O Inquérito Policial Militar e a Polícia Judiciária Militar sob uma perspectiva constitucional

Direito.O presente trabalho destina-se a apresentar os principais aspectos do Inquérito Policial Militar e da atuação da Polícia Judiciária Militar, a partir de uma nova perspectiva constitucional, rumo a consolidação dos direitos fundamentais e garantias constitucionais na Administração Militar. O militar enquanto sujeito de direitos precisa ser visto de outro modo, sob um viés humanizado e constitucional, para que se permita que este servidor especial possa receber a valorização que lhe é necessária. Da herança autoritária que ainda se manifesta nas normas jurídicas militares à transição democrática com vistas a efetivação de direitos fundamentais, constata-se uma necessidade de melhor dirigir os trabalhos de investigação no âmbito militar, trazendo o Inquérito Policial Militar para o centro do nosso trabalho. Não há como falar de inquérito sem mencionar o poder de Polícia Judiciária Militar e realizar detalhada análise de sua atuação, sob um prisma garantista e constitucional, na busca de uma melhor forma laboral deste braço militar estatal, que é um membro integrado ao corpo estatal e não uma parte isolada e autônoma

Vortex configurations and metastability in mesoscopic superconductors

The vortex dynamics in mesoscopic superconducting cylinders with rectangular cross section under an axially applied magnetic field is investigated in the multivortex London regime. The rectangles considered range from a square up to an infinite slab. The flux distribution and total flux carried by a vortex placed in an arbitrary position of the sample is calculated analytically by assuming Clem's solution for the vortex core. The Bean-Livingston energy barrier is also analytically calculated in this framework. A Langevin algorithm simulates the flux penetration and dynamical evolution of the vortices as the external field is slowly cycled. The simulated magnetization process is governed by metastable states. The magnetization curves are hysteretic, with paramagnetic response in part of the downward branch, and present a series of peaks corresponding to the entry or expulsion of a single vortex. For elongated rectangles, the vortices arrange themselves into parallel vortex chains and an additional modulation of the magnetization, corresponding to creation or destruction of a vortex chain, comes out.Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures. A formação do olhar ciclópico na produção imagética no Povoado do Maracujá

O presente artigo relata interpretativamente a práxis de uma obra videográfica, na fase de pré-produção. Um grupo de nove adolescentes é mobilizado à criação de um vídeo, através de oficinas formativas para apropriação de linguagem audiovisual. As oficinas consistiram em atividades de apreciação fílmica, uso de câmeras fotográficas e de vídeo, bem como sensibilização quanto à formação histórico-cultural do povoado do Maracujá, situado à dezoito quilômetros da sede do município baiano de Conceição do Coité. O método utilizado é o da pesquisa-ação do tipo etnográfico. Os participantes das oficinas incorporam o olhar ciclópico, conceito-chave do estudo. As imagens produzidas tornam inadiável um olhar da comunidade sobre si mesma e evidenciam que a partir da apropriação técnica emerge a utilização expressiva da linguagem audiovisual

Morfología del sistema reproductivo de las hembras del cangrejo rojo de mangle (Goniopsis cruentata Latreille, 1803).

The present study describes the morphology of the female reproductive system and the development of the germ cells of the crab Goniopsis cruentata. Specimens were collected monthly from the mangrove of the Ceará River (Brazil) for study of the reproductive system. The ovarian lobes unite near the middle of the cephalothorax and extend to the third abdominal segment. The ovaries connect to spermathecae draining into a short oviduct. Microscopically, four types of germ cells were identified. Four stages of ovary development were defined based on macroscopic and microscopic features. The association of ovary development stages with biometric measures shows that ovaries of females with triangular abdomens and a carapace width (CW) of 21.0-29.3 mm were in the previtellogenic stage, while those of females with rounded abdomens and a CW of 26.4-46.1 mm varied with regard to maturity, the majority being late-stage vitellogenic or mature. The organisation of the female reproductive system of G. cruentata is similar to that of most other brachyurans, except for the extension of the ovaries to the abdomen.El presente estudio describe la morfología del sistema reproductivo femenino y el desarrollo de las células germinativas del cangrejo Goniopsis cruentata. Los ejemplares estudiados fueron recolectados mensualmente en un manglar del Río Ceará (Brasil). En plena madurez, los lóbulos del ovario se unen cerca del centro del cefalotórax y se extienden hasta el tercer segmento abdominal. Los ovarios se conectan a la espermateca a través de un pequeño oviducto. Microscópicamente, cuatro tipos de células germinativas fueron identificadas. Cuatro estadios de desarrollo ovárico fueron definidos en base a características macroscópicas y microscópicas. La asociación del desarrollo de los estadios de desarrollo ovárico con medidas biométricas muestra que los ovarios de las hembras con abdómenes de forma triangular y talla comprendida entre 21-29.3 mm de anchura de cefalotórax se encuentran en el estadio pre-vitelogénico, mientras que los ovarios de hembras con abdómenes redondeados y tallas comprendidas entre 26.4-46.1 mm varían en relación a su grado de desarrollo, la mayoría perteneciendo al estadio vitelogénico tardío o maduro. La organización del sistema reproductivo femenino de G. cruentata es similar al de la mayoría de otros cangrejos braquiuros, excepto por la extensión de los ovarios al abdomen

Criminalidade, inteligência policial e economia: um estudo de relação de variáveis econômicas e a incidência de crimes na cidade de Florianópolis

Economia.O entendimento da criminalidade como fenômeno social é essencial para que esta seja encarada como assunto multidisciplinar e receba a devida atenção social. Este fenômeno, que causa em muitos locais uma anomalia ao bem estar social, é carente de estudos que subsidiem a produção de conhecimento pertinente a este tema. A ciência econômica, por sua pluralidade, pode contribuir a esta produção de conhecimento à inteligência policial e conseqüentemente à prevenção de crimes. O trabalho foi desenvolvido com referência ao município de Florianópolis, devido sua importância econômica, política e cultural dentro do Estado de Santa Catarina. A amostra utilizada serão as informações pertinentes a cada bairro deste município, e as variáveis serão o nível de rendimento e a incidência de crimes considerados contra o patrimônio. Os crimes selecionados foram de grande incidência na cidade e será demonstrada sua distribuição neste trabalho. O nível de rendimento e os crimes contra o patrimônio foram escolhidos pela formulação de hipótese preliminar, baseado no senso comum, de que localidades que possuem maior nível de rendimentos são propícias a maior ocorrência de crimes contra o patrimônio. Serão utilizados testes estatísticos de correlação para se inferir sobre o possível relacionamento entre as variáveis selecionadas. A amostra dos bairros da cidade apresentou-se dividida em dois grupos, os de alto rendimento e os de médio e baixo rendimento, mas devido a características da distribuição da renda, pode-se inferir que não se apresentam bairros paupérrimos. Os resultados não demonstraram o nível de rendimento dos residentes nos bairros como indicador da incidência de crimes contra o patrimônio, apenas um crime, o arrombamento ou furto em veículo, apresentou nitidamente correlação positiva com esta variável econômica

Dynamical matrix for arbitrary quadratic fermionic bath Hamiltonians and non-Markovian dynamics of one and two qubits in an Ising model environment

We obtain the analytical expression for the Kraus decomposition of the quantum map of an environment modeled by an arbitrary quadratic fermionic Hamiltonian acting on one or two qubits, and derive simple functions to check the non-positivity of the intermediate map. These functions correspond to two different sufficient criteria for non-Markovianity. In the particular case of an environment represented by the Ising Hamiltonian, we discuss the two sources of non-Markovianity in the model, one due to the finite size of the lattice, and another due to the kind of interactions.Comment: 11 pages, 10 figure

Vortex-Antivortex annihilation dynamics in a square mesoscopic superconducting cylinder

The dynamics of the annihilation of a vortex-antivortex pair is investigated. The pair is activated magnetically during the run of a simulated hysteresis loop on a square mesoscopic superconducting cylinder with an antidot inserted at its center. We study the nucleation of vortices and antivortices by first increasing the magnetic field, applied parallel to the axis of the sample, from zero until the first vortex is created. A further increase of the field pulls the vortex in, until it reaches the antidot. As the polarity of the field is reversed, an antivortex enters the scene, travels toward the center of the sample and eventually the pair is annihilated. Depending on the sample size, its temperature, and Ginzburg-Landau parameter, the vortex-antivortex encounter takes place at the antidot or at the superconducting sea around it. The position and velocity of the vortex and antivortex singularities were evaluated as a function of time. Collective effects on the performance and stability of quantum heat engines

Recent predictions for quantum-mechanical enhancements in the operation of small heat engines have raised renewed interest in their study from both a fundamental perspective and in view of applications. One essential question is whether collective effects may help to carry enhancements over larger scales, when increasing the number of systems composing the working substance of the engine. Such enhancements may consider not only power and efficiency, that is its performance, but, additionally, its constancy, i.e. the stability of the engine with respect to unavoidable environmental fluctuations. We explore this issue by introducing a many-body quantum heat engine model composed by spin pairs working in continuous operation. We study how power, efficiency and constancy scale with the number of spins composing the engine, and obtain analytical expressions in the macroscopic limit. Our results predict power enhancements, both in finite-size and macroscopic cases, for a broad range of system parameters and temperatures, without compromising the engine efficiency, as well as coherence-enhanced constancy for large but finite sizes.
