit formulas are determined for the number of partial Latin rectangles of weight up to six. Further, in order to illustrate the effectiveness of the computational method, we focus on the enumeration of three subsets: (a) non-compressible and regular, (b) totally symmetric, and (c) totally conjugate orthogonal partial Latin squares. In particular, the former enables us to enumerate the set of seminets of point rank up to eight and to prove the existence of two new configurations of point rank eight. Finally, as an illustrative application, it is also exposed a method to construct totally symmetric partial Latin squares that gives rise, under certain conditions, to new families of Lie partial quasigroup rings

On the integration of fuzzy level sets

International audienceWe study the integration of fuzzy level sets associated with a fuzzy random variable when the underlying space is a separable Banach space or a weak star dual of a separable Banach space. In particular, the expectation and the conditional expectation of fuzzy level sets in this setting are presented. We prove the SLLN for pairwise independent identically distributed fuzzy convex compact valued level sets through the SLLN for pairwise independent identically distributed convex compact valued random set in separable Banach space. Some convergence results for a class of integrand martingale are also presented
