ANALYZING AMERICAN POPULAR CULTURE PRODUCTS TO EXPLORE CULTURAL VALUES
Language and culture are two parts of cannot be separated each other, because culture is in language. The other side, to study English language as a foreign language in Indonesia, as same as study the English’s culture.To understand the culture is means to make a communication be fluently between the speakers and make the effective communication because culture as a basic of communication. To communicate is not only talk about the understanding of linguistic, but must understand about the paralanguage include kinesics, tone, the characteristic of sound, gesture and the expression of face that we can see when the interaction by communicate is happen. By the growing of America, the America culture become a means for the English students, especially for the young generation in many countries like the people in Indonesia, the table manner, relationship, and the life style become the size of somebody status. This life style become the growing reflection of somebody that have been followed by the people in many countries in the world, and this life style become a symbol of individual social status. The electronic media such as television, film, etc that have been successed to make the students of Indonesia bring the America-English and their life style be popular. Pengaruh Pendekatan Matematika Realistik Terhadap Kemampuan Penalaran Matematis Dalam Pembelajaran Matematika
The purpose of this study was to look at the effect of realistic mathematics learning on students 'reasoning abilities and to determine students' responses to mathematics learning with realistic mathematical approaches and their relation to mathematical reasoning abilities. This research was conducted at YPAK Galang of Junior High School at 2017/2018 Academic Year. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with the design of Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample in this study was 64 students consisting of 32 students for the experimental group and 32 students for the control group. The data analysis technique used in this study is a regression test. Based on the calculation of hypothesis regression linearity test (i) Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected because F_count < F table is -44.40 < 1.88 then the regression form is linear, and for testing the significance of hypothesis regression (ii) Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected because of Fcount > Ftable that is 44.402 > 3.96 means that there is a relationship of variable (X) to varabel (Y). Data collection techniques in the form of a questionnaire consisting of 14 items statement. Based on the calculation of questionnaire data on students 'responses to realistic mathematical learning, the percentage of students' responses that stated yes was 75.38% and the percentage of responses that stated was not 24.62%. Rancang Bangun Purwarupa Sistem Peringatan Pengendara Pelanggar Zebra Cross Berbasis Mikrokontroller ESP-32 CAM
Salah satu hak pejalan kaki yang tidak boleh dilanggar oleh pengendara lain yang melintas yaitu zebra cross. Peraturan agar tidak berhenti di zebra cross sudah diatur dalam Undang-Undang Lalu Lintas dan Angkutan Jalan (UULAJ) Nomor 22 Tahun 2019 pasal 284 yang berbunyi “Setiap orang yang mengemudikan kendaraan bermotor dengan tidak mengutamakan keselamatan pejalan kaki atau pesepeda sebagaimana yang dimaksud dalam pasal 106 ayat (2) dipidana kurungan paling lama 2 (dua) bulan dan denda sebesar Rp 500.000 (lima ratus ribu rupiah)”. Namun, masih banyak terdapat kendaraan bermotor yang melanggar aturan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini, dibangun purwarupa sistem peringatan pengendara pelanggar zebra cross berbasis mikrokontroler ESP32-CAM, dengan menggunakan sensor ultrasonic untuk mendeteksi kendaraan. Ketika sensor mendeteksi kendaraan melebihi garis zebra cross yang ditentukan dan keadaaan lampu sedang berwarna merah, maka buzzer akan berbunyi sebagai peringatan pengendara yang melanggar garis zebra cross untuk mundur ke garis yang seharusnya. Selanjutnya, sistem akan meng-capture pelanggaran yang terjadi dan hasil tangkapan layarnya akan dikirimkan ke telegram sebagai bukti pelanggaran. Hasil dari penelitian ini, sensor ultrasonic mampu bekerja apabila terdapat kendaraan yang melintasi melewati garis batas sejauh 65,6 cm pada saat lampu berwarna merah. Pada saat terjadi pelanggaran, buzzer berbunyi menandakan pelanggaran terjadi dan kamera ESP32-CAM akan menangkap layar dan mengirimkan ke telegram sebagai bukti pelanggaran. Perhitungan waktu saat buzzer berbunyi sampai akhirnya gambar diterima dan ter-download sempurna ke telegram yaitu sebesar 5,2 – 7,99 detik.One of the rights of pedestrians that other passing motorists must not violate is zebra cross. Regulations so as not to stop at Zebra cross have been regulated in the Traffic and Road Transport Law (UULAJ) Number 22 of 2019 article 284, which reads, "Everyone who drives a motorized vehicle without prioritizing the safety of pedestrians or cyclists as referred to in article 106 paragraph (2) shall be sentenced to a maximum imprisonment of 2 (two) months and a fine of Rp. 500,000 (five hundred thousand rupiahs)”. However, many motorized vehicles stop at the zebra cross line, so it is difficult for pedestrians to cross the road because they are blocked by the car. Therefore, this study built a warning system for violators of zebra cross at red lights using the ESP32-CAM microcontroller, using ultrasonic sensors to detect vehicles. When the sensor detects the vehicle exceeds the specified zebra cross line and the sunlight is red, the buzzer will signal drivers who violate the Zebra cross line to back down to the appropriate queue. Next, the system will capture the violation, and the screenshot will be sent to the telegram as evidence of the breach. The results of this study show that ultrasonic sensors can work if vehicles cross the 65.6 cm boundary line when the light is red. When a violation occurs, a buzzer sounds indicating a violation has occurred, and the ESP32-CAM camera will capture the screen and send it to a telegram as evidence of a breach. The calculation of when the buzzer sounds until the image is finally received and downloaded perfectly to Telegram is 5.2 – 7.99 seconds. KEGIATAN FUN ENGLISH BAGI ANAK-ANAK DI PANTI ASUHAN CIANGSANA BOGOR
ABSTRAK Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris, motivasi dan konsentrasi peserta dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris Kegiatan ini bertajukkan Fun English, yaitu kegiatan belajar bahasa Inggris menyenangkan dengan menggunakan metode resitasi untuk menyampaikan materi pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Kegiatan pengabdian ini difokuskan pada keterampilan berbicara (speaking) dan keterampilan menulis (writing) khusus pada penguasaan kosakata dalam kalimat sederhana. PKM ini dilaksanakan untuk anak-anak yang tinggal di Yayasan Mahabbatul Yatim. Sebuah panti asuhan untuk anak-anak yatim dan piatu yang kurang mampu. Yayasan ini berlokasi di Kampung Pabuaran Wetan Ciangsana Kabupaten Bogor. Peserta yang mengikuti adalah khusus putri berlatar belakang pendidikan sekolah menengah (SMP/SMA/SMK). Pencapaian hasil PKM ini adalah peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam menguasai kosakata bahasa Inggris (dalam topik atau materi yang diajarkan). Peserta telah dapat mengatakan beberapa kosakata dengan benar. Peserta telah memahami cara menulis kalimat sederhana dengan benar dan dapat berbicara (membaca dialog). Akhirnya, konsentrasi dan motivasi peserta juga meningkat, ini terbukti dari hasil eveluasi kegiatan dalam post-test. Dengan demikian, peserta juga merasa bahagia dan tidak merasa canggung saat berpartisipasi dalam semua kegiatan bahasa Inggris yang menyenangkan di PKM ini. ABSTRACTThis PKM activity aims to improve the ability to speak English, motivation, and concentration of participants in English learning. This activity is titled Fun English, which is a fun English learning activity using the method of recitation to deliver English learning materials. This service activity is focused on speaking skills and writing skills specifically on mastery of vocabulary in simple sentences. This PKM is held for children who live in the Mahabbatul Yatim Foundation. An orphanage for orphans and less able orphans. This foundation is located in Kampung Pabuaran Wetan Ciangsana, Bogor Regency. Participants who followed were special daughters with secondary school education backgrounds (SMP/SMA/SMK). The achievement of the results of this PKM is the increase in the ability of participants in mastering English vocabulary (in the topic or material taught). Participants have been able to say several vocabulary correctly. Participants have understood how to write simple sentences correctly and are able to speak (read dialogue). Finally, the concentration and motivation of participants also increased, this is evident from the results of the eveluation of activities in post-test. Thus, participants also felt happy and did not feel awkward while participating in all Fun English activities at this PKM. Peran Keluarga Dalam Merawat Anggota Keluarga Dengan TB Paru
Tuberkulosis paru adalah penyakit yang dapat ditularkan langsung melalui kuman TB
(
Mycobacterium tuberculosis
), dan menjadi krisis di seluruh dunia sehingga dilakukanlah
suatu program pengendalian yang disponsori Nasional (RNTCP). Keluarga merupakan
komponen yang penting dalam memberikan dukungan fisik dan fsikologis dalam merawat
anggota keluarga dengan TB paru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membahas peran
keluarga dalam merawat anggota keluarga dengan TB paru. Metode penelitian yang
digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif fenomenologis, yang
mana dalam penelitian ini pula terdiri dari 6 orang informan yang berasal dari keluarga
inti dengan ketentuan terdapat anggota keluarga yang menderita TB paru tersebut. Dari
hasil penelitian diperoleh 6 tema yaitu 1) Pengetahuan keluarga, tingkat keseriusan,
dan penularan, 2) Hambatan keluarga, 3) Keyakinan keluarga, 4) Dukungan keluarga
dan Kesehatan setempat 5) Pendampingan, pemenuhan nutrisi, dan pengawasan 6)
Pemahaman keluarga mengenai lingkungan sehat. Hal ini diakibatkan karena keluarga
belum memahami penularan dari TB paru, kurangnya ekonomi, waktu dan pengetahuan,
kurangnya informasi selama proses pengobatan, kurangnya pengawasan dalam
pemberian obat dan gizi, serta keluarga tidak menyadari akan pentingnya lingkungan
sehat. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kurangnya
peran keluarga dalam merawat anggota keluarga yang menderita TB paru. Dari hasil
tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran keluarga dalam merawat anggota keluarga TB
paru kurang. Sehingga diharapkan lebih meningkatkan adanya pendampingan keluarga
bagi anggota keluarga yang menderita TB paru seperti memperhatikan gizi, mengawasi
untuk minum obat, mengingatkan istirahat, menanyakan keluhan, menemani kontrol ke
Puskesmas atau Rumah sakit agar tidak putus obat, serta memperhatikan lingkungan

PENGGUNAAN AUDIO-LINGUAL METHOD DALAM PELATIHAN BAHASA INGGRIS PADA SISWA TINGKAT SEKOLAH DASAR DI YAYASAN MAHABBATUL YATIM CIANGSANA KABUPATEN BOGOR
Abstract
This activity aimed to help the children in learning about English by using audio lingual method. This activity was done by using audio lingual method to improve the English language skills of the children who live in Yayasan Yatim Piatu Mahabbatul Yatim, located in kampung Pabuaran Wetan, Ciangsana, Gunung Putri Bogor. This study is aimed for the students that still study in Elementry School. Their skill in English was poor because during this time they assumed that English language subject in the school was very difficult and scary.This activity through English language training, the writers try use audio lingua method to teach the children in the orphanage. In this study use film and song media. This methode was choosen by writers because there is no facility they get from their school. The result of this program showed that they are more anthusias to learn about English than before. They know that English is fun and easy. Something new that they never got before. So, after they learn English in this program, they can develop their skill in English, can help their English lesson at school, and have more confident to study English. Besides that by this study the writers can assess and measure the efficiency of audio lingua method in learning English.

Kegiatan pelatihan bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan metode ALM (Audio Lingual Methode) ini untuk memberikan suasana dan cara yang berbeda dalam belajar bahasa Inggris. Dalam kegiatan ini, penulis menggunakan media film dan lagu. Metode ini dipilih karena tidak adanya fasilitas untuk yang mereka dapatkan sebelumnya di sekolah mereka.Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa mereka lebih antusias untuk belajar bahasa Inggris daripada sebelumnya.Sesuatu yang baru mereka dapatkan dalam belajar bahasa Inggris dari yang sebelumnya.Setelah mereka belajar bahasa Inggris melalui pelatihan ini, mereka mendapat pengetahuan dan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris mereka meningkat. USING ROLE PLAYING METHOD TO IMPROVE STUDENTS SPEAKING SKILLS AT SMP MARISI MEDAN
One of the skills that must be mastered in learning English is speaking. But many peopledo not have the confidence to speak English because of some problems suchaspronunciation, and vocabulary. One method that can improve students' speakingskillsisthe role-playing method. This study aims to determine the application of the role-playingmethod in improving students' speaking skills in speaking English in class IXSMPMarisi Medan. Researchers used the roleplaying method to improve students' speakingskills. The author uses quantitative research. The research subjects were gradeIXstudents. The author took one class used in the study consisting of 38 students. Afterusing the role-playing method, students can improve their speaking skills. This increasecan be seen from the results of observations and practice. Data collection techniquesusing documentation, questionnaires, and observations. The results of data processingshowed an increase in students' speaking ability which was applied by the role-playingmethod. This is evident from the results of the questionnaire. The overall resultsofrespondents' answers obtained strongly disagree as much as 43.9 %, disagreeasmuchas 161.4%, agree as much as 409.4%, and strongly agree 397.5%. Based on theresultsof this study, it can be concluded that the use of the Role Playing method canimprovestudents' speaking skills in English lessons. Based on the results of the study, therearesuggestions to be conveyed to teachers who will conduct English learning toconsiderthe use of learning methods, such as the Role Playing method which has beenproventoimprove students' speaking skills.

PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN APRESIASI SASTRA SISWA SMP MELALUI MODEL INVESTIGASI KELOMPOK
The purpose of this study was to apply an effective learning model in increasing the ability to appreciate literature while at the same time increasing the interest and ability of the students of SMP Negeri 14 Binjai towards literary works. The research conducted was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the research subject of 25 grade IX students of SMP Negeri 14 Binjai in the 2020/2021 academic year. The object of this research is the ability of students to rewrite the contents of the story (rewrite), retell the story (retell), and conclude the moral message as well as relate it to student life (reflection). The learning process to appreciate literature is carried out in two cycles through four stages, namely: the action planning stage, the action implementation stage, the observation stage, and the analysis and reflection stage. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the students' ability to appreciate literature increases, this is indicated by the increase in the results of the three tests (rewrite, retell, reflection) of students at the end of each cycle. The average value of students' appreciation of literature has increased in each cycle, namely: 1) in the initial survey as many as 7 students (28%) of the total students who achieved a complete score, with an overall average score of 62.76; 2) in the first cycle, 15 students (60%) achieved a complete score, with an average overall score of 66.88; 3) in the second cycle there was a drastic increase in student mastery, namely a total of 25 students (100%) achieving a complete score with an average value of 78.8
PENDAMPINGAN TERAPI AKTIVITAS KELOMPOK STIMULASI SENSORI PADA KLIEN HALUSINASI DI RUMAH SAKIT JIWA MEDAN
Halusinasi masih menjadi masalah utama pada klien skizofrenia yang dirawat di Rumah Sakit Jiwa. Terapi modalitas diperlukan untuk mendukung farmakoterapi pengobatan skizofrenia. Salah satu terapi aktivitas kelompok yang mampu mengontrol halusinasi klien skizofrenia adalah stimulasi sensori. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pendampingan dalam terapi aktivitas kelompok stimulasi sensori pada klien skizofrenia yang mengalami halusinasi di RSJ Prof. M.Ildrem Medan. Kegiatan dilakukan dua kali dengan durasi 60 menit, terdiri dari sesi pembukaan, sesi mengidentifikasi halusinasi dan latihan menghardik, dan sesi evaluasi serta tindak lanjut. Pendampingan diberikan kepada enam klien skizofrenia yang dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok. Stimulasi sensori diberikan dengan permainan bisik kata dan mengidentifikasi suara. Hasil dan kesimpulan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah sangat baik dimana klien mampu mengidentifikasi stimulus sensori yang diberikan. Klien juga mampu mengidentifikasi halusinasinya dan melakukan cara menghardik halusinasi yang benar. Pelaksanaan terapi aktivitas kelompok stimulasi sensori sebaiknya rutin dilakukan untuk mengontrol halusinasi klien skizofrenia, serta melibatkan anggota keluarga untuk menghindari kejadian relaps atau rawat inap ulang
