The law governing the liability of a carrier for loss or damage to interstate shipments is set out in the Carmack Amendment. Prior to the enactment of this federal legislation, a body of law pertaining to this subject developed in the common law. The present law evolved from the earliest concepts of bailment relationship. The early statutes preserved many aspects of the common law. This article will refer to common law principles but will not focus on law as it was prior to the Carmack Amendment

Liability of Carrier for Loss or Damage to International Shipments

Though shipments by truck or rail are usually interstate or intrastate, many such shipments traverse the Mexican and Canadian borders or involve delivery from or to an ocean vessel for international transshipment. The federal laws which set out the liability of a carrier for interstate shipments are known as the Carmack Amendment and the Cummins Acts. This article will deal with the regulation of the so-called International Shipment. A myriad of problems arises in the determination of what law is applicable to a shipment that either originated in or is destined for a foreign nation. Though the Federal statute itself is relatively simple, the case law has left some unanswered questions

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá návrhem pásového dopravníku pro přepravu slévárenského písku s dopravním výkonem 58 000 kg/hod, dopravní délkou 41 m a dopravní výškou 12,6 m. Práce zahrnuje stručný popis jednotlivých částí dopravníku, provedení funkčního výpočtu podle normy ČSN ISO 5048, určení hlavních rozměrů, návrhem pohonu a napínacího zařízení. Dále je proveden pevnostní výpočet hřídele vratného bubnu, kontroly napínacího šroubu na tah a otlačení v závitech. Práce dále obsahuje přiloženou výkresovou dokumentaci dle zadání.This bachelor thesis deals with the suggestion of the conveyor belt for the transport of the foundry sand with a delivery capacity of 58 000 kg/hr, transport length of 41 meters and transport height of 12,6 meters. The bachelor thesis includes the delivery description of the components of the conveyor belt, functional calculation according to the standard of ČSN ISO 5048, determination of the main sizes, suggestion of the propulsion and the conveyor belt. Strength calculation of the shaft of returnable cylinder, controls of the tension bolt for the pulling and imprinting in the thread are conducted. The bachelor thesis contains the drawing documentation in accordance with the assignment that is attached.

Evaluation of the Financial Performance of a Company in the Automotive Industry

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá hodnocením finanční výkonnosti společnosti z automobilového průmyslu. Cílem této práce bylo zhodnotit finanční výkonnost společnosti v letech 2015–2019, a to za pomocí finanční analýzy, souhrnných modelů finanční úrovně podniku a za pomocí ekonomické přidané hodnoty. V teoretické části byla formulována teoreticko-metodologická východiska zpracovaná na základě české a zahraniční odborné literatury. V praktické části byly aplikovány metody hodnocení finanční situace podniku, které byly popsané v teoretické části. Výsledkem práce jsou návrhy konkrétních opatření a ukazatelů, které by měly zlepšit situaci v podniku po finanční stránce.This master‘s thesis deals with the evaluation of the financial performance of a company from the automotive industry. The aim was to evaluate the financial performance of the company in the years of 2015-2019, using financial analysis, comprehensive models of the financial level of the company and economic value added. The theoretical part described the theoretical and methodological starting points were formulated on the basis of czech and foreign professional literature. In the practical part, methods of evaluating the financial situation of the company were applied by their definition in the theoretical part. Distributing Applications by Using SCCM

Tato diplomová práce slouží jako detailní manuál k vytvoření vlastního testovacího, či reálného, prostředí firmy, které je centralizovaně spravované vzdáleně pomocí SCCM serveru. Na začátku práce se dozvíme o většině funkcionalit, které SCCM nabízí, včetně jeho historie. Jednotlivé funkcionality jsou blíže rozebrány, ovšem největší pozornosti je kladeno na téma Software Library, tedy způsobům, pomocí kterých lze přes SCCM distribuovat jakýkoliv software od driverů, přes běžné aplikace až po aktualizace systému. Po popisu System Center Configuration Manageru jsou popsány typy instalačních souborů, včetně krátké ukázky a historie dané technologie. K vytvoření instalačních balíčků, a tedy zabalení instalátorů, je potřeba skriptovací jazyk schopný konfigurací systémových položek, a proto jsou některé technologie skriptů zmíněny. Poslední část práce obsahuje praktickou ukázku vytvoření virtuálního testovacího prostředí na platformě VMM, na kterém jsem demonstrovány jednotlivé případy užití aplikačního modelu, package modelu a task sekvence a jsou ukázány další funkce SCCM.This master thesis is used as a detailed guide for a creation of your own test or real environment of any kind of company, that is centralized and remotely managed by SCCM server. In the beginning we can get information about functionalities that SCCM is providing and also a brief history of it. Each functionality is deeply described, although the main focus is on Software Library that contains ways, how to distribute any kind of software, such as drivers, common applications and also system updates via SCCM. After this chapter we can find a description of different installation files technologies including examples of small pieces of codes and also history of each technology. For a creation of installation package we need any kind of scripting language, that is able to do basic configurations of system components and that does the packaging of installation file, so that is why we can find a mention of few scripting languages. Analysis of Communicative Styles of Selected Czech Politicans

Bakalářská práce „Analýza komunikačních stylů vybraných českých politiků“ se zabývá komunikačními styly, autorem čtrnácti subjektivně vybraných českých politiků. Pro potřeby analýzy jsou vymezena teoretická východiska samotné komunikace, její funkce a rozdělení na verbální a neverbální, stejně jako jedenáct komunikačních stylů. Cílem práce je aplikovat tyto teoretické poznatky a pomocí metody pozorování analyzovat komunikační styly jednotlivých politiků. Na základě stanoveného cíle byly sestaveny hypotézy, které budou dále potvrzeny či vyvráceny. For the purpose of analysis there are a theoretical definitions of verbal and nonverbal communication, communication at general, its function as well as eleven communication styles. The aim of this work is to apply these theoretical knowledge and analyze the communication styles of individual politicians using the method of observation. On the basis of the set objective, hypotheses have been drawn up that will be further confirmed or disproved. Tématem této bakalářské práce je řešení vytápění rodinného domu pomocí tepelného čerpadla s využitím podlahového vytápění. Systém vytápění je zaměřen na nenáročnost provozu a využití obnovitelných zdrojů tepla. Bakalářská práce je rozdělena a provedena dle potřeby pro prováděcí projekt, kterou stanovuje vyhláška o dokumentaci staveb č. 499/2006 Sb [1]. v platném znění. Hlavní část práce je zaměřena na vytápění, ohřev teplé vody a stavebně technické řešení objektu. Vytápění rodinného domu je navrženo jako kombinace nízkoteplotního podlahového vytápění a otopných těles. Hlavním zdrojem pro vytápění a ohřev teplé vody bude tepelné čerpadlo vzduch/voda. The main part of the work is focused on heating, hot water heating and construction solutions. The heating of a family house is designed as a combination of low-temperature floor heating and radiators. The main source for heating and hot water will be an air / water heat pump.
