Herz-Type Hardy Spaces for the Dunkl Operator on the Real Line

2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: Primary 46F12, Secondary 44A15, 44A35We introduce some new weighted Herz spaces associated with the Dunkl operator on R. Also we characterize by atomic decompositions the corresponding Herz-type Hardy spaces. As applications we investigate the Dunkl transform on these spaces and establish a version of Hardy inequality for this transform.* The authors are supported by the DGRST research project 04/UR/15-02

Paramètres agronomiques liés à la tolérance au sel chez le haricot (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)

Agronomical traits associated with salinity-tolerance in common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Identifying multiple agronomical parameters associated with salinity-tolerance is important for evaluating common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) cultivars and improving their tolerance to salinity. Six cultivars were grown in soil, under glasshouse conditions and exposed to three salinity levels (control, 25 and 50 mM NaCl) to evaluate their tolerance using their biomass and the relative salt-susceptibility index: I.S.R.S. = D.R.B./I.I.S. (D.R.B.: relative biomass deficit and I.I.S.: salinity intensity index). On the other hand, a comparative field trial was conducted at four experimental stations of INRAT (Ariana, Oued Beja, Oued Meliz and Sejnane) during three consecutive years with sixteen cultivars to determine their grain yield stability, grain size and precocity. Results showed that tolerant cultivars are colour-seeded, early and presented yield stability and medium grain size. By contrast the susceptible cultivars are late, white-seeded and characterized by a less stable yield and small to medium grain size

We give a description of all transmutation operators from the Bessel-Struve operator to the second-derivative operator. Next we define and characterize the mean-periodic functions on the space ℋ of entire functions and we characterize the continuous linear mappings from ℋ into itself which commute with Bessel-Struve operator

In this paper, we show the inclusion and the density of the Schwartz space in Besov-Dunkl spaces and we prove an interpolation formula for these spaces by the real method. We give another characterization for these spaces by convolution. Finally, we establish further results concerning integrability of the Dunkl transform of function in a suitable Besov-Dunkl space

UCx_x target design for the SPIRAL 2 project and the ALTO project

ACC NESTERInternational audienceTwo ways of production of radioactive beams using uranium carbide targets are taken into consideration: fission induced by fast neutrons and by bremsstrahlung radiation. For the SPIRAL 2 project, the fission of 238U in uranium carbide target will be induced by a neutron flow created by bombarding a carbon converter with a 40 MeV high intensity deuteron beam. Calculations and design of the target in order to reach 1013 fissions/s with good release time have been done. The second way is the photofission using an electron beam. In 2005 the ALTO project (Accélérateur Linéaire Auprès du Tandem d'Orsay) will give a 50 MeV/10μ\muA electron beam. This facility will allow more than 1011 fissions/s. In this case, the electron beam hits the target without converter. Calculations realised in order to estimate the production are used to choose the best target shape. For the two cases some R & D on targets to improve release is described

Background: The aim of this study was to assess the antimycobacterial, antioxidant and the cytotoxic activities of the essential oil from the gall part of Pistacia atlantica Desf from Algeria.Materials and Methods: The antimycobacterial activity was evaluated by the broth microdilution method against three species of mycobacteria: Mycobacterium smegmatis, Mycobacterium aurum and Mycobacterium fortuitum. Antioxidant activity was determined using free-radical scavenging assays. The safety of essential oil was assessed by the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay on C3A and Vero monkey kidney cells. Results: The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) values ranged from 0.16 to 2.5 mg/mL with minimal bactericidal concentration (MBC) values ranged from 0.62 to >2.5 mg/mL. The antioxidant activity showed IC50 values ranged between 417.61 - >2000μg/mL and 495.6 - >2000μg/mL for DPPH and ABTS assay respectively. The cytotoxicity assay showed LC50 ranged between 26.47 to 93.64 μg/mL against Vero cells and 74.29 to 225.40 μg/mL against C3A. The results of this study show that the essential oils from the gall of P. atlantica have low toxicity and moderate activity against fast growing M. smegmatis and M. aurum. Conclusion: These results substantiate their potential as used in the treatment of non-tuberculous mycobacterial infections. This finding is predictive of their activity against M. tuberculosis, therefore, further study might be considered to investigate the activity against pathogenic Mycobacterium strains.Key words: Pistacia atlantica, Essential oil, Antimycobacterial, Antioxidant, Cytotoxicity

The calculations of thermodynamic and opto-electronics properties of Pb1-xCaxSe semiconducting ternary Alloys

The ab initio full potential linearized augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW) method within density functional theory was applied to study the effect of composition on the structural and electronic properties Pbl-xCaxSe temary alloys. The effect of composition on lattice parameter, bulk modulus, band gap was investigate. Deviations of the lattice constant from Vegard’s law and the bulk modulus from linear concentration dependence were observed. In addition, the microscopic origins of compositional disorder were explained by using the approach of Zunger and co-workers. The disorder parameter (gap bowing) was found to be strong and was mainly caused by the chemical charge transfer effect. The volume deformation contributions for all alloys were also found to be significant, while the structural relaxation contributions to the gap bowing parameter were relatively smaller. On the other hand, the thermodynamic stability and optical properties are attempted in the calculations. The calculated refractive indices and optical dielectric constants for the parent compounds show better agreement with the known data when the Moss relation is used. Compositional dependence of the optical and electronic properties studied is also investigated
