This final project is entitled “The Conflict Between The Weis Timelenders Bank and Society in Andrew Niccol`sIn Time.” The aim of this final project is to describe the conflict in In Time`s. This final project adopts Marxist theory of capitalism. The theory is used to figure out the impact of capitalism on the society. The method used in this study is cinematic analysis and textual analysis. To get the data, the writer reads books and took some notes that are related to the topic, both trough the library research and the internet. The conclusion of this final project shows that the working class makes resistances to the capitalist; and the working class needs a freedom to actualize themselve

HUBUNGAN STRES DAN KECANDUAN SMARTPHONE PADA SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 5 SURAKARTA

Siswa kelas X dalam tahapan peralihan dari SMP menuju SMA dituntut untuk segera beradaptasi dengan lingkungan dan menguasai materi-materi pelajaran yang belum pernah disiswai sebelumnya. Dengan kecanggihan smartphone siswa kelas X dapat menyelesaikan permasalahan yang harus mereka selesaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara stres dengan kecanduan smartphone pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara stres dengan kecanduan smartphone pada siswa kelas X SMA N 5 Surakarta. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta sebanyak 300 siswa. Sampel sebanyak 148 siswa yang terdiri dari 53 laki-laki dan 95 perempuan diperoleh dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang di analisis adalah Skala Stres (32 item; α = 0,88 ) dan Skala Kecanduan Smartphone (29 item; α = 0,91). Analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan antara stres dengan kecanduan smartphone subjek (rxy = 0,40; p < 0,001). Hasil penelitian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima, yaitu terdapat hubungan antara stres dan kecanduan smartphone pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta. Analisis data menunjukkan R2 = 0,16 yang menjelaskan bahwa sumbangan stres terhadap kecanduan smartphone sebesar 16 % sedangkan sisanya 84 % ditentukan oleh faktor lain. Peneliti memberi saran untuk peneliti selanjutnya agar melakukan penelitian kepada kelompok subjek yang memiliki stres dan tingkat kecanduan smartphone yang tinggi

Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi Persamaan Linear Satu Variabel menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning di kelas VII-7 SMP Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan 2 siklus. Hasil tes awal menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa rendah dengan nilai rata-rata kelas VII-7 adalah 48,33. Setelah pemberian tindakan pada siklus I, nilai rata-rata tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah I adalah 76 dengan jumlah siswa yang telah mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebanyak 21 orang (70%). Setelah dilakukan perbaikan dari siklus I pada siklus II, nilai rata-rata tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah II adalah 81,33 dengan jumlah siswa yang telah mencapai tingkat ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebanyak 26 orang (86,67%). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning ini dapat dijadikan salah satu alternatif pembelajaran

Application Of The Simple Additive Weighting (Saw) Method In Determining The Restaurant Employees Worth To Be Promoted (Case Study: Xo Suki Restaurant & Dimsum Medan)

XO Suki &amp; Dimsum Medan is a Japanese food restaurant that is full of enthusiasts. Every month the customers who visit this restaurant can reach 10,000 people. Therefore, the welfare of employees needs to be considered by business owners so that customer satisfaction is always maintained. To improve the welfare of employees, restaurant business owners have a way that makes employees more enthusiastic, namely by recruiting employees who have met the requirements for higher positions. By increasing the position of the employee, it will automatically increase their income as well. This is what makes XO Suki &amp; Dimsum Medan employees feel at home to work at the restaurant. According to the results of observations made at the XO Suki &amp; Dimsum Medan restaurant, that in the process of hiring employees or commonly known as promotion is still subjective, so the decision for employees who get a promotion becomes unfair. In making decisions that are not in accordance with the conditions that occur in the field. In decision making, many factors need to be considered, namely the following criteria: loyalty, honesty, responsibility, work performance, and work initiative. So far, job promotions carried out by superiors and business owners are still often based on the closest person and oldest employee. Sometimes when one of the employees resigns / escapes (stops) it suddenly results in the boss having to choose or find an urgent position and requires a quick decision. These things cause the results of the election or promotion to be inaccurate and unfair. In order to facilitate and speed up decision making regarding the promotion of XO Suki &amp; Dimsum Medan employees, a system is needed that can manage and select these factors in order to get accurate, fast, and precise decisions

ANALISIS UNSUR MUSIK JAZZ DAN RAP PADA MUSIK ENIGMA KARYA INTHESKY BAND

Skripsi ini membahas tentang Analisis Unsur Musik Jazz dan Rap Pada Musik Enigma Karya Inthesky Band. Penulis menggunakan metode penelitian partisipatif dan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa musik Enigma memiliki unsur-unsur musik jazz dan rap. Unsur musik jazz terdapat empat elemen, yaitu blue note, improvisasi, sinkopasi, dan shufle note.&nbsp; Pada unsur rap yang ditemui pada musik Enigma, yaitu punchline. Lirik Enigma termasuk kedalam permainan kata-kata metafora. Pada ritme musik Enigma ditemui ada swing jazz dan suffle note yang memperjelas unsur jazz dan rap di dalamnya. Harapan penulis lewat skripsi ini dapat lebih memahami unsur-unsur musik jazz dan rap yang terkandung didalamnya. Karena itu dapat membantu luasnya pengetauan kita tentang genre musik yang ada di dunia

Analyzing Project Management Maturity Level in Indonesia

Project management has been generally known and increasingly used by many organizations to gain competitive advantage. In this context, many studies have proposed maturity models to evaluate how project management knowledge has been deployed effectively and efficiently in organization. As a developing country, Indonesia needs many development projects managed by government and private companies in different industries. Here, a study to assess project management maturity level in Indonesian businesses may bring insight about current business practices, which is important to speed up country development and business sustainability.&nbsp; Adapting the Project Management Maturity Model (ProMMM), a survey instrument has been developed and applied to professionals from Jakarta and surrounding area.&nbsp; The result of analysis shows that construction and primary industry have a higher maturity level compare to manufacturing and services.&nbsp; It is to be noted, however, that the level of project management understanding is low across industries.&nbsp; This indicates that more quality project management training or certification is required to improve overall project management knowledge in Indonesia

Supply chain uncertainty:a review and theoretical foundation for future research

Supply-chain uncertainty is an issue with which every practising manager wrestles, deriving from the increasing complexity of global supply networks. Taking a broad view of supply-chain uncertainty (incorporating supply-chain risk), this paper seeks to review the literature in this area and develop a theoretical foundation for future research. The literature review identifies a comprehensive list of 14 sources of uncertainty, including those that have received much research attention, such as the bullwhip effect, and those more recently described, such as parallel interaction. Approaches to managing these sources of uncertainty are classified into: 10 approaches that seek to reduce uncertainty at its source; and, 11 approaches that seek to cope with it, thereby minimising its impact on performance. Manufacturing strategy theory, including the concepts of alignment and contingency, is then used to develop a model of supply-chain uncertainty, which is populated using the literature review to show alignment between uncertainty sources and management strategies. Future research proposed includes more empirical research in order to further investigate: which uncertainties occur in particular industrial contexts; the impact of appropriate sources/management strategy alignment on performance; and the complex interplay between management strategies and multiple sources of uncertainty (positive or negative)

This study is intended to further investigate this issue and gain a better understanding of how the Internet, especially social media, can really affect ecosystems and operations of start-up companies. A quantitative research using surveys has been applied and questionnaire data were collected from 104 start-up companies. The result of analysis shows that start-up companies have started using the Internet and social media as an integral part of their business ecosystem to increase sales where Fashion and Food &amp; Beverage (F&amp;B) are the types of businesses that gain most benefits

The Impact of Internal Control Effectiveness and Internal Audit Role toward the Performance of Local Government

This study aimed to examine the impact of the internal control effectiveness and internal audit role toward the performance of  local government.This research was conducted by census. Data analysis methods to test the hypothesis was regression analysis using SPSS. The data is primary data collected through questionnaires. This study conducted the validity and reliability test before the hypothesis test.This study concludeds that there was a positive influence of the internal control effectiveness and internal audit role on the performance of local governments both simultaneously and partially. Penggunaan Instrumen Musik Taganing dan Keyboard dalam Iringan Nyanyian Ibadah Minggu di HKBP Palmarum Tarutung

This study aims to determine the use of traditional Toba Batak taganing music instruments in collaboration with modern Western keyboards/music instruments to the accompaniment of Sunday worship songs at the HKBP Palmarum Tarutung church in 2015. The research method uses a descriptive method which aims to describe the use of taganing and keyboard musical instruments to accompany the music. Sunday worship songs at the HKBP Palmarum Tarutung church. Based on the results of this study, suggestions are made for the congregation and parhalado (management) of the HKBP Palmarum Tarutung church to look for taganing players who can then explain the technique of playing the instrument in accompanying Sunday worship songs so that the hitting technique is more varied, as well as conducting comparative studies with the Gondang music studio and the University Medan State University, North Sumatra University and HKBP Nommensen University Medan. For other researchers, this invention can be used as a reference for research on the use of taganing musical instruments and keyboards to accompany Sunday worship songs
