This work presents control plot for a remain solitary wind vitality change framework. Vitality is the thought to be the essential contribution for improvement. At present attributable to the exhaustion of accessible ordinary assets and concern with respect to natural corruption, the sustainable sources are being used to meet the steadily expanding vitality request. Because of a moderately minimal effort of power creation wind vitality is thought to be one of the potential wellsprings of clean vitality for what's to come. In any case, the nature of wind stream is stochastic. So thorough testing is to be completed in research facility to create effective control methodology for wind vitality change framework (WECS). The investigation of WECS and the related controllers are, in this way, ending up noticeably more huge with each passing day. Display vitality require intensely depends on the customary sources. In any case, the restricted accessibility and consistent increment in the cost of regular sources has moved the concentration toward sustainable wellsprings of vitality. Of the accessible option wellsprings of vitality, wind vitality is thought to be one of the demonstrated advancements. With a focused cost for power era, wind vitality transformation framework (WECS) is these days sent for meeting both matrix associated and remain solitary load requests. In any case, twist stream by nature is discontinuous. So as to guarantee consistent supply of energy appropriate stockpiling innovation is utilized as reinforcement. In this venture, the supportability of a 4-kW half breed of wind and battery framework is explored for meeting the necessities of a 3-kW remain solitary dc stack speaking to a base telecom station. A charge controller for battery bank in light of turbine greatest power point following and battery condition of charge is produced to guarantee controlled charging and releasing of battery. The mechanical security of the WECS is guaranteed by methods for pitch control procedure. Both the control plans are incorporated and the adequacy is approved by testing it with different load and twist profiles in MATLAB/SIMULINK

Characteristics of VHF radiowave scintillations over a solar cycle (1983?1993) at a low-latitude station: Waltair (17.7°N, 83.3°E)

International audienceThe characteristics of VHF radiowave scintillations at 244 MHz (FLEETSAT) during a complete solar cycle (1983?93) at a low-latitude station, Waltair (17.7°N, 83.3°E), are presented. The occurrence of night-time scintillations shows equinoctial maxima and summer minima in all the epochs of solar activity, and follows the solar activity. The daytime scintillation occurrence is negatively correlated with the solar activity and shows maximum occurrence during the summer months in a period of low solar activity. The occurrence of night-time scintillations is inhibited during disturbed days of high solar activity and enhanced during low solar activity

Background: Diabetes mellitus refers to a group of common metabolic disorders that share the phenotype of hyperglycemia resulting from defects of reduced insulin secretion, decreased glucose utilization and increase in glucose production. It is estimated that there are currently 285 million people worldwide and this number is set to increase to 438 million by the year 2030. India has the highest number of patients with known diabetes worldwide, with a prevalence of 11.6%. The aim of the study was to evaluate the anti diabetic activity of ethanolic extract of leaves of plant Ocimum sanctum in alloxan induced diabetes in rats. Methods: The study was conducted on 4 groups of 6 rats each to evaluate the hypoglycaemic effect of ethanolic extract of Ocimum sanctum. Glibenclamide was used as a standard drug and the results were compared in reference to it. Tween 80 was given for both normal and diabetic control groups. The fasting blood sugar levels were recorded on 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th days by glucometer. Results: The results indicate that the test compound ethanolic extract of Ocimum sanctum has significant and sustained oral hypoglycaemic activity, comparable with the hypoglycaemic effect of glibenclamide, a sulfonylurea. Conclusion: The hypoglycaemic potential of the test compound is found to be comparable with that of the standard drug glibenclamide

Mutations in a High-Grade Micropapillary Urothelial Carcinoma of the Renal Pelvis: A Case Report

Micropapillary urothelial carcinoma (MPUC) of the renal pelvis is an upper tract urothelial carcinoma originating in the renal pelvis region. Few genetic studies are available, and the mechanism of pathogenesis of genetically driven models is unclear. We report a case of genomic alterations in MPUC of the renal pelvis and compare the results with existing literature. DNA was extracted, followed by the next-generation sequencing of 351 oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes. Targeted gene sequencing analysis revealed somatic variants in ERBB2, KMT2C, FOXA1, and germline variants in CDKN1B, ELF3, TP53, and RB1 genes. The present case study sheds light on recognizing genetic variants in high-grade MPUC of the renal pelvis. Understanding molecular mechanisms helps with better prognostication and development of more effective therapeutics and treatment

Heterochromatin Protein 1β (HP1β) has distinct functions and distinct nuclear distribution in pluripotent versus differentiated cells

Background: Pluripotent embryonic stem cells (ESCs) have the unique ability to differentiate into every cell type and to self-renew. These characteristics correlate with a distinct nuclear architecture, epigenetic signatures enriched for active chromatin marks and hyperdynamic binding of structural chromatin proteins. Recently, several chromatin-related proteins have been shown to regulate ESC pluripotency and/or differentiation, yet the role of the major heterochromatin proteins in pluripotency is unknown. Results: Here we identify Heterochromatin Protein 1β (HP1β) as an essential protein for proper differentiation, and, unexpectedly, for the maintenance of pluripotency in ESCs. In pluripotent and differentiated cells HP1β is differentially localized and differentially associated with chromatin. Deletion of HP1β, but not HP1aα, in ESCs provokes a loss of the morphological and proliferative characteristics of embryonic pluripotent cells, reduces expression of pluripotency factors and causes aberrant differentiation. However, in differentiated cells, loss of HP1β has the opposite effect, perturbing maintenance of the differentiation state and facilitating reprogramming to an induced pluripotent state. Microscopy, biochemical fractionation and chromatin immunoprecipitation reveal a diffuse nucleoplasmic distribution, weak association with chromatin and high expression levels for HP1β in ESCs. The minor fraction of HP1β that is chromatin-bound in ESCs is enriched within exons, unlike the situation in differentiated cells, where it binds heterochromatic satellite repeats and chromocenters. Conclusions: We demonstrate an unexpected duality in the role of HP1β: it is essential in ESCs for maintaining pluripotency, while it is required for proper differentiation in differentiated cells. Thus, HP1β function both depends on, and regulates, the pluripotent state

Allpass modelling of Fourier phase for speaker verification

    No full text
This paper proposes features based on parametric representa-tion of Fourier phase of speech for speaker verification. Directcomputation of Fourier phase suffers from phase wrapping andhence we attempt parametric modelling of phase spectrum us-ing an allpass (AP) filter. The coefficients of the AP filter areestimated by minimizing an entropy based objective functionmotivated from speech production process. The AP cepstralcoefficients (APCC) derived from the group delay response ofestimated AP filter are used as features for speaker verification. An i-vector based speaker verification system is employed toevaluate the performance of the proposed APCC features onNIST 2003 speaker recognition evaluation database. The equalerror rates (EER) obtained from speaker verification systemsbuilt using APCC features and baseline mel-frequency cepstralcoefficients (MFCC) are reported. A relative improvement of12% was obtained over MFCC features by combining evidencesfrom both MFCC and APCC based system
